The water wasn't very hot/ more luke warm. They ran out of food the second week i was there for almost a week. The guy went to the hotel next door to borrow food for breakfast. Now the good. The room was clean and spacious The bed was comfortable Never saw any bugs Hotel is in a good location/ close to stores ect The folks who work there are very nice and helpful especially Ryan/front desk and Patricia/kitchen There is always someone at the front desk. I simply love old places with history so this was right up my alley! The Como Inn is a full featured experience. Fully stocked with wonderful food, in an old building with multiple super comfy rooms. Check in/check out times are flexible which I also found as a nice Southern touch! Just use your manners. :-) The owners are just good, kind southern folk. If I didn't have to be in the wedding, I would have been just fine sitting out on the back great patio and shooting the sh*t with them. One thing to note, there is a long, shotgun staircase up to the room level so be aware of that should you have elderly or other similar needs. I consider myself old in my 50s and it is indeed a haul, but waits for you at the top of the stairs is an awesome experience! As far as the nearbys... plenty of food options from pub grub to Thia and Mexican and a steak house that clearly must be something because there were a line of people a block long wanting to get in there! There's also a store a few blocks up with all your basic needs including alcohol. I honestly wish we would have had more than one night and a rushed schedule as I could see myself spending an entire weekend trip there just to chill and we plan to do just that. It is ridiculous to expect a guest to pay full price for a room in this condition. Regardless of the location, guests deserve a sanitary environment, and this stay fell far below any reasonable standard. I can honestly say that I never intend to stay at this hotel again. You need to do better for your guests. I promise you the CEO or the FCO or the COO. Would never live in this type of condition. Never so why should we pay a monthly fee or weekly fee or daily fee to live in this type of condition? While there are making millions off the guess. I'm living in the fancy homes in mansions. They want us to live like this. Give the hotels a great 5 or fours and walk away. I don't say nothing with this. We need to do better this is ridiculous. This should not be. It's obvious a lot of work went into them, the attention to detail is incredibly impressive. I mean they even decorated them in the Vintage fashion to the exact details of the era. Very Impressive. It was definitely a labor of love that went into this place. It's just breathtakingly beautiful in the morning fog & the sunsets are legend from this place. The "Delta" cabin is our fave, we love the back screened in porch. It's a shack, they are all just little shacks, but it's the most adorable shacks EVER. haha. "PLEASE BUILD MORE DELTA CABINS" I can't get reservations for my fave shack!!! LOL There are no tv's or anything it's just a shack, you're basically glamping so bring everything you need, especially bedding if you want to sleep a little more posh. That's what we do. The coolest thing here is the juke joint & blues bar that has live music. You can't even get a room here when the festival is going on. The door has an electric keypad that guests have access to via a code. Once upstairs, the suites are amazing, and every one has a "blues-inspired" vibe. My family rented 4 suites, and we were able to move freely throughout all suites as if we were all under one roof. The set up was very conducive to our needs, and the price was just right. There is no "front desk", or staff onsite, but that was not a problem as we were provided all the necessary information in advance. Since the space was close to dining and entertainment, I'd definitely recommend it for your next visit to Clarksdale.
