From what Iheard from my Remax agent,Nigel, and from how she conducted the sale transaction, I was impressed by Jaquie. I felt that she cared about her client's interests and that she was fair. She was respectful and honest throughout the negotiations ' and sale process. I would definitely recommend Jaquie to others.

So this can be a big saving on how much you get back on the sale. That being said, you still may not pay the 1% to the other agent, as I found out in my case (only reason not full 5 stars, as I was never told this in the beginning). If the buyer had signed an agreement to their agent on the usual commission, then you are obliged to pay them the normal rate (so 3.5/1.5% for their portion). I still saved money though, as I only paid my agent 1%. This is something you will have to discuss with the realtor. That being said, I had recommended my friend in using the same agent to sell his house, and he did pay only 2% commissions. For people fearing that other agents may not show your home due to them not getting a bigger commission, I would not worry. Legally they are obliged to show your home if a client inquiries about it. As well, people looking to buy a home now a days are computer savvy, and will look online on their own time, so aren't dependent on their agent. My agent was Steve Kehoe and I got nothing but awesome service. I also got the $200 referral fee when my buddy sold his house through him. If I was selling again, they would be my first choice once more. Any less commission, you can go Comfree, but to me that's more of a hassle trying to sell it yourself.

In May 2024 my family and I found ourselves scrambling for a new home to rent. We did not realize…read morethat today's market is quite different than it was even just two years ago. It's crazy out there! After booking and viewing a property at the edge of SW Edmonton through Casawise we decided to keep looking. About three searches later, I found another property managed by Casawise that I was interested in. On the website it stated that it was waitlisted. According to the term, I presumed that we would be put on a waitlist until others may not be interested in this particular property, and I moved on with my search. Strangely, I received a phone call from a gentleman by the name Ashwani Sharma (Ash). I perceived it to be strange because I wasn't expecting to be called without having requested to be contacted. But, somehow the company must have an algorithm tracking activity. Ash introduced himself and proceeded to discuss the property that was "waitlisted," asking if I was still interested in it. I said I was, but I did not think it was available due to it being "waitlisted." He explained that due to tenants occupying the property, that there would have to be a scheduled viewing. Of course, not to waste anyone's time, Ash engaged me and another family member in conversation about what we are interested in renting, our previous history as tenants, etc. It was very friendly and professional. Within 20 minutes of dialogue we booked a viewing within the next two days. Upon meeting Ash and his colleague in training, my family felt comfortable as we did the walk-through. We asked a lot of questions which he had answers to. He was extremely personable. Upon deciding to pursue an application for tenancy, Ash guided us through the process very smoothly. However, the approval process was arduous. In this instance, the house is privately owned; and, the owner is a very busy person. A response that typically takes about 2-4 days, took a little longer. And, being that the end of the lease agreement between our previous "landlord" and ourselves was approaching the end, we were very anxious to receive a response-any response. Ash handled himself quite calmly. He shared with us the owners circumstance and kept us informed that his team is working diligently to maintain contact with the owner, and that as soon as there is word that we will be notified. It was close, and we did get the house we needed. Throughout the process Ash was great. Casawise came through. Thank-you!

They ask that you choose three timeslots, so I chose all three to occur on the morning of Tuesday, April 2nd. At 9:47 pm, on Tuesday, I still have not heard anything back. Bad business! I told them to lose my application.
