There were headaches. There were muscle aches. There were injuries. There was inflexibility. I wasn't swan diving off of mountains into freezing water or rolling my sleeves up to wrestle bears or anything...but I boxed. I basketball'd. I punched. I jumped. And more often than not, I limped onto Jaclyn's table, cheesing because she always greeted me with, "What did you do now?" But she was nothing short of phenomenal in not only providing me with support and healing for my body, but teaching me how to self-promote said healing on my own. Jaclyn was a friend first before chiropractor to me, having held focus mitts for her at our boxing gym as she Mike Tyson'd her way through my hands. So while the rapport had already been established prior to me becoming a client of hers, her demeanor always remained the same: friendly, sweet, informative, and diligent in her craft. She is highly attentive to her patients' particular concerns while informing them of other things she notices with their bodies and functional movement, sometimes previously unbeknownst to said patients. Programs are personalized to cater to your needs and physical functionality. I, for one, went through my program starting with longstanding aches and pains, and came out feeling like I could conquer the world. Or at least a bear. If not for a change in work geography, I would still be visiting Jaclyn, sarcastically giggling about why I'm sauntering in to her office ever so slowly favoring one side of my body. Jaclyn is by far the best chiropractor I've ever seen. She's been supportive and informative at helping me through lower back pain. In just a few visits my pain subsided by a good 75% and she taught me new ways to do stretching and exercises. Her staff is friendly and educational. The office and stretching area are spotless and they play fun alt music. Jaclyn also works with your insurance plan to ensure you don't get dinged for unnecessary charges. Very helpful and professional. Also nice is the promptness of her service. If your appointment is at 10:30, she sees you at 10:30 every single time. There is never time waiting around. I've been seeing chiropractors for many years now and I can say Jaclyn is the most skilled and easy to work with I've been to. She utilizes a good mix of techniques and always adds a few "take home assignments" in the form of stretches to improve flexibility and overall health. I have been to several Chiropractors before I met Jaclyn and none of them have rehabilitated me the way she has. I have been in several car accidents and a bus accident that left me in a somewhat delicate state. I had been seeing a couple of Chiropractors for a year after these accidents and didn't see much improvement. I hurt my back pretty badly recently to the point that I was unable to perform work duties and was looking at a month or more of recovery. A friend recommended I go to Jaclyn at Burien Family Chiropractic, noting that she is "the best." Having had several visits over the last couple months, I have to agree. Her wholistic view of how the spine and central nervous system interact with and effect the whole body has been enlightening and beneficial outside of repairing the damage caused by my injury. Jaclyn is the absolute best!! I started seeing her when my body was revolting against itself with hypothyroidism and fibromyalgia. She took on all my discomforts with a variety of techniques. She uses active release to help relax my angry muscles. When that doesn't work she uses the graston technique to send my muscles into submission. If it weren't for her I would not be able to continue my 12 hour days as a nurse, she keeps my body in balance making sure it works in harmony. I have referred my mom, with osteoarthritis. I also take my teenage son who plays a variety of sports, to Jaclyn, because she is so great with the muscles that get overused in sports. I don't know what we would do without her!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jaclyn. You just have to tell her where the pain is and she immediately knows what technique to use on you. On a scale from 1-10, 10 being the most painful - I came to see Dr. Jaclyn at a level 7 and after only two months I was down to a level 2. The pain was in my right shoulder mostly, so she worked with me on strengthening my lower back so I could take the pressure off my shoulders. She also used the Graston Technique on both shoulders and my neck and I could not believe how much better I felt a few days later. Her adjustments are quick and effective! I highly recommend Dr. Duenas. She has helped me with my chronic headaches and I could not rave more about her. I rarely get headaches now.
