Premium line up for club seat holders!!
Michelle F.

Best arena in North America. New and shiny. It's sound system can't be beat. I'd highly recommend sportsnet club for any oilers seats. With a buffet and access to washrooms limited to just 400 people. It never has a lineup. That in itself is worth the extra price! The seats are also by loge and offers the best views in the arena with some hard-core fans. Don't get drink row seats for oilers game. If anyone stands up. Good luck seeing anything. It's basically an obstructed view. For concerts. Get floor seats up to row 24 and u can wiggle your way to the stage for better standing seats than front row or any pit seats. I prefer parking in the ice district lot for safety. But for easy quick access out. The lot outside in the back has pretty convenient spots which let you out within minutes for an easy escape. Secrets out. Enjoy.

I LOVE Rogers Place! Even the nosebleed seats aren't that bad! The seats are inclined in such a way that the people in front of you don't obstruct your view. It's great when you don't have to keep shifting in your chair to see whatever you're trying to watch. Entering and exiting the building is pretty straightforward. They have stairs, escalators and elevators. Just remember you will need to get through security when you come in for events. The different seating sections are labelled clearly. There are plenty of staff available to assist you. Food concession stands are everywhere. Washrooms are relatively easy to find. I appreciate that this venue is located in downtown Edmonton. I know that some people have differing opinions about this but I personally like the energy and vibe this venue brings to our city. It's a cool looking building from the outside and inside. A variety of different events are held here, from sporting events to concerts. It's probably best known as the home arena of the Edmonton Oilers! This amazing venue brings our community together. It's a place where we can make and share lots of wonderful memories!

One of the best arena for hockey, right up there with Las Vegas Knights T-Mobile arena! Great sight lines and a very shallow bowl design. This makes view angles great and comfortable! Basic concession options with predictable high prices. The arena is kept very clean and bathrooms were awesome.....gotta love monitors to track play while you wash your hands. Parking is plentiful in neighboring lots for $10 to $30 a game. Only a few good pre-game bar within walking distance.....Really like Home & Away pub!

Wow...this is a fancy place! This was my 20th NHL arena and it's the newest one I have visited (still have to get to Las Vegas). Boy, is it fancy! I am not kidding this place is like a palace or a cathedral inside! Getting in reminded me a little of the TD Garden in Boston because there were a lot of escalators but then there was this big inside plaza where security was. It was very efficient getting in. The concourses are wide and there are a lot of food and beverage options. Obviously, Edmonton is a hockey town so the fans are very knowledgeable and I had some nice conversations with the people around me. There are lots of food and drinks options so getting whiskey was not a problem. Restrooms are plentiful and lines seem to move fast. Downtown arenas are the best because it's nice to be able to walk from your hotel to dinner, to the game and back without having to deal with parking or traffic or anything. This is a beautiful facility.

Wow this building is really nice. It so modern and high tech. Only thing is have to find a chance to watch a game or concert here. I just walked in to check out the place. Very nice venue in downtown. I will update my review once I get a chance to watch a game or concert inside.

I like Rogers Place, it looks great and is a fantastic addition to downtown Edmonton. We always point it out to visitors to the city and stop to take a look (or selfie) at the statue of Wayne Gretzky. I've been for large concerts including when Rod Steward was in town. They can hold a huge amount of people and I've never had a bad view. The bar is pricy but we all know that so I felt prepared for that. What I wasn't prepared for during an Oilers game was the amazing hot dog stand. I wish I could remember what it was called but the toppings were upscale. It made a nice change to the very basic snacks you used to get at games. It's an arena sure, but it's also a sign of the city and how it's changing and developing. I'm excited for the whole Ice District to be completed in the next few years.

A few things...it caters to some but doesn't cater to all...my summery of Roger's Place. I have been here a number of times...two concerts...and two hockey games.....here is my thoughts If you are an able bodied person with a lot of money you will love this place! Trendy, and high end this is the place to look your best and be seen. High end dining, casino, and concert hall are all at your fingertips. So what if you pay $12 bucks for a cheapo beer that tastes like it has been sitting out overnight and a $8.50 for a thin hamburger...that is not what you are there for. And, truth be told, I really love Atlas the one time I was there, and I have heard many good things from the other dining places in the arena. However if you happen to have no money and are taking your kids to a hockey game (one being disabled) good luck to you! No disabled parking....no help getting your disabled kid to her sit, and no where to store your adapted stroller. Great! This sounds like quality family time! We could try to manage our seats to wherever they are and then take our stroller back to the coat check and then manage your kid back down the escalator (good luck finding the $@$!&*^ elevator) . And hope to God (or whoever you believe in) that your kiddo does not need a bathroom because you need a treasure map for that! Why in the world would the city pay all this money for this area and not put in enough bathrooms. All in all I will go there if I am given tickets for an event at a great discount, or if I don't have my disabled kid in tow and I really love who is performing then I will consider it....otherwise I will save my money to see the performer somewhere else...anywhere else...than Roger's Place

Gorgeous views of the city from huge floor to ceiling Windows!

Wow! Came here tonight for the first show - Keith Urban. The sound was phenomenal - truly! The building itself is beautiful and grand but a few things surprised me: The elevators and bathrooms had garbage and schmuck on the ground. The restaurants/food options were really lacking and overpriced. $14 for concert nachos in a bowl? Really!?! Beer was $10+ And I never found a Starbucks or coffee joint. I wish they had options like the Jugo Juice stand at the Saddledome in Calgary. The bars on the main concourse are cute but the food/grills are across from them with lines on both side so you have to say excuse me, excuse me, excuse me as you cut through more than a hundred people in line just to get through the concourse. The view from 218 where we sat was blocked by railings, speakers, etc. 218 here is like 300 at Rexall (think nosebleeds). The lower bowl (100s) is huge and I'm stoked to sit there tomorrow night for Dolly Parton. There is a PCL Loge lounge level with swanky seating and tables that you can purchase as season tix or if a season ticket holder decides not to buy their table for any given concert. The staff were friendly and ample tonight. Merch was available for purchase outside security, main concourse, and on the top level (200's) - pretty cool and no lines upstairs. 2 thumbs way up for having water fountains! I'm definitely looking forward to coming here again but glad we had dinner beforehand!

LITTLE BIG TOWN Section 118, Row 7

I've had pretty decent experiences at Roger's Place. Been there for concerts, hockey and talks (Michelle Obama). Every seat I've sat in has had clear lines to whatever I'm watching. The sound is good. Food costs what you would expect... alchohol. Comparable to other stadiums. Accessibility hasn't been an issue or parking. The only downfall is the entrance/exit... poorly planned. A pain to get out of.

Being that this was a sold out Grey Cup game, there were a LOT more fans in attendance than usual. The biggest negative we encountered was the lack of staff directing traffic at the ends of the stadium. We ended up being stuck in the middle of a barely moving crowd for so long that we missed some of the opening ceremony. It was very dangerous and scary to be trapped in the middle of that, especially when security and the police came running through to attend to a situation. This was poor planning on the part of the stadium and luckily ended up being uneventful for us. The upside from what I saw, was that the concessions, 50/50 sellers and beer hawkers seemed to be reasonably efficient. The halftime show was absolutely amazing, the fly-overs awe inspiring and the game was pretty good too. All things considered, we had a great time. It's just a shame the Red Blacks didn't win...

I haven't actually been to a game here This review is specifically for the special privileged use for the stadium (specifically the stairs)! Thank you to November Project for scoring another great summer at the stadium stairs! (see NP's twitter for details ) If you thought the Royal Glenora and Wolf Willow stairs were hard, think again! Commonwealth Stadium has rows upon rows of extra steps of all varieties, from the lower bowl's shallow wide steps to deeper shorter steps, to the upper bowl's almost-scary even steeper staircases! (Like you're hiking down an Aztec ruin haha) But wait, there's more! You only get 30-45 minutes to get er' done! (Or to challenge those once a month 96'er specials - do the WHOLE stadium in ONE hour!!! Bahahaha!) Feeling the burn yet?

Foote Field - Impact Arts!

Can you believe this was my first time at Foote Field? It wasn't even for a U of A game, either!…read more My second FC game, and my first time at Foote. TIckets were cheaper here than at Commonwealth, and it's because the venue isn't as nice. But it gets the job done - lots of seating, a big open grass space, plus they were selling pop and drinks, and hot dogs. Unfortunately, the wind-pocalypse hit in the first half and we booked it out of there before it got any worse. Because it's such an open venue, and it's raised up from the ground, you really feel the wind or sunshine or whatever weather you happen to be receiving at the moment. But the game was fun, the drinks kept us warm(ish), the crowd was enthusiastic, and Foote Field did its job.

My experience with Foote Field is based solely on attendance at FC Edmonton games…read more I guess this is a multi-purpose field for U of A students, and is definitely not soccer specific. This could be confusing as there are white, red, and blue lines on the field of play. There are two sections of seating; reserved on the west side and general admission on the east. Reserved is just regular seats and the GA side is raised up high school style bleachers. Trust me when I say the reserved side is much more comfortable, especially when there is adverse weather, like wind, or even when it's very sunny. There are actual bathrooms and concession counters on the west side, whereas on the east side there are four porta-potties and a Fat Franks stand (which is sweet), and dudes selling beer essentially out of an ice bucket. The GA side is also kind of up a hill a little bit, so while it doesn't seem like it when you're sitting there, you're a bit of a distance from the field compared to being on the other side. The field has your regular electronic scoreboard, but no huge TV for replays. I still find myself looking up for one, even though I know it's not there! You pick up your pre-bought tickets at the will call counter, or you can get tickets the day of. The box office isn't open on a regular basis as I understand it. There is tons of parking available and the LRT stops right beside the field. I suppose it will do for now, but Edmonton really needs a soccer specific stadium.

Garish and giant as it is, it's a landmark, which is a good thing on a big campus, so many people have a love-hate relationship to it. It's right next to the sports hub of the university and it is used for big events, like concerts, sports meets, craft sales and also had an indoor climbing gym which is open to the public as well. I've been there on more than one occasion and it's a great place for a concert or just to use as a landmark when giving directions. Hard to miss a big block of butter...

I've been here for at least one concert and it was a neat venue for this party! I've also really enjoyed watching/participating in sports activities here -- which is really the reason that the building exists, it having been constructed for the 1983 Universiade if I remember correctly. This is an essential facility for a University of this size. It's perhaps not as big as a bigger ballpark but it is certainly very useable and useful. Having sat in box seats as well as in the regular stands I can appreciate both. The field is parking and transit accessible. I like to just walk down to it from downtown as it's a nice walk. While I'm not a huge fan of baseball, I will admit that one's enjoyment of a game here really has more to do with who one is with than the game itself for the most part.
