I love my new house. I feel like the finishings and appliances included are higher end than a typical new build and these all came standard. Paint and finishings are all beutifully designed. Every interaction I've had with this company has been an absolute net negative. On several occasions, Rohit and their workers have parked in front of my house, right against my garbage bin that I put out the night before. In the past year, this has caused my garbage to go uncollected on multiple occasions. Twice, they even drove into the bin, knocked it over, and left garbage strewn across the street. I don't know if this reflects their company culture, their hiring standards, or if it's simply bad luck that they hire people who are grossly incompetent. Garbage company - They will avoid you like the plague to finish any warranty work - then three years later after still chasing them they'll say it's not their problem because it's out of warranty coverage when the company simply has SUCH A BAD TURN OVER RATE that no one has a clue what's going on. Bought a house 6 years ago and found out they do not build to code. Our bathroom had no waterproof material used. Regular dry wall was behind no water proof membrane. Did not seal the grout and we have nothing but mold. Tried to see how the warranty would cover since it was negligence but it was past the "warranty" they told us. So the only way is to fight in court which would cost us more than the repair ($20,000) DO NOT BUY A HOUSE MADE BY THEM. read more

First, they never sent the 35 day to possession letter. When they moved the date they again did not send the letter on time. Nobody responded to emails or voicemails. I got the letter late with my name misspelled. After days of calling, I got a hold of someone and got the letter a week late. It says Rohit would charge me for a late possession even if they sent the letter late. They left a metal ramp on my driveway. I called and emailed. They responded late, and never followed up (despite me asking). I couldn't park. After a week I took it apart myself. Then the ramp installers came and said they told Rohit they can't put it there and that it could damage the driveway, but they didn't care. The site supervisor denies knowing this. The ramp kept ice from melting underneath. My driveway was covered with metal shards, screws, and nails (many stuck in ice). Rohit says this is normal. They did not clean it because breaking the ice would void the warranty. I cleaned it myself when the ice melted. They never followed up. They left a big pile of waste on my yard and refused to clean it for weeks. Then it snowed and the site supervisor took a picture of the snow and said there was "nothing there". At my one month review, I pointed it out. They cleaned it much later, but left the base of the pile (and tracked mud all over my driveway). I made them come back. I pointed out a scratch on the window at possession. They confirmed it was a scratch and recorded it. I brought it up later and was told it never happened so I forwarded the form Rohit sent me. Since I moved, people contracted by Rohit have blocked my driveway with their trucks. Rohit said they monitored my house and it is not Rohit. So I sent pictures. Then they said that because the street is technically public parking, they won't even ask the contractors not to park there. They don't communicate properly if at all, deny things happened, then deny responsibility when they are proven wrong. read more

I would not recommend this company at all. Be aware what you are signing with them!! A hard working Filipino friend of mine made a very large deposit on a home. The financing wasn't approved with Cmhc. Now they are refusing to give her deposit back. She was stalled and I feel taken advantage of. read more

Rohit, as a company, ruined the home buying experience. They have proven that customer satisfaction is irrelevant and are interested only in profit, and not in doing the right thing. We were actually blocked from entering in warranty requests for repairs to our siding, concrete, roof and deck before being essentially told to take a hike because we : a) requested to be present when contractors were to be on our property and b) for asking the concrete contractor to cease the repairs they were doing when it was clear their solution was causing more problems than it was solving. As a woman, even working in the construction industry, I have NEVER been treated so poorly and spoken to like I'm an ignorant woman not worth respect. I recorded conversations with various representatives because my initial treatment set the tone for the months to come. I even had to go to the trouble of adding my husband to the title because Rohit stated they didn't have to deal with him - accurate but wouldn't have been necessary if I was treated fairly...it took one week after that before they refused to help us with anything. Our roof has dozens of exposed and rusted nails, the shingles incorrectly laid such that a roof that would have lasted 20 years won't protect our home for more than two - confirmed by an independent roofing contractor. The garage concrete is heaving - even the repairs using quickset that should be 10 times stronger, cracked and crumbled after two days of application. I'm not an expert but brought in someone who is.  He reported that the original pour was incorrect from the base through to the pour itself (too much water) - not my opinion based on limited experience but confirmed by an independent contractor. The local superintendent himself admitted that my home, in addition to two neighbors, were expected to be problem homes right from the framing stage - needless to say this didn't help the siding issues. We have entire sections loose (still), many areas were left cut short and cracked siding is still present after two attempts at having the concern addressed. None of the contractors coming in would listen to where to find these problems and Rohit very clearly instructed me to stop sending photos of the damaged/problem areas. To date, we still haven't had anyone look at or address the deck that is entirely out of level - stairs installed after the sod leaving gaps and not plumb, footing cracked and brackets that aren't even the right size. I cannot believe that a homebuilder is allowed to continue doing business in this fashion. Everyone was super friendly until a request for warranty repair was made..."we will be good to you if you're good to us"...this from the superintendent about one week after moving in. I thought this was about delivering a product that was paid for in full - not about receiving favors on the off chance they aren't too inconvenient. Had I known this was the treatment that I could look forward to, I would have instructed my lawyer to never released the hold back funds. Now that they have all of their money, the customer service folks are all too ready to shake us off onto Alberta New Home Warranty, which we were going to pursue with the concrete pad given that the repairs offered were clearly not going to solve the problem. Not one person Rohit has bothered to follow up with me other than to essentially fire us as customers, or to address how I personally have been treated. I would never purchase another home from Rohit nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. In fact I feel responsible to warn potential buyers. I'm sure that there have been other builds with success stories attached to them, but in talking to more than half a dozen home owners in our area, it's clear that they  have experienced the same poor treatment and lack of professionalism, coupled with a distinct lack of ownership and responsibility in the delivered product. read more

Don't do it!!! Looks great but then you need to deal with their customer service. The house itself had issues as it was put up pretty quickly. In addition there are many design flaws. Petty stuff for them such as they won't replace a shrub that died just after you moved in, definiltey won't replace any dead grass. Any repairs you're entitled to are not completed to your standard or anyone's standard. Terrible contractors doing the work and you fight Rohit to get it done properly. I would strongly recommend peole to stay away from Rohit !!!! read more

PLEASE DONT BUY A HOME WITH THIS BUILDER!!!!! I bought my first home with Rohit in Sherwood Park. Other then the fact that is wasn't worth what I paid.....I had other problem right from the start. On the day of my possession, the representative walked me into the house, told me to sign a piece of paper, gave me the keys and left. No walk through was ever done and when I went upstairs to inspect the home, there was still tape from all the touch ups they were supposed to make. None of the touch ups had been repaired. Fast forward....a leak started to form above the kitchen table....above is the master bathroom....after paying for their plumber twice to come look at it, it was determined that there was no seal around the overflow in the bathtub and when water went through, it went straight down into the drywall. Rohit refused to pay for it and stopped responding to my calls. I was supposed to have a one year inspection before the warranty ran out and I had a list a mile long for them when they were scheduled to show up.....they were a no show. I called to follow up multiple times and never was called back. Please learn from my mistakes and don't buy a home from this builder. One room is hot while the other is cold. You can hear everything from the basement, and much more. Waste of time, waste of everything I worked so hard to save for. read more
