We stopped here for the night. We found the rooms clean & the staff was friendly. Breakfast was a bit sparse, offering only waffles with syrup, blueberry muffins, white bread for toast & one cold cereal choice. No fruit, yogurt, juice or hot options like eggs, sausage, or oatmeal. However, we were passing through town & for the price, we felt like we got our money's worth. We would stay there again! P.S. This hotel is located about 1 mile from "Standing on the Corner" Park, which is a fun place to visit if you like "The Eagles." read more

I knew this hotel had low rating when I booked but i was tired and just wanted a cheaply priced hotel to sleep for the night. It met those two requirements. Hotel is worn. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Otherwise everything else was worn and run down. Floor was damaged (vinyl flooring planks coming up), mismatched hodge podge furniture, toilet was not fully fastened/bolted to floor, yellowed/rough towels. This is a horrible, horrible place. Decrepit, nearly out of business. No true breakfast served in the AM as promised, simply some stale bread, a waffle machine that looks like it's never ever been cleaned, and not even a glass of OJ to get you going. The bed itself was horrible -- some kind of metal on it that flexes and makes a terrible sound whenever someone gets in or out. The entire night we were up because someone moved in the bed. Run! It's bed bug infested! It's 3:00 am as I've just been awoken having been bitten all over my arm by bed bugs. (Pictures included). I'm in room 104. I wanted to leave the hotel immediately and went to the front desk and asked for a refund. The manager, a complete liar said he had no authority to refund. I was then denied another room. So I'm forced to sleep on the chair. The manager had zero accountability or responsibility. I believe this hotel is bed bug infested. I've enclosed a picture of the bug I just killed in my bed. now they said I booked handicap but this is the room they put in after the toilet broke the first night and I have been here three days so far They accepted the extra additional $20 cash for pet fee for the two extra days, already paid an additional $40 pet fee, yesterday and now they want more $20 more today I am cold and standing in the lobby I can not move cat is scared, see picture ps there were about 10 cockroaches in the other room, which she realized after she put me & the cat in the other room, this current room is the room she offered me at the beginning before the toilet problem. ZERO STARS...This place should be condemned. Hotel was absolutely TERRIBLE. Room was damaged, dirty, and smelled awful. Plumbing issues as well made this room un-stayable. Management refused to issue a refund and I had to find a hotel 30 min away at 1030 at night with my son and his team. DO NOT STAY HERE. Trying to get my money back is very difficult. Employee claims he doesn't know the name of the manager, refuses to give any information about a corporate number. Reading the other reviews it looks like this hotel is run by an onsite local team. They refused to speak with me, or call me back. Getting my money back through my bank and will take legal action if I have to simply based on principal. Looks like they make their money by scamming customers because they sure as hell don't know how to run a hotel. read more

I drove 12 hours to get here and when I was checking in my wife and her mom were bringing our bags in and the owner ran after them accusing us of bringing an extra person that wasn't on the Reservation. When I was trying to sort everything out with then my wife came by and told the owner that our room had chicken crumbs all over the counters and that our room wasn't clean and the owner immediately started yelling at her telling her to check our or that she'd call the cops to escort us. We tried to stay calm and tell her to not yell but she just kept yelling and told us to leave. read more

This place is an absolute disgusting establishment. Sure their prices are low and you get what you pay for but DAMN this dump takes the cake! The bathroom tub was black I refused to let myself or my husband step foot in there without shoes on. The beds were horrible. The pillows were so old and so nasty that we didn't use them. The bed had blood stains...not sure if they were bed buds. We never took our items after coming home inside our home when we returned, we immediately went to the laundry mat and threw away anything we could to protect our home. The carpet......GROSS!!! On top of that the cleaning lady never threw out our trash. They never changed our sheets. This motel overall was just a horrible experience all together. Overall: Dirty, cramped and out-dated. Our options were a little limited because we were traveling with pets. This was such a poor experience, that next time, I'll travel a little farther and stay someplace nicer. Check-In: As soon as I stepped through the door, I knew this had been a bad decision. It was late in the evening and there were guests waiting in the "lobby" for their rooms to be cleaned. There was a very musty smell in the lobby and the only saving grace was the incense burning at the altar in the office. The place looked like it had not been deep cleaned in a very long time. Room: Very cramped. The room barely fit the two beds, dresser, nightstand and table/chairs. I didn't notice when I made the reservation, that it said "full beds" because most of the places I've stayed have had queen beds at a minimum. Two adults are hard pressed to sleep comfortably in a full bed. The carpet in our room was dirty and permanently scarred, the walls in the bathroom, at the ceiling were full of mold, the bath tub was stained with black and there was hair in the tub and sink, one of the chairs in the room was so stained, that I put it in the corner and wouldn't let anyone use it. Even the window had been left unlocked and was partially open when we checked in. Unlike many hotels, especially in the Choice family, they do charge $10 plus tax for pets which made it the same price as a place I should have stayed. Pros: It is very close to the freeway with easy on/off access for travelers. It also has ample parking for guests and a large lot next door for trailers, campers or semis. The price was very cheap compared to other accommodations (which should have set the expectation low to begin with). read more

We stopped one night and were given a room under the family who own this live and possibly practice clog dances or acrobatic stunts late into the night and then again at 3:30 4am! As thrilling as that must be for the family and I applaud their dedication to the ritual, it basically sucked for the guests. Also, they tried to charge $15.00 for our dog and come to find out as we were checking out that they only charge $10.00. Another angry guest had told us; it isn't posted anywhere. read more

GROSS! My brother and I decided to stay here during our cross country drive, because it was reasonably priced. We were so disappointed! As soon as we walked in we could tell we were gonna be disappointed. The parking lot was super sketchy, the building was old and grimy. Our room was ok at first glance but once we checked the beds BOTH had yellow stains on them. We thought ok we just need a bed to sleep in whatever, but then my brother found a pubic hair on one of the towels and more stains. No way. We got out of there ASAP and counted that money as a loss. Whatever you do, don't ask for a quiet room. They'll put you right under the apartment where the big, noisy family who owns the hotel, and its yippy little dog live. Heavy footsteps above at all hours and what sounded like someone was banging the dirt off large trays before stacking all 100 or so, starting at 4:10 a.m.! I'm pretty sure they felt we should not have the audacity to ask for a quiet room. When we were struggling with our bags in the airlock entry, the manager stood there and watched us from his vantage point between the doors, not offering so much as a toe or heel the hold one door open for us. As for the room, the lighting was awful. The beds were okay. The freezer needs defrosting and how about this view! Advertised free breakfast but no breakfast. Just coffee (due to COVID-19) it's early but the dog has been barking upstairs for a while now. Guess we'll hit the road. read more

DUMP! Found this place on Priceline while planning a trip out west. After a long day of driving, we were both exhausted and were looking forward to a cozy hotel room to relax, rest and rejuvenate. As we pulled into the parking lot, I could already tell this was going to be a gross place and boy, was I right. Upon entering, I stood at the front desk but nobody was there, so I was instructed to dial '0' on the phone, which I did, and a young kid came out to assist. Our room was non-smoking, but the entire hotel smelled of stale smoke from years and years and years of smoking inside. The hallways were dark, dank and dirty and our room wasn't any better. The queen sized beds were very uncomfortable, the pillows were the cheap $5 ones from the dollar store or Wal-Mart, the decor was straight out of 1985 and the bathroom sink counter was dirty. The TV is the old school tube TV's from the 90's. We both couldn't even wait to get out of there, it was such a depressing place.. the type of place people would OD at, or get a room with a prostitute. read more

Great stay for the price! I was on a road trip with my boyfriend and cat and we needed a place to stay for the night. Because of the pet, places were limited. Called this hotel and was told $10 pet fee. Not bad. Booked over the phone. We got there and were helped immediately by friendly staff. The room was a little outdated but clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. Waffle maker, sausages, cereal, bread and donuts. Orange juice, apple juice, milk, tea and coffee available. Some of the stuff was out by the time we got to breakfast but we simply asked for more and it was immediately refilled no problem! Super nice and friendly family who runs the place. Great stay for the price. It's not the Ritz but it was a great sleep with yummy breakfast and incredible staff. Would stay again. read more

If there is a way I could give a negative star to this Inn, I would. We have a booking confirmation at Booking.com and we were driving down to Winslow on a cold late night only to be refused accomodation because of plumbing issues. What a very irresponsible thing that the staff did of not calling us ahead of time that they cannot accomodate us for the night. We were so tired from the long drive and we were left staying in the car for the night at sub zero temp because the whole town and the nearby towns have hotels at full capacity and cannot accomodate new customers. It was too late to drive farther because the winter weather conditions is dangerous for us to drive further. If we were told ahead of time then we could have made alternative plans. The staff in this hotel needs to be trained how to have the common sense of not compromising their guests. read more

We ended up here for one night in Winslow last night. I was a bit worried with the mixed reviews but was so pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean with a microwave, coffee maker, and a mini fridge. The air conditioner looked new and kept the room pleasant all night. The family operating the place was friendly and helpful. Also, it was pet friendly. Low rate, chinese american restaurant across street, nice owners, limited oversize pull thru truck parking, at least one very clean refurbished room, Accepts CLC, my decked trucks were not stripped or vandalized by morning maybe because of a well lit parking lot. Cons. Abandoned junk vehicles in parking lot, west wing hallway and stairs have not been vacuumed in months, the first room (232) was nasty. Old dirty rug, dirty walls with holes, old dirty bedspreads, when i turned down the sheets, i could tell they had been slept in, i saw hair, dark particles and what looked like potato chips. I immediatly complained and he gave me a much better refurbished room (105). TVs are old school, cont. bf was very skimpy, intermittent wifi. read more

This hotel has stained and torn towels broken furniture and has cops searching rooms at 6 am. The other guests as we were leaving had similar problems here. We asked them to refund our second night and they refused. We were still willing to pay for the night we stayed but due to those experiences we felt the extenuating circumstances warranted us not wanting to stay another night. They were Unwilling and with rates three times their normal they are greedy and unethical. For being Indian (Asian) this is the first I have ever met that has no ethics and does not act like her peers . read more

I walked into my room with baited breathe and when I saw the room, let out a big sigh of relief. That was because I stayed at the Days Inn in Needles, CA the night before and it was truly a dump. I actually had to worry about bed bugs there as the place didn't look like it had even been cleaned. Really, REALLY awful. Here, what a HUGE difference. Very clean, professional front desk staff, I was offered a chilled bottle of water, everything working and in good order. Felt safe lying down on the bed. Amazing how things can be so different from place to place. The kicker? The other motel was more expensive than this one. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. read more

Showers are hot with good pressure. Beds are nice and firm too. Good value if you need a quiet place to sleep. Appreciate they allow pets too. Reasons for 3 stars: blankets are thin; TV remote batteries were dead; floor by the bed was sticky; and the toilet had a smell of urine, though it appeared clean. read more

This place is not handicap friendly, ADA compliant at all. After making reservation with this hotel directly, and explaining that I am an amputee and I use a wheelchair, I was assured there was a room for me. When we arrived at the motel to check in, I was told the "handicap room" is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. Also the wheelchair ramp in front of building needs repaired. After demanding a refund and speaking to the manager, I know nothing will be done, and they didn't give a shit that I was in a strange town with no where to stay. read more

We stayed here for two nights and it was a surprisingly nice Rodeway Inn. It's always a risk to book places like this on Priceline, and this one was definitely worth it. We paid $30 per night. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly. The coffee at the breakfast was even decent. I give it four stars for two reasons. The heater was super loud; it took me a little while to fall asleep. I also went out to grab breakfast around 8:45 (closed at 9) and it was slim pickings. Arrived around 10 pm to a really hot lobby with no ac to find they had no water (not their fault, the city was working on it). It was July in Arizona and the air wasn't on in my room. It took quite awhile to cool the room down, and i couldn't go to the lobby for reprieve, because the air wasn't on there, either. The bed was mostly comfortable, but the whole hotel is in major need of an upgrade. There is a burn mark on the carpet in the room, the faucets don't have a stopper, so you're constantly turning it to find the exact right "off" spot. Very old furnishings in the room. The breakfast is definitely just carbs and reheated sausage links. A few donuts, bread for toast, a few cereals. Everything needed refilling. Chairs in the breakfast area are dirty and stained. Packets of powdered creamer. This place served the purpose of a bed after a long day of driving, but that's it. read more

There was a dog barking much of the night, not on the premises, but annoying nonetheless, and indicative of poor sound-proofing. Carpets were badly worn, sheets were stained, and the deadbolt on our door had been removed. The outside doors did not appear to be secured at night. Half the light bulbs in the bathroom were burnt out, and one of the diffusers was missing. Otherwise the room was adequate, with what appeared to be new mattresses. The room itself was not dirty, and there were no bugs. Breakfast was adequate. Payment problems: I booked using Tripadvisor, but somehow ordered two rooms instead of the one we needed. We called the motel and Tripadvisor, but we were stuck paying for a room we didn't use. This was bad, but we figured it was just a small error on our part -- until I talked to another customer whose booking.com reservation had mysteriously not been registered, resulting in her paying an extra $20 for her room. It was probably still the cheapest motel in town, but I certainly would have misgivings about staying there again, and would CERTAINLY not stay there if travelling alone. This is probably the most disgusting place that we have ever stayed in. Room smells terrible, towels have stains on them and if you walk around barefooted, your feet will turn black almost immediately from the filthy dirty carpet. We stayed in room 101. Right next to the stairway, very noisy. Also an appliance in the room under the stairwell kept coming on. Very noisy. Also WiFi is absolutely worthless. Enough said. The story goes on. Told the man at the desk the next morning & he agreed to move us across the hall to room 102. Great. We went out for the day & got back about 4:30. Door key (card) wouldn't work. Locked out. Went to the front desk. Lady was very rude. Said we couldn't stay in that room. Had 2 queen beds. Needed them for tour group coming in. The guy was very nice & accommodating. He helped us move our things to the second floor, room 244. Floor was discussing filthy. (See pic of washcloth I rubbed on the carpet just a couple of times). Rods sticking out from under the bed. Put cups on them so no one would injure themselves. See pic. Has a recliner but it was filthy & had holes in it. See pic. We will definitely NOT stay at this hotel again. read more

Where to start. My family stopped here on our way back from Missouri, and thought this would be a decent place based on the positive reviews we read and the location, it's right off the freeway. We should have paid more attention to the negative reviews as they were the most accurate. We had to change rooms 3 times. Our first room wasn't cleaned, and the toilet was broken in the second. We get to our nonsmoking room and all you could smell was smoke and must. Didn't even use the shower, the tub was black and the shower curtain had brown looking stains all over it. The carpet had a sticky substance in it next to the nightstand which was totally gross. I also noticed in the other bad reviews that people spoke of a unlocked side door, which we had the pleasure of being right next to. It slammed shut SO loud on multiple occasions (late at night mind you) that it scared the crap out of us all. Onto other room issues, and these could have been because the walls are so thin you could hear everything. The people staying above us sounded like they were bowling all night. Loud thumps, dropping heavy items, running back and forth. The people next to us had the TV so loud I could make out every single thing they were watching, plus I could hear their kids bouncing on the beds. We also heard people thumping up/down the stairs as well. This was all between 6:00pm - 12:30am....which is when we decided enough was enough and we packed our things and left. Just couldn't do it, no one got any sleep and it wasn't worth it to stay. Inexpensive, sure, but you get what you pay for. We should have gone the extra 50-60 miles and stopped in Flagstaff. read more

JUST SAY NO AND DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We are moving cross country and have had one problem after another. When the rental truck was broken down on the side of the road we cancelled the reservation we had because we knew we would never make it that far. We pushed the distance with this hotel and made the reservation at 10pm. We didn't arrive until 4:00am and we were told check in was at 3:00pm and they only check people in at 3:00pm, she told us that at least 15 times. This is a Rodeway Inn in the middle of nowhere, not the place where you vacation for a week. Granted we woke her up when we check into the complete unlocked building so i can understand the attitude. She made a point of telling us check out was at 11:00, almost as many times as she told us that she only check people in at 3:00pm. We have been driving for 12 hours and we had a reservation were we just supposed to sleep in the car and rental truck? HORRIBLE SERVICE! We are going to drive 13 hours today to make up for the lost time so we are not going to go sightseeing for a few hours. Then at 9:00am someone knocks and immediately opens the door to see if we were still here. We were not even awake enough to register someone knocked in the door and check out is not until 11:00am, or is this something the days shift is unaware of. I contacted Choice Hotels corporate. They are useless! The hotel is franchised so Choice Hotel can not control the product they are selling. Go some where else if you have any other option and definitely don't show up after 3:00pm. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly. Stay at a Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn, the are much better options! Update, the housekeeper came back at 10:30. If I had more time I would call the police. But we have a 13 hour drive today. Seriously don't stay here!!!! read more

The good: Room was generally clean and well kept, price was reasonable, availability was good, pet friendly, but they do charge $10 for pets, the A.C. was very powerful and kept the room cool The bad: Intermixing smoking and nonsmoking rooms was a stupid idea as we smelled smoke all night in our nonsmoking room, mold in shower, the room needs some serious TLC--patching of holes, window broken (would not close), replacing stained sheets, etc.-- window looked out on sketchy alley where smokers liked to hang out The ugly: breakfast was beyond vile--the eggs were cold (even in the warming dish), Belgium waffle maker worked fine, but the syrup container was nasty because it was so sticky, the OJ was nothing more than orange colored water, toaster didn't work, we got there before 7:00 (one other person there) and there was no "OJ", little milk, 1 fork, everything was poorly stocked and no one seemed interested in replenishing it until I went to the front desk and asked... on the plus side, the cereal dispenser pre-chewed your cereal for you. read more
