Dr.Hungerford has a gentle manner and he is kind to his patients. He is more knowledgeable then my previous doctors and was able to help me balance my medication so I can manage my health. Listen by the time you need an endocrinologist your body is suffering and your spirit is crushed. There isn't a cure for hypothyroidism but medication and diet can help you. Many people get angry at a permanent auto immune disease and might reflect that anger in their reviews but I have seen what a bad endocrinologist is like and Dr.Hungerford is the best I have ever met. Also if you have read this far be kind to yourself this is a long journey.

I understand what it's is like to be a patient, a sales rep in the industry and observing medical staff directly. My decision to choose Dr Chris Murphy as my primary care doc came because of professional reviews that were given to me and over the last two years I have been a patient and fully satisfied. The office staff is friendly and professional, my time with Dr. Murphy never seems rushed and they follow up as needed with appointments and labs. I have also found that Dr Murphy listens and asks intelligent relevant questions.

The radiologist said there was nothing there and they could find no reason for any pain. And they refused to review it a second time. So I (and the tech) are imagining the lump and my pain is all in my head. I will never use this organization again and neither should you. Also, to get copies to take to a competent radiologist costs $20, takes several weeks, and I have to go in to request it in person and to fill out the many forms required. Wow.

When I received the referral I contacted Dr. Lindens office and spoke to someone on the phone, she was very helpful and told me that the doctor was on vacation till September and if I wanted to see the doctor it would not be till then. She also said that I would need to fill out the paperwork and get a copy of my new insurance card. I told her that there was no need to mail the paperwork as I could stop by on my next visit to Ashland. So on Friday, July 20th around 12:40 I stop in the office and was met by the receptionist who since then I found out was named Lisa. I told Lisa that I was referred to the doctor by my doctor and that I was there to fill the paperwork out and give a copy of my insurance card. She was very rude in her response by telling me that the doctor was not taking on new patients, I again told her that I was referred to him by my doctor and I was only doing what I was told by her office. She then implied that I was lying by saying she does not know of anyone in the office that would say such a thing and she would never tell me that he was taking on new patients. "It was not her normal spiel" she said. The whole time she is telling me that the doctor is not taking on new patients sitting right beside her at the receptionist desk is a card with his bio that clearly states that Dr. Linden is taking on new patients. I found my visit at this office to be very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I work in healthcare and my assistant and receptionist know of the high standards that are set for them when it comes to professionalism and patient care, and if anyone of them treated one of my patients the way Lisa treated me they would be looking for a new job. Sadly I can't tell you how great this doctor is because I do not know from experience but what I can say is his receptionist is down right awful, rude, and unprofessional. I would not want anyone to have to experience this first hand. This women was very clear in her actions that she did not want me there and that I was a bother.

I sincerely hope Providence doesn't screw up what is a GREAT,reliable place to go. Urgent care has already cut the hours and days (weekends now closed). Providence, complains of using the ER, for the wrong reasons, yet stop urgent care cares hours and days. Please partners and Providence, or powers that B, bring back the UREGENT CARE, don't destroy such a great place. I know for a fact, that Providence reads Yelp and reads my review, and let us know what we ( patients ) can expect.
