Parking was nice, I saw a sheriff come through and check on stuff via jet ski which was nice, it didnt seem too crowded and it's right by the Upper Deck which is crazy good and convenient. You can swim (or wade) right across. read more

Rogers park is the best way to launch and see Weekie Wachee. You have to get here early if you want a parking spot or rent a kayak at the shop next door and they will guarantee you parking. The river is crowded for the first 2 miles but after that, it's all wilderness and you'll probably have the river to yourself. It feels like you're in another world. Beware - no alcohol is allowed on the river, so busy out your yeti cup if you're planning on drinking. read more

We parked here, for free, to launch our kayaks for a paddle to Weekie Wachee. Mid-week, arrived around 11am, no problem with finding a space. There is a nice sized "beach" at the edge, a perfect place to cool off on a hot day, and because of shallow depth, I'd say extra perfect if you have little ones that just want to splash around a bit. When we launched, the water was clear. By the time we got back 5 hours later, the tide had turned, and the water was not clear. A mama manatee and two little ones were spotted very close to the beach, but because of the murky water, there was a lot of "wait, where is it?" As far as the paddle upstream to Weekie, there were plenty of other paddlers, but not crazy busy. Our plan was to paddle up and float back. Joke's on us, the tide was turning and we ended up having to paddle back, too. Still great. read more

Early bird gets a parking spot. $10 for the whole day and you can launch your own paddle boards or kayaks. Water is a crisp 72 degrees and crystal clear. The river is beautiful and serene. Lots of wild life and a few manatees sightings is almost always to happen. Don't have kayak or floatation devices? No problem. There is a perfect place to just hang in the river and enjoy the passerby's. Roger's park has restrooms, playground and 2 launch areas for small motor boats, sups and kayaks. River spans several miles and leads to weekie wachee state park. Great affordable visit and lots to see and enjoy. read more

Beautiful park! Super packed. The kayaks and paddle boards were bumper to bumper. Beautiful views. For Rogers Park swim area - tried to go twice on Sat - once in the am around 9am and again after the afternoon showers. NO PARKING :( So tried to park down the road a few miles and Uber up to the park. No bueno. The Uber was about $25 per ride (so $50 for the day) and the wait was over 25 mins for a vehicle bec I guess not much activity in the area. Opted out. The swim area has volleyball area which is awesome! read more

Pleasant and busy especially on weekends but during the week it's nice and laid back . Launched the kayaks with ease and paddled around for a couple hours . Loading was remarkable easy . Went into beach area ate lunch and headed home . Nice day , clean beach and nice people read more

The last time we went it wasn't amazing as they were dredging the water. so I only gave it a four-star, but every other time we went, it was fantastic. We always get to see the manatees that like to swim up the river and its fun to people watch. read more

I couldn't figure out where to pay to park, nice little beach with spring swimming area close to restaurant also has a kayak launch and nice bathroom facilities. Picnic tables available as well, says no dogs but I saw a few :) read more

Limited parking but it has a beach and a playground. You can launch small boats and kayaks. Open 24/7 or so says the Internet. This place is great if you want to go see the wildlife before weekiwachee opens and the masses arive. read more

Closed June 2022 to October. Check county website etc. they're dredging and you cannot park, access the playground, or launch boats including kayaks. Very little notice was given. An alternative access point for private kayak owners should be established to access the springs. Technically you can get there from baypoint and Jenkins, but it's a much longer paddle, and we couldn't do that with young kids. read more

Lets get this clear, pets are allowed on the river, should you rent from a property or own somewhere with access to weeki wachee river. Pets are NOT allowed in Rogers park as there are clear signs stating such. They are not allowed at weeki wachee state park. As far as hernando county goes dogs/pets are not allowed in any park. Plan accordingly. Our wknd was not what we planned for because bring Fido clearly stated pets allowed at Rogers park and in fact that is so very wrong. You can get your pet to your vessel, be it kayak canoe or boat but they can not be in the picnic area. Someone tell me differently! read more

A great place to launch kayaks from but the people there are so rude! I've been there 3 times and each time the service gets worse. I'll just kayak from the state park from now on, it's better anyways, you don't have to go past houses and interfere with the rude neighbors who get mad if you kayak too close to their property. read more

We went kayaking out of Rogers park for the first time this past weekend and it was amazing! Some of the clearest water I have seen in Florida, beautiful nature surrounding the path (including manatees in the springs), and a nice relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend this launch spot. We had a blast! read more

Nice place to put in to see the crystal clear waters to the springs. We had jets skis and got some unhappy looks from paddle boarders and kayakers. Jet skis and boats are allowed and it's a beautiful peaceful experience. There are bathrooms and a beach for swimming but didn't use. read more

This is the best spot to put your kayak in, paddle up to the springs, and float back down. The Weeki Wachee (sp???) is a beautiful river, the clearest water and sandiest bottom I've seen, so it's a fun trip for kids or friends/family that are not interested in paddling a river with dark lurky type waters. I actually have yet to see a gator on this river which is pretty darn rare for Florida - much more common to see a Manatee. Last time we paddled there a family of kayaks passed us when we had stopped to swim and they had a manatee tailing their boats, they said he'd been following them for a while - what fun! This park is easy in easy out, has a good swimming area for cooling off after you get the boats loaded back up, and has a good little fish shack/bar with some post-paddle greasy food just across the river. It gets busy and fills up so get there early to make sure you can get in and park. read more

Nice clean park! Water was clear, a little chilly but felt refreshing. No beach, could use a second ramp,several people would hang out right where the ramp meets the water so you were constantly having to navigate past them. There are signs saying no jumping from the sea wall but there were probably5-6 teens/young adults that were jumping. A manatee did swim thru the swimming area but we weren't able to see it from where we were. There is also a boat ramp, nice restrooms, covered sitting & standing tables. There was also a food truck that had empanadas,Cubans, hot dogs, fries, etc. prices aren't too bad, hot dogs are $2. A perfect place to go swimming, there is sand to play in but it doesn't go up to the water, there is a sea wall that separates the water & sand. The water temp is a consistent 72-73 degrees. read more

Great place to park and kayak upstream. Some days we wish there was more parking available as it fills up quickly. They do have bathrooms available which is awesome! They do need some changing rooms as the bathroom stalls are anything but big; there is very little space between toilet and door. The water here is so clear with sandy bottoms. And at the right time of year you can see manatees. Over the weekend we saw 2 manatees within a half a mile from Rogers Park. read more

My wife and I love this place. Beautiful. But I must say that this weekend was not so nice. There were adults drinking alcohol(on the beach and in the water) and kids and adults, about 15 in all, jumping off the sea wall where boats and kayaks pass. They were ignoring all signs stated that neither were allowed. Any other weekday or weekend it has been a 4/5 star experience, but this weekend was not one. I don't know what can be done to prevent this, since it's on the honor system, but something needs to be done. read more

Fresh water beach next to the river, next to a tavern overlooking the swimming area. Tons of kayakers and boaters passing by. Though there are a lot of small fast black ants on the beach which get all over your stuff but they seem harmless. Has an ok restroom area. And it's $5 to park before 5p and $2 after. Seem pretty clean and no annoying bugs besides the ants. read more

When trying to put boat in and out of boat ramp on two occasions we have not been able to use metal dock with boat cleates because people are all over dock with lawn chairs fishing and crab traps tied to dock and fish buckets etc. all over the dock.. It is difficult trying to put boat in with not being able to tie up for at least few minutes. Why not put sign saying no fishing and crabbing -temporary boat launching. I believe that is why I pay $5.oo. read more
