Very friendly staff and highly knowledgeable doctors! I would recommend this office to anyone that needs quality care, they are wonderful!

A couple of months ago I was a few years out without an adjustment and hurting and aching. Dr. J and Dr. Todd were highly recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad I went. I left my very first visit feeling like I was "walking on sunshine"! I even sang that song as I left ha ha ha. They also do adjustment types I've never had done before like my shoulder joints, ears, fingers, and sinuses were needed. Their whole body knowledge is first class and I always leave their feelings so much better. Both doctors and their office staff are friendly, warm and caring. Their masseuses are first rate also. I can't recommend this office more. I called them my "pop" stars! read more

I moved to the Puyallup area 2.5 years ago. I had a great chiropractor before I moved and was hoping to find one here. My back can be a bit tricky to adjust. I tried four different, well-reviewed doctors and none of them were able to reliably get my low back stabilized. So I gave up for about 2 years. But I was finally in so much pain, I decided to try again, and I'm so glad I did! I found Dr. J at Swendsen Chiro. The very first adjustment freed things up so much I felt a wash of cool tingles all the way down my leg (release of pressure on the nerve) and a total absence of the chronic pain I'd had since I moved here. Not surprisingly given my issues, it's taken about 2 months to start to feel stable again, but each adjustment gives me relief, and helps me go a little longer between visits. For the past week my back has been better than I can remember for a long time. I've also seen Dr. Todd once when Dr. J wasn't in, and he was also very good! The atmosphere is upbeat and friendly. I'm a cash-pay client and the cost is very reasonable. The staff are wonderful and caring. I've had a few massages with their team and liked them! Take it from me, save yourself some trial and error, and just start with these guys. You will be so glad you did. read more

I have been coming to this clinic for the past 8 years, at least once a month for general maintenance. The massage therapists are great and the chiropractic doctors, Todd and Justin, are the absolute best, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable and effective. And the clinic manager, Tonya is just awesome. read more

After 5+ months, I can finally sleep through the night!!! My husband is a patient and recommended this place. After months of back pain and restless sleep, I finally feel like I'm getting back to feeling normal. Justin has changed my life. They are very thorough in their assessment and every one is super friendly. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

I've been a patient of Swendsen Chiro for a few years now and still love coming here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Todd and Dr. J work with you on a personal healthcare plan to improve your symptoms and treat each patient differently. They are not your typical chiro who pops you and says you're good to go. They will cater to your symptoms and make adjustments where needed. Check in process: check in with your card and then answer questions about your symptoms. Time waiting: Although this clinic is terrific and the care is great, I have found myself waiting anywhere from 15-30 mins after my scheduled apt time to get my chiro adjustments due to patient volume. So do plan some extra time waiting, but it's worth it! The office does play movies regularly to keep you entertained. Chiro: Both Dr. J and Dr. Todd are great! They have great personalities and techniques. Like I mentioned earlier, they will cater to your symptoms and make a plan specific for your needs. They will spend about 5-7 minutes with your adjustments. Massage: This clinic also offers massage services. They have a few staff members that offer massage services, I recommend Jocelyn if your insurance takes accepts her and can get into her apt books. I definitely recommend this clinic. Their office is great! I couldn't minus 0.5 stars, but I would rate this office 4.5/5 only due to the wait times, everything else is great. read more

Accumulative stress and neglect eventually found myself hobbling in with a cane. Muscle spasms centered behind my left knee kept me from putting pressure on my foot for a week before I could even "think" to make an appt. because of the pain. But Dr T (Todd) and Dr J (Justin) got their turns working out the misalignments over a 12 wk period 3X a week. Now I'm on maintenance care (1x monthly) . (Physical Therapy 3X wk/10 wks got me started with self care) Researching online what my part is I've learned the complexity of our body, muscles that work together and must be strengthened if I want mobility. I must say, it got from my Head to my Heart. There are dozens of movements/exercises that can be done on the "Bed" and in a "Chair"! And increased walking has its own rewards! My body thanks me for consistency and I know what stretch to do when a muscle isn't happy. I'm finally listening and responding to MY Body. Thank YOU Swendson Chiropractic Staff for YOUR PART in improving MY Life! read more

The doctors, as in the chiropractors seem very good and efficient. And very thorough with their assessments and treatments. The massage therapist I've had there have been good as well. But the front staff is just horrid. They have no people skills. They hardly look at you when they talk. It's like they have trouble reading their own computer. They can never remember to charge me the appropriate amount when they're supposed to even though I keep a card on file with them every time. And they've gotten stuff wrong on my insurance multiple times. But the top of it is I call and make an appointment with them and they tell me only early appointment 7 AM are available and I show up and then they say oh you're not even booked sorry. There are since a professionalism is horrible. read more

I found this office by accident after I was involved in a car accident at the beginning of 2023. Dr. Todd and Dr. J are the best and I feel like I can trust them 100% and I'm so fortunate to be one of their patients! The staff and office manager have been nothing but helpful, sweet and very welcoming. They absolutely go above and beyond for their patients here. read more

But recently, I was finally in so much pain, I decided to try again. I'm so glad I did! I found Dr. J at Swendsen Chiropractic. They do x-rays on the initial visit, which I was hesitant about at first due to cost. But they were affordable and I found it really helpful and informative to see on film what my body was screaming at me on a daily basis. I think it helped them understand more than the prior providers what was going on and made them more able to help me. The very first adjustment freed things up so much I felt a wash of cool tingles all the way down my leg (release of pressure on the nerve) and a total absence of the chronic pain I'd had since I moved here. Swendsen Chiropractic Clinic - Detox foot bath - Chiropractors Near Me - Puyallup, Washington

Hello, I usually don't write reviews much, as you'll see, but I was so impressed with this Clinic that I felt honored to write about my experiences there. I have been to many Chiropractors, Massage Therapist, Acupuncturists, Soft Touch, you name it and in many countries. Well, I am sold on the Swendsen Clinic. I really paid attention to their focus and compassion in what they do and the pride they have in restoring my everyday physical activities and with less pain. I also watched their concentration while working on me as well as others and was very impressed with their in depth analysis of our pain and the best way to get our way of life back. The Clinic can't run without a Staff and this Staff is totally awesome! Extremely helpful, friendly and on point with insurance issues. The great thing with me is the government just recently allowed us military to be seen by them and some other Clinics as well so they are already well versed for us military folk. The biggest thing I like about the Swendsens is they don't just go through the motions. They study you, figure out the best solution for YOUR situation and do one heck of a job in obtaining their goal and having you leave better and with so much less pain and discomfort. It's very comforting to know that they are really trying to help me move better and have the passion to do just that. I am finally getting the care and personal attention I need for my ailments. read more

I had such severe lower back pain that I couldn't stand up straight or walk unless I was bent over looking at the ground. The pain was so intense that I thought I'd never recover. Dr. T and Dr J had me standing up straight and walking without pain in 3 visits . They thought I'd need surgery. After the first visit and diagnosis with Dr J, I was significantly better and today I am swimming, hiking and playing pickelball again. I am so grateful for their care and for the office staffs' positive attitude. They care and they are good at what they do! Don't go anywhere else ! They are miracle workers ! read more

I wanted to wait a week or so before I reviewed this place. I made an 8:15 appointment, which is rather early for me (I get off work at 10:30 pm in Seattle). I had made a few mistakes and scribbled on my patient form and instead of making me re-do the entire thing, the receptionist rewrote everything over for me and just had be review it. I have never had that happened before, shows they really like things to be neat. My first appt was very thorough. It was almost 2 hours but I felt like they cared and wanted to get down to what was causing my pain. Some history: I was 28 weeks pregnant and my hips were killing me. Every night when I crawled into bed I couldn't get out unless I was helped out. I could barely walk some days. After Dr.Justin saw me and adjusted me OH MY GOSH! It was the first time in my pregnancy that I was able to get into bed and get up when I needed to pee without any pain! They were very careful and caring that I was pregnant and didn't want to have any harm towards my unborn son. It's been over a week since I had my first visit and I still feel amazing! I am going to keep coming back! read more

So here's my story... 12 days ago I started having pain in my left shoulder, neck and head. Nothing I took would make the pain stop. I was getting very anxious as I had a trip planned to England on July 18. My boyfriend and good friend suggested that an make an appointment at Swendsen. On July 6th I was seen by Dr. J, I explained to him how I got the injury.... He did x-rays and an examination and told me he would make me feel better. I have had 5 adjustments and I am here to say, I HAVE NO PAIN! He and his staff are incredible! Today on my way out.... I said, Dr. J Can I please hug you! If you are looking for a Chiropractor, look no further! read more

They have lots of availability and take the time to give quality care, feedback, and advice. They're great with people of all ages and so personable. Plus, they always play a movie that makes me giggle while I wait. read more

This clinic is an absolute joke! Definitely don't waste your time. I've been to many chiropractors in the past and have had pretty great experiences across the board but this was by far the worst. The staff was dismissive and had no regard for why I was actually there. The lady running the clinic was very hostile and rude. You're just a number. I was mislead by the other positive reviews. They completely wasted my time! read more

Been seeing Dr. J and Dr. Todd for almost a year. I have several issues that have been greatly relived by these two. They listen, act on what I may complain about AND are able to have a conversation about things focusing away from my pain. I have a disturbed gait but when I see them for an adjustment I can almost walk normally. I feel more comfortable exercising, riding my bike and, well, simply getting out of bed! Great practitioners, at least 5 stars! read more

I had never needed a chiropractor but recently had a fall and sciatica so knew a chiropractor would help. A friend recommended this clinic. They did x-rays and a thorough medical history after which my treatment plan was determined. After 2 visits I feel like a new person and very hopeful that I will be back to doing everything after treatment is complete. I would strongly recommend the Swendsen clinic too anyone needing a chiropractor. read more

This is easily the best chiropractic experience I've ever had. I came here a number of years ago when the practice was under different ownership and was not impressed. I'd heard good things from my mother (who had recently become a patient) when it switched hands and decided to come back and give it another shot- so glad that I did! The staff and doctors are incredibly polite and kind, and take the time to make sure you understand your xrays and treatment protocol. Adjustments have been excellent and I loved their therapy/massage table. Can't recommend these guys highly enough: if you've got joint or back pain hobble over as best you can and they'll get you sorted! read more

Dr. Justin and Dr. Todd have really helped me get relief from my scoliosis. When I first arrived I could hardly raise my harm over my head and now I'm 90% better and well on my way to improved health. Everyone in the clinic is professional and does their job with excellence. I highly recommend Swendsen Chiropractic Clinic. If you are new to the area or are just looking for someone you can trust, this is the place for you. read more

I was extremely happy with my decision to go to Swendsen! Everyone in the office was so friendly ams welcoming as well as thorough with my treatment. I felt comfortable with our treatment plan for me and I'm happy to be starting it with them! read more

I had a car accident that required many surgeries and years of physical therapy. By the end my back was still hurting and I had accepted that, any time I did any extra activity, as simple as vacuuming the house, or lift a little weight I would have to deal with a week long of heating pad, pain relief medication, cremes etc. I brought my daughter to the clinic for her upper back pain and decided to give it a shot on a treatment for myself. I was gonna have to bring her anyway. They took xray of my back and sure enough, it was a mess. I begin treatment and in 2-3 months I was completely pain free. Today I am back on doing gardening, working with shovel, spending hours planting and I can even bring heavy groceries back inside. I am very thankful for coming to this clinic. My daughter is also doing great by the way. I totally recommend. read more

When I moved to this area from Hawaii in January of this year I wasn't sure what to do about finding a new chiropractor because my chiropractor back home is amazing. I searched around and found Swendson Chiropractic and man o man I'm so glad that I found them. Dr J & Dr Todd are brothers who are absolutely outstanding doctors! Their knowledge & professionalism on how they run their practice is incredible. I used to work in the industry and have never met chiropractors quite like them. From my first experience with the front desk then with the two Dr's I knew I had found my new home with for my chiropractic care for many years to come. When I arrived at this beautiful glass building they are located in I was impressed with the ascetics. Since the front parking lot was full I quickly found parking around the back. They are located on the 2nd floor to the right at the end of the hall. The door to the left is their massage therapy department and to the right is the lobby & the checkin counter. One of the girls at a the check in desk helped me fill out all my paperwork, since I have MS with cognitive problems. She was super friendly and very patient. Soon after my paperwork was filled out I was taken to a room where I met Dr J and went through a full examination. I really felt like he cared about what I had to say, it was wonderful. After my examination & X-rays (which are actually read by a radiologist) Dr J adjusted my Atlas (the upper part of my neck) I actually started to feel less pain. Dr J led me to a room with 2 lay down flat tables that have a roller that rolls back forth down your spine. I laid down on one of the tables as Dr J started the machine. I got to lay their for 10 min and experience total relaxation. It was pure bliss! ahhhhhhhhh.... lol. When I finished on the table the front desk scheduled my next appointment (for the next day) to come in for the reading of my X-rays and to receive my first full adjustment. Once finished with my consultation, the small adjustment to my neck and a roller on my back for 10 minutes I walked out of there feeling wonderful!!! A little note: I feel that it is important to remember that everyone lives with their own pain levels and everyone experiences things differently. read more

This place is awesome! You can tell that everyone here truly cares about what they do. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable throughout each visit. Going to a chiropractor (especially for the first time) can be very intimidating, but they take the time to explain each process in detail and how it is going to help your body and your particular diagnosis/injuries. I highly recommend coming here and have already recommended many friends and family! read more

If you or your child suffer from TICS...I highly recommend treatment here! We started coming for my son, age 9. He had horrible neck pain from TICS... (his being neck muscles that involuntarily have repetitive jerking motions which he had no control over). Tics can be a nervous tic or your nervous system is going haywire. Either or, being adjusted from a chiropractor can help align everything to either eliminate or reduce the intensity in my opinion as well as relieving any stress that can intensify them. For 4 years he has struggled with this. After coming for two months once a week.....my son has no known tics. It is such a relief to see him be a normal kiddo. Thank you Bergstrom brothers! read more

I had really bad headaches to the point I couldn't get out of bed. Since I came to Swendsen Chiropractic Clinic, Dr. Bergstrom has helped me so much. I do not get headaches anymore. The clinic gets you in and out on time. The Dr.'s and staff are nice and helpful. read more

Just had an appointment today after neglecting my care last year. No judgement, very caring doctors. Always explain what they are doing and suggest after care - heat/ice. The support staff is also absolutely awesome! I recommend them without hesitation. My family has received excellent care here, from 20 years old to 76 years old with issues related to sports, age, work and stress. Take care of yourself, you will be glad you went! read more

I must say that I'm super impressed with the two Bergstrom brothers working at this clinic. I am usually pretty hesitant about chiropractors but their professional manor and in-depth examinations really set me at ease. I first worked with Dr Justin and was treated for spinal impingement in my neck that he was able to correct after only a couple visits. I had a reoccurrence a few months later after a bad fall and was unable to turn my head. Dr Todd was able to fit me in that same day and treat me. He realigned my neck and my pain was gone. I met with him for a followup the next week and he gave me some exercises and stretches to do so that I would not be so susceptible to this same thing again. They not only give you immediate relief from your pain but they also will show you how to stay healthy going forward as well. Thank you Bergstrom brothers for going the extra mile for my health and wellness! read more

After my long-time chiro retired, i didn't think i'd even find anyone who was as great, but this clinic cam recommended to me from a physical therapist. I'm so glad she mentioned it because my whole family has been super happy here. The people at the desk are wonderfully helpful, the actual chiropractic treatments are great, and the overall experience is expedient and effective. I bring my kids here and got my husband in as well. When my son and husband were in a car accident, everyone here took a role in helping them, from working directly with our insurance to really listening to their needs and working very successfully with their injuries. Recommend highly. read more

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Dr. Justin Bergstrom for about 2 years. I have worked with a quite few different Chiropractors and I have to say Dr. Justin is a great guy to have on your team of recovery or wellness. He truly inspires and welcomes you back to wellness. He is exceptionally knowledgeable with great exercises, stretches and nutrition tips. Along with being in tune with his adjustments to aleveate what ailments you may have. RUN, DON'T WALK, TO SEE DR. JUSTIN !!! I have been seeing chiropractors for 10+ years, and Dr Justin far exceeds my expectations and past experiences. He has the very special (and rare) talent of introducing different techinques to make the experience different yet effective at each visit. Dr. Justin took the time to get to know about me and I truly believe that helped in building trust and making me feel more comfortable in our meetings. It's too bad there isn't a higher YELP rating, because I would definitely give it to Dr. Justin. -Mark Jones, Seattle read more

Phenomenal clinic overall! The entire staff at Swendson is amazing! My back issues have increasingly been improving since seeing them less than a year ago and during my pregnancy I have remained mobile and pain-free! The doctors are thorough with their care and make you feel comfortable from day one! Gentle on the body but very effective with results! The massage therapists are wonderful and I always leave feeling like I can conquer the world! The reception and support staff are friendly and I look forward to seeing everyone in the office each time I come in for an adjustment. I never feel rushed or unimportant when I am seen, but that I am priority during my time. I would recommend this clinic to any of my clients and friends. I have to tell you about the Best Chiropractor I know in Downtown Seattle. He is possibly the best chiropractor in all of seattle and other surrounding cities of Washington. I have been getting adjusted by Dr. Bergstrom for over six years now and I always feel improvement after I see him. He has adjusted me for back pain, neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain, and even when I fractured a rib he provided support and helped manage my case. I happen to know he is a huge personality and is just fun to be around. He Absolutely brings energy into your day each time you are around him. I also know he treats patients of all ages and ailments. Sports injuries, weekend warriors like me, chronic pain, pregnancy adjusting too. My wife said he had the closest technique to mine of any chiropractor she has ever had adjust her. I trust this man with my spine, my wife's spine and YOUR spine!!! read more

I've been coming here a bit over a month now. I wish I could say I've felt a lot of improvement in my chronic pain but unfortunately I haven't yet. Recently it's been a little better. However, I don't fault the chiropractors here and Swendsen. They've been nothing but supportive, thorough in their explanations, and have never made me feel as though I were on the chiropractic conveyor belt if you will, being given the same treatment every time and the same as everyone else as has been my experience in the past with another chiropractor. They go out of their way to keep me in the loop about everything. I only take away one star because the front staff has had some difficulties giving me straight answers about my insurance and what it does and does not cover. However, I should have taken it upon myself to call my insurance and clarify. I do recommend them highly but I also recommend you do your own insurance research. read more
