This post is way overdue. I started seeing Dr. "George" for chronic low back pain about a year ago. I must mention that I have personally gone to just about every back doctor in the Seattle area, the Eastside area as well as in the Tacoma area, with no long term pain relief for my back condition. I have undergone multiple treatments including daily oral pain medications, back injections, physical therapy, massage therapy, accupuncture, pain management treatment centers, etc., etc., etc! On my initial visit Dr. George thoroughly explained to me what he thought my condition might be and how he felt he could help me. (My back condition has been very complicated and puzzling to all of my past physicians). For the first time in a very long time I felt that I was given some hope by Dr. George!! The first few visits Dr. George performed a myofacial manipulation technique. Dr. George shared with me that he studied this treatment with a specialist in Italy. (myofacial release is a manipulative treatment that attempts to release tension in the fascia due to trauma, posture, or inflammation). (Fascia: the web of connective tissue that spreads throughout the body and surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve blood vessel, and organ to the cellular level)I'm sure I'm not giving this treatment the exact correct "medical" title, but Dr. George can explain his technique in much better detail. Without even touching the area of pain in my low back, I left his office that day with a sufficient amount of reduced back pain! I was so excited! It has been at least 10 years since, my back had felt less pain. Dr. George is very knowledgeable, caring, personable and a good listener. He cares deeply for his patients. Dr. George listens and hears your concerns. Dr. George does offer sound, medical advice on every visit. He evens offers specific reading material and educational web sites. On one particular visit I remember Dr. George had a good listening ear. When I came in for an appointment one day, he could tell something was not right with me emotionally. I shared with Dr. George that my dog of 13 years had just passed away. Dr. George shared with me a story about a dog he was very close to that had also passed away and how he handled it. I left that day with more than just an adjustment to my back. I left with "grains of gold", life advice. Dr. George had helped me to view life in a more positive way and to count every hardship in life as a "blessing". Again, Dr. George cares deeply about all people and he really does go out of his way to make a difference to those around him that are suffering. I appreciate Dr. George very much. Words can not express how much Dr. George has helped me in my life, physically as well as mentally. I continue to see Dr. George on an as needed basis only. My back pain is substantially reduced and I am able to do my favorite hobby again, which is gardening! Dr. George was put on this earth to help people and that is exactly what he does the best! So, go see Dr. George!!!! What have you got to loose, but some "pain"? You will certainly come away from your visit with Dr. George feeling better and uplifted. Thanks Dr. George for all you do! I have been going to Proctor Chiropractic for over 2 years and cannot say enough good things about it. 10 years ago I injured my back. During that time I have seen numerous doctors, chiropractors, college sports trainers, physical therapists, and surgeons and I can honestly say that none of them have helped me as much as Dr. George. He is a phenomenal chiropractor who not only gives great adjustments, but incorporates other techniques and therapies as well. He is incredibly knowledgeable in his field and always seems to be up to date on the latest advances in chiropractic care. He listens, educates, and takes time each visit to address any concerns or questions I might have. Every time I go I either come away learning something new or am taught a new exercise so I can take better charge of my own health. Although I was previously told that my injury would continue to get worse over time, I feel that the overall health of my back has increased since seeing Dr. Geroge and I believe that says a lot about the care he provides. Furthermore, the office staff is great and seem to genuinely care about the health of those who come in. Over the past several months I have not been able to go as much as I would like because I have two young chlildren and my husband works long hours. I mentioned one time how I was hesitant to bring them in and one of the assistants, Amanda, encouraged me to do so and even offered to help keep an eye on them if need be. Finally, recently I threw out my back two days before I was planning to fly cross country with my two boys by myself. It was a Saturday morning and I needed to leave town before office hours on Monday. I called Dr. George and within the hour he was able to come and meet me at the clinic. I felt horrible for calling on a Saturday, but he was more than kind and more than happy to help. I came barely able to walk and stand up straight, and left functioning much better and confident I would be okay to still travel. It is obvious that Dr. George's passion truly is to help people and do all he can to make that happen. I see both Dr George and Jorge at Proctor Chiropractic and couldn't be happier! I'm not a fan of the crack your neck & keep coming back kind of chiropractors and Dr George is far from that. His adjustments are small and mighty. He spends more time talking to me to figure out how to truly fix my chronic headaches then he does adjusting me. When he does do his adjustments they aren't loud, scary & painful. They are perfectly pinpointed at the spot my body needs adjusted, they are quick and absolutely the most helpful! I appreciate that he teaches me what and why he's doing something and even teaches me PT moves to do at home. Dr George is very kind, doesn't make my appointment feel rushed and doesn't want to see me all the time. He took the time to get to know me, my pain and my goal and has worked a plan with me that doesn't require me being there 3 times a week. I couldn't be happier with Dr George and highly recommend you give him a try. I see Jorge for deep tissue massage. I've gone to a lot of massage therapists over the years and he is by far one of the best. I've never had a massage therapist work the area that I feel the pain and then follow that pain (the muscle) to the source. The source is almost always more painful then the spot I had the pain but I had no idea until he worked it. He is able to get in and free that muscle that was the source of my pain which ends up relieving my original pain! He is very kind, cares about the care I receive and my long term wellbeing. He gives me stretches to help at home and is truly helping me heal. Jorge is a wonderful massage therapist and I highly recommend you give him a try. Everyone at Proctor Chiropractic is great! They're all so welcoming I feel like I've been going there for years and it's only been a month & a half. I went into Proctor chiropractic with an already soured view of chiropractic care from a previous bad experience. From the minute I stepped in the door I was greeted respectfully and in a timely manner, any patient care from both Dr. George and Dr. Chinn has always been above and beyond my experiences from before. Dr. George's obvious commitment to his craft and to his bedside manner is beyond reproach. From the regrettably few experiences I have had, Dr. Chinn's thoroughness and knowledge made it too easy to recommend his care to my wife who has had tension headaches for years up until seeking his services. All three massage therapists there have helped me greatly to recover from my car accident nearly 7 months ago but the care I received from Jay Wence has made my recovery the fastest I believe it could of been. Jay has always been able to take the mess I have made of my back over the course of the week and really listen to the issues I am experiencing and pinpointing the cause and very effectively alleviate much of my pain and stiffness I am experiencing and is able to very clearly explain what is happening and what he is doing to remedy it. He is very easily the best massage therapist I have had the pleasure of seeing. I can honestly say that I have not once left Proctor Chiropractic and not felt like I was taking a good step forward in my recovery. I wanted to write and say that I originally chose this Chiropractic Office based on the reviews. I had hurt my back helping my daughter move . So after nursing it myself and then going to a Orthopedic Place (Absolute No Help) I decided on this place. I saw Dr. Chinn. I was pretty much in tears by the time I got there. so I did x-rays and went on to being treated 3 x times a week for about 3 to 4 weeks. I started feeling better by the end of the first week. I also had been taking for about 5 years migraine meds and anxiety meds. I decided I was done with it all. I continued going for another 2.5 weeks at 3 times a week. and I have not had one migraine, not even a headache. It is Christmas time so it was hard for me to get there even two days a week an my co-pay is a little rough. But today I Jan 1, 2015 and I am back to working out, No running. but feel fantastic. I will continue to go to Dr. Chinn as I know it was him and the practice that has helped me become a whole person again. I have been off my medicine now since Nov 22nd, 2014 and tho it's only been a short time, I was having mini headaches every single day. with worse migraine as well as anxiety. I have been going here for almost 10 years. My whole immediate family see's Dr. George for chiropractic, my husband see's Madeline for massage and I see Jorge for massage therapy as well. Throughout my time with these providers, I have received the utmost care through two neck injuries and preventative services.  Dr. George has always been comprehensive, holistic, and educational in his treatment. And when needed, will collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure the best care possible. This may include wrap-around care with the massage therapists in the building, which I have always appreciated, or outside physicians.  The office staff are always warm and helpful in their interactions, especially regarding scheduling and billing. This past year my husband had a car accident and I had an injury, and they were very accommodating throughout the entire process. Dr. George really cares about his patients and their health. Having gone to chiropractors since I was a child for my scoliosis, I had met a lot of chiropractors and I knew he was special when I met him. His demeanor, "bedside manner" if you will, was so comforting. I knew I could trust him and was in good hands. After seeing every possible doctor known to man, western or natropathic, after spending thousands of dollars and with no answers as to why I have chronic foot pain, I was at a loss. I'd given up on life and feeling like I had a future without wheelchairs. Dr. George kept pressing in, kept asking questions, kept studying and learning and eventually He healed me! The Best Chiropractor in Washington! After a serious sports injury, and constantly being told "nothing was wrong with me" was given pain meds and told to take time off didn't settle well with me. It still amazes me to this day how many patients are told that "nothing is wrong with them" or "it's all in your head. For me, as an athlete, it is very important that my body performs at 100%. When I called Proctor Chiropractic Center I was told Dr. Darin has expertise with sports injuries so I made an appt. right away. He spent time with me, listened to me and answered all my questions. He educated and explained my injury to me in a straightforward and common sense manner so I clearly understood. I have been going to this practice for about a month or two now and am very happy with my experience so far. I have now seen both doctors and two of the massage therapists. I am new to chiropractic treatments, but not new to massage. The massage therapists are respectful, on time, and very skilled. I have seen Rebecca and Jay. They have very differing techniques, but are each very effective. Both doctors are upbeat and positive. The practice, in general, gives you an overall feeling that each person there wants you to achieve well-being and better health. In addition to his great "handy" work, Dr. "George" offers you many ways to improve your health overall. It's like getting a free life coach with your treatments if you're interested. They have proven very flexible with my work schedule, staying late to accomodate me when I needed to come in a bit later than the last scheduled appointment. Proctor Chiropractic has made HUGE difference in my life! When I first started as a patient I was skeptical of Chiropractors. Now, I'm a firm believer!! And Dr. George is the reason! I was tired all the time, had poor posture (which lead to headaches and backaches) and just didn't feel well at all. I've been seeing Dr. George for over a year now and things are remarkably different! My headaches are gone, my backaches are gone, and I feel 10 years younger! My 5 year old son at the time was having headaches, too! I've been getting massages by Theresa/Rebecca here for about a year. I also started seeing Dr. George 6 months ago. I love the heated massage table! Rebecca LMP has intuitive hands. I think she's one of the best massage therapists I've experienced. Theresa is also very good. She is very comfortable communicating and asking for feedback during the massage. She also does cupping, so it's like massage+. I'm not convinced cupping does anything though. You can hear the goings on from the rest of the office, but it's minimal. When I first met Dr. George, he was forthcoming, stated that he could help my shoulder pain, and what the course would look like. I did not feel pressured into the "life chiropractic plan". Proctor Chiropractic saved my back! I am a nurse and I work 12 hour shifts in the intensive care unit. I take care of patients who regularly suffer from chronic back pain, so when my back started hurting at 25 years old after only 5 years of nursing under my belt, I began to consider a job outside the hospital. I continued to work with aches and pains that constantly nagged at me, just assuming this was just going to be normal until it got so back I needed pain pills. I've been to Proctor Chiropractic a few times now and I've always had a good experience. I've been to several Chiropractors over the years (probably 8 or more) with varying levels of success for my type of back pains. typically I go in, get cracked, and before I leave they always want me to commit to coming back 2-3 times a week for several weeks to 'truly repair' my issues. I recognize this my be a great treatment plan for some but, my type of issues are usually taken care of with one good adjustment. i go in a couple times a year maybe when something is out of whack. I went in today in fact. I called yesterday, they got me in today, and I feel great. I'll be on a plane tomorrow and Doc even gave me some tips just in case my pain comes back while I'm out of town. I was involved in an auto accident in August of 2012, and Dr. Keogh was highly recommended to me by a friend. Dr. Keogh is by far one of the most caring and knowledgeable practitioners I have ever had the good fortune of meeting. I feel confident under his care that my body is receiving the best treatment possible. My busy schedule (I am a computer tech/consultant) sometimes pushes me to the limits of my availability, making it difficult at times to adhere to scheduled appointments. The front desk staff is always friendly and understanding, and will usually accommodate sudden shifts in my schedule. I met with doctor Luke and after a comprehensive review of my symptoms and mobility, he aligned my spine, and explained the reason for my back.
