My wife made an appointment for me, I thought it was for a different day. My wife's card was charged a $75 fee for my no show since you have to leave a credit card number to even make the appointment. I called to dispute the charge, as it is not fair to her. I asked if I could start a payment plan before knowing they had already charged her card for the full amount. They refused to refund her. I asked if we could start over and I would make the appointment. They said I could but the charge still applies. She is now in contact with her bank. My suggestion to Rody is to have a little more understanding. They made me feel like that $75 dollars was more important than helping my chiropractic needs. I did not like the office tone or their dismissive attitude towards my situation. At the very least let me take the burden and refund her card. My wife did a very sweet thing by making the appointment, a simple refund and reschedule by the office staff could of made a bond for everyone. Was introduced to this practice when I moved to the area back in 2009. My family had been receiving chiropractic care for years before that, but this was our first experience with atlas orthogonal treatment. There's a HUGE difference - if you're not familiar, I strongly recommend you Google it to get the details. Rody also offer massages therapy on-site, which enables us to see the LMT (covered by my insurance - thank goodness!) just before the chiropractor; since you're more relaxed, the doc's adjustments are more effective. BTW, their adjustments aren't limited to the spine. If you're suffering from knee, wrist, etc. pain, be sure to let them know as they CAN HELP - communication is key! Their office staff, in my experience, has been helpful in working with us to address insurance billing issues. They are also polite and friendly. read more

I want to give Dr Sam all stars!!! He is amazing!!! I came in today though and apparently a staff member had a visitor which included a toddler and a dog. You couldn't hear anything with all the noise and screaming and I couldn't even focus on filling out my paperwork. I hope I don't run into this again. These guys are a class act! From start to finish. You know how even in a place where most people are friendly, there is always someone with an angry standing face. Not here! EVERYONE....the front desk, provider, X-ray person, everyone, was friendly, kind, warm, caring and compassionate! I just had my 3rd appointment. This is not your typical chiropractor where they pop your back/neck to adjust. It is a completely different theory where they use an instrument that mildly thumps your skin, so in basic thinking it vibrates below the area of the spine where they want to manipulate/adjust. I was overtly skeptical at my first appointment. I believe things are changing and will update again after my next. Very different from what I'm a custom to so trying to keep an open mind. I really like this clinic. The only downside is they are rarely on schedule. Which is a bit frustrating at times when you have a scheduled appointment and you are doing your best to fit it into a work schedule. Hopefully they can come up with something to improve this soon! If you don't have a problem with your doctor not listening to you and only spending maybe a minute with you or feeling like a faceless money source, by all means go here! I absolutely LOVE the massage therapist I see there but I would honestly prefer to not see Dr Gordon at all. He comes in the room with a generic greeting and manipulates whatever area he feels is necessary, does not listen to your concerns, only tells you that in time things will feel better but he has to get you back to good before he can address any one specific area then sends you on your way with little to no care as to how you are feeling. I HATE that when I go in for massage and chiro the same day I have to pay 2 co-pays. It's absolutely ridiculous! You can't tell me that a business like his that sees probably 40-50 patients an hour has a need to charge that much per person. I started seeing him with hopes of helping my migraines and instead of relief they have only gotten worse. When I attempted to explain that to him, it went in one ear and out the other as if he didn't care one bit. Extremely RUDE! If it wasn't for the fact that my insurance requires chiro in order to cover massage therapy, I definitely would not go back. I want to see a doctor who will listen to my concerns and give me some advice on how to help instead of being ushered in and out as if it were a race. I will be seeking out a new therapist unfortunately, so I don't have to continue my business with him. read more

If you've never heard of Atlas Orthogonal chiro, you need to check it out. This isn't your standard "crack and come back" practice. They want you to be fixed and only come back when you need it. They take great care to show you where your spine is at and explain treatment. The staff is great, every doctor is great, billing is easy - even if you don't have insurance. Give them a try. While the Chiropractors here are extremely talented and skilled, (and Atlas Orthogonal is amazing), and the front desk staff is friendly and stellar, and the office is warm and inviting, you will be a number here. It is the fast food of chiropactors. You will need to get your Happy Meal/Adjustment, and get out. You will have to get down on your knees during an appointment and beg for an extra few seconds to talk, ask questions, get advice or help beyond your basic adjustment. I phoned a courtesy call to the front desk and letting her know that I was running a little late. She did not tell me not to come. That's being said, I honesty did not know they had strict policy about being late past 15 minutes for my massage therapist and she refuses her service to me. I was 17 minutes late; 2 minutes pass the cut off. No one wants to be late. No one like being late. I was her last appointment of the day. I work in Kent and sometimes it takes more than 1 hr driving to Puyallup due fwy 167 traffic under construction. Other times, I usually arrived plenty of time for my appointments. Our whole family received chiropractic care at Rody Chiropractic. This has been a real blessing for us. I can honestly say that keeping our family's neck and back properly aligned has kept us all very healthy with properly functioning immune systems. For Christmas I asked my family to get me massage gift certificates at Rody's. Rody's front counter staff sold them at both $50 and $60 for an hour-long massage, that was the first sign of a problem but I was grateful for the gifts my family had given me. The first time I used a $50 certificate I received a past due notice in the mail, a month later, for $10 despite having a credit on my account. You would think if more money were due they would A) Tell me when I gave them the certificate, B) simply deduct it from the existing credit on my account. This is when I learned that the massages would all be $60 despite what they told my family. The sloppy accounting was a red flag, but I still had certificates left. When I went to use the last certificate the massage therapist called in "sick" after the scheduled appointment time of 2pm, the day after Christmas. It became apparent that the office staff knew she was thinking about calling in sick but never verified. I had taken the day off work and planned the entire day around this appointment. Rody's solution: reschedule or take a refund. I opted for the refund. Many phone calls and unreturned messages later they only refunded half of what I am owed. I now have to take them to small claims court to resolve what should be a simple and painless matter. While the chiropractors and massage therapist I've seen at Rody's have all been great the office staff is incompetent at best. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

I was a long time patient here along with my family. There is little continuity with the staff. They are not efficient with their sytems and their staff is often not able to help with simple things like printing out receipts for me to submit to my health savings account. Staff turnover is also a problem. Wait time for appoinments can border on the rediculous and there is never acknowledgement of this. When I made an appointment for my son to have his first xrays I was told I would need to provide my credit card so they could charge if we did not show up. We have been patients for so many years, we have always shown up for our appointments. We have seen massage therapists and the chiropractors and we have had to wait for them. It made me upset to be treated in this way. For all these little reasons I decided to no longer be a patient at this office. And they will never know because they are like a machine, stacking patients up with very little personal care. read more
