Clare and John from Batts Farm B&B recommended the Rodney Stoke Inn for dinner and made us a reservation. Perfect timing as it turned out as we snagged the last table
Rodney Stoke Inn is literally just down the road from Batts Farm with ample parking. It has a modern feel to the interior and food is clearly a large part of their business with a lot of tables set up for diners
The menu is drawn from all over the globe - Japanese deep fried prawns, Mexican tortillas, Lebanese hummus, American pork ribs, Spanish serrano ham, Italian parma ham, English fish & chips and Indian samosas. I suppose this reflects the multi-national crowd drawn to the nearby tourist attractions like Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole.
Our antipasti plate to share for starter was nice if not genuinely top class. My steak was cooked medium rare as requested and the accompanying bearnaise sauce complimented the meat well. My friend's salmon was well cooked though lacked a little seasoning.
