The service is awesome and the hair cuts are high quality and super cheap. Ladies cuts are only $16.50!! I KNOW!! It is totally awesome, particularly for students like me. Paying anything more for a haircut tends to drive me a little crazy so it's a good thing that these prices are here to stay. They haven't changed in the years that I have known about the salon so I'd hedge a pretty good bet that they'll be around for awhile. The salon is clean, the hairdressers are friendly and talkative and the atmosphere is comfortable and warm. As well as hair they also provide spray tan and waxing services although I have never utilised those.

I also said I dont want anything brassy, she said ok. During my treatment her child was sitting in a pram behind me, she said he got sent home from daycare because he was sick. During this time i had to listen to an angry male customer arguing with the other hairdresser next to me because she didnt cut his hair the way he asked her to upon paying he said i dont like my hair you didnt cut it the way i wanted. It looked hideous like bowl cut. I felt sorry for him and was just releaved she wasnt doing my hair. My hairdresser said he wasnt happy with you, hes out the front taking photos. When drying my hair off the hairdresser burnt my head she wasnt watching and held the dryer in the same place without moving it and burnt my scalp i yelled in pain and pulled my head away. Once dried she said what do you think fighting back tears I said i dont like it i didnt want brassy i asked for platnum blomde, she put more toner on but it didnt make any difference. I said i still dont like it its a brassy brown not blonde. The other haitdrrsser who messed up the mans haircut said just put purple shampoo in it. My hairdrrsser saw the irate look on my face and said come back next week ( xmas eve) and il fix it for you by using a stronger volume free of charge. I was worried about having to put my hair through such a drying and damaging process for a second time but could not stand the colour as i had got exactly what i said i did not want. I did return and my hair was not blonde but a brassy brown after the 2nd fix up appointment. I said i hate it tearfully and as she showed me out of the seat to leave i was told oh its just the light in here. I am extremely happy with my haircut and blow wave and Lisa did an amazing job as I have very fine hair. Lisa has many years experience as a hairdresser and it shows on the way she cut my hair, she is very gentle in washing and styling hair, gave me good advice and service. I will definitely go again and ask for Lisa who normally works on a Thursday and Friday and was there just to fill in a leave, so I am glad I go to to know Lisa. I highly recommend Lisa!!

Lust for Hair is one bright hairdressing salon. I mean it, they are bright yellow and you…read moreabsolutely cannot go past without seeing them. The salon itself looks fresh (perhaps because of the yellow?) and is always clean. The staff here are super friendly and chatty and getting your hair done here is always a pleasant experience. I find that they can be a little expensive so I tend to only go there when I am treating myself. The hairdressing expertise here is pretty standard - not bad but not amazing either. I often have a few hairs that have been missed after an appointment there. That can be a little annoying but everyone's human after all. There is also a lady there now who does nails and manicures and such however I have not had my nails done there yet. I've noticed the hairdressers are often quite busy while she sits without any customers - not sure why that is. Maybe people don't know that she is there. Otherwise it is a decent salon, give them a go.
