    Chicken Breast platter
    Karina M.

Absolutely love this place! it's definitely one of my favorite food spots in Playa Vista. They validate parking in the structure, unlike the place next door, which only claims to validate parking, so you can be in and out quickly if you're picking up food to go. They have a Chipotle style set up but that doesn't mean the service isn't stellar. They'll let you try meats and items on the protein list and help you build out your order. I've gotten the chicken breast platter on every visit, but I've sampled the fried falafel and it's delicious. All the veggies have always been really fresh and delicious. The turmeric rice is just delicious and the meat quality is amazing. I'm personally really picky about meat, but it's always been top quality--no gross or dark meat pieces in the chicken breast and they make it fresh to order. The desserts are also incredible! I've tried the baklava cheesecake and salted caramel butterscotch cheesecake and both were absolutely amazing if you're a baklava fan! Highly recommend this spot!

The baklava cheesecake sounds like such a good idea, but it doesn't taste good at all and costs $70. Between six people, we couldn't even finish a single slice because it tastes like piles of cinnamon. The cheesecake part is decent but it's drowned out by all the cinnamon. The baklava part is inedible. I wish these cakes had return policies.

I was a regular patron to the NoHo location until I moved out of the area. I absolutely loved it and always raved to all my friends about it. When I found out that the Playa location was conveniently in an area I frequent, I was excited to get it again. The only positives to the Playa locale is that the honey custard cake is amazing and that the Big Fat Pitas are still oversized goodness. The park fries ended up soggy from the condensation in the bag. Granted, the fries were still warm, but that packaging is not conducive to ANY level of fry-happiness. The chicken shawarma bowl was beyond a let down. The majority of it was dark meat, and it was so dried out. There was absolutely no seasoning or flavor to the chicken. It tasted like it had been roasted bare and sitting in a warming tray for a couple days exposed to the direct summer sun. You know that scene in Christmas Vacation where they're sitting around the dinner table and trying to chew through the turkey? Ya, it was that dry. The rice was okay. The tzatziki sauce was a bit scary, too. In the little to-go containers, the sauce had an uncanny amount of water separation happening in it. Like, there's a normal type of separation that can happen (proteins in the dairy, etc), but this wasn't right. Even after stirring it up a bit, it had a slimy goop consistency. Flavor-wise? I took a bite with the chicken and didn't bother with the rest. The big fat gyro pita was okay. All the sauce was just on the ends, but the pita bread was soft and there was a lot of meat. Overall, I was full from the meal (of what I did finish eating) but extremely disappointed in it. I won't go back. In terms of parking, I can see it being tricky when school is in session (I went on a Saturday). I parked in the 10 minute drop off zone outside on Shared Dr. Not knowing the area, I wandered through the parking structure following the signs for the food. There is a visitors entrance into the parking structure off of S Center Campus Dr (I discovered as I drove away).

    Big Fat Pita with Falafel.

Finally tried this place for lunch today and WOW was I pleasantly surprised. I never thought Greek place in a Hipster office park would be so good. I had the Big Fat Pita with Falafel today. The falafels were made to order which is a must in my opinion. All of the fillings were very fresh and crisp. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back.

Place in like and hidden but if you find it you'll be grub n! Food is great but wish my plates had more meat. I think the owner did come by and hook me up with more on da house. Friendly and attentive staff. Will return asap and get a side of meat with my order next time. They validate too so don't forget.

    Meats + Olives + Feta + Sauce!!

This joint is located in a very quiet and mostly empty park of the massive Playa Vista biz complex. Since COVID it's been pretty spooky over there. But there's a few great spots for lunch, especially if you are looking for somewhere mellow to grab a meal. Rodini is good. For $12 bucks I got a generous Greek plate with delicious fresh veggies, yummy feta, tangy olives and tons of sauce options. Lord knows I am obsessed with a good food bowl. I would probably opt for another meat or the falafel option next time. The beef/lamb gyro was fine, if not lukewarm and a bit dry. Ok but nothing to write home about. Maybe I would just get a salad as the veggies and sauce were so good. It's such a cute place, nice staff and a great outdoor patio area. I found easy parking on the street and strolled over in 2 minutes. The dessert options are insane, I will def go back just to get on some of that. Epic sweets cases.

My group tried several dishes to share as they are on the smaller side. Seating was a bit cramped and the place was packed for a weekend brunch. Lamb hummus ($19) - This consisted of braised ground lamb served over some hummus and fresh pita. The pita was so pillowy soft and fresh out of the oven. The hummus consistency was a little on the chunkier side and not as creamy as I had hoped for. Bacari burger open faced ($15) - The beef is grass fed and came with caramelized onions, Worcestershire aioli, telera roll, and a fried egg. Although it was on the smaller side the burger wasn't bad taste wise. Lamb shakshouka pizza ($16.50) - This was served with pilpelchuma, arugula, red onion, goat cheese emulsion, and egg. The crust was too thin for my liking, almost cracker like and the sauce over powered the pizza, couldn't even taste the lamb. Brussels sprouts ($15.5) - These were caramelized and served with pomegranate molasses creme fraiche and julienne beets. This is a must get side when dining here. Shawarma chicken tacos ($16 for 3) - These had shredded cabbage, pickled red onion, sesame, and garlic tahini. I wasn't impressed, they were a little too plain. Crab cake benedict ($13) - Breaded claw meat, grapefruit hollandaise, and a sous vide egg rounded out this dish. It wasn't bad taste wise. Chicken schnitzel ($20.5) - This came with whipped feta, arugula-mint salad, and sumac onion. The batter was over cooked and too crispy. For dessert my group tried a pistachio sfoglia ($12) which had some great tasting pistachio cream. Although I felt the dish was over priced it wasn't bad. However my group prefered the bread pudding ($9.50) which came with clover honey custard and vanilla ice cream. Overall the food wasn't bad, they have some creative ideas. Service was a little off, but the manager apologized for some missteps in some of the dishes and adjusted the bill accordingly.

What's the old adage?…read more You got ta give credit, where credits due-even for the little things! And that credit this time around goes to server Angel J, (not pictured), the CSA, or customer service All-Star of this experience. I probably eat at the same spots over and over more often than most. Why? Because as much as I love the food, I love to see the same people over and over.....and over again. This is, to a degree, perhaps the New Orleans influence that I came up under. Ask most serious New Orleans natives who have dined everywhere (from the old restaurants that have been around for over 100 years or more to the local hole in the walls), and they'll tell you to a man or to a woman that once they've come to expect the same quality of food, what they really desire most is to see their favorite server. Some of these servers ultimatey! by extension, go on to become friends of the family, and perhaps even considered family. This is the lens with which I see the dining experience as a whole, but anything where repeat business is concerned.
