Picked the tires which the site said were in-stock. Got multiple text messages in the days leading up to my appointment confirming and reminding me of my appointment. On the day of the appointment I walked in and was immediately told they were two hours behind. Um what now? You just opened how is that possible. I was told they had multiple walk-ins that were taking priority. I've never worked in or been a customer of a shop that prioritized walk-ins over appointments. When I worked at the dealership, it was always figure out where to squeeze walk-ins around the appointments. No one from the shop had bothered to contact me in any way to let me know of the delay in advance. But here we are. They offered to reschedule me for a different day, but I thought, nah the tires are here, I'm here, let's just get it done. So sat in the waiting area (with all the flies and other bugs floating around), rescheduling my other appointments for the day. After 70 minutes of sitting there, and oddly enough shortly after a delivery truck stopped in with a delivery of tires, I was approached by the service writer and told my tires were not in stock (translation: We didn't actually have them in stock but expected them to come in our 10 o'clock delivery, but they didn't). At that point I declined to reschedule, just asked for my keys and left. This is clearly a bigger problem than this shop and points to a massive issue with how Mavis runs their business. Clearly from my experience and conversations I heard the service writers having with other customers, there is no integration between the corporate website and the store. The poor folks at this shop are put in a terrible situation by the corporate business model. All I can say is I would never consider going to this or any other Mavis location again.

When I moved to Hartford, I expected the same situation as it's a widespread issue. However, I have nothing but kudos to give to D and D. They've always given me a fair price for the work on my vehicle. They always do what is asked and never more. Words cannot express how much I appreciate that I can get what I needed taken care of, and no one tries to upsell me when I pick it up. Too many times is a new issue presented when one just got fixed, but I've never had that problem at D and D. Even the owner had reached out to ensure my service was satisfactory. If my vehicle weren't a diesel, I'd say I'd never go anywhere else. But for all non-diesel related issues, I'll always go to D and D.
