The cleanliness of the room was completely unacceptable, specifically the bathroom. Both the toilet and the tub were disgusting. The toilet appeared as though it had not been properly cleaned or updated since the hotel was built, with significant buildup around the rim. The floors and the overall state of the bathroom were similarly revolting. I have taken photos of these conditions and would be happy to provide them as evidence of the state of the room. It is ridiculous to expect a guest to pay full price for a room in this condition. Regardless of the location, guests deserve a sanitary environment, and this stay fell far below any reasonable standard. I can honestly say that I never intend to stay at this hotel again. You need to do better for your guests. I promise you the CEO or the FCO or the COO. Would never live in this type of condition. Never so why should we pay a monthly fee or weekly fee or daily fee to live in this type of condition? While there are making millions off the guess. I'm living in the fancy homes in mansions. They want us to live like this. Give the hotels a great 5 or fours and walk away. I don't say nothing with this. We need to do better this is ridiculous. This should not be. A condition of a hotel, will you have to leave your head? I use the bathroom or the ironing board or the iron. I would not recommend this hotel in this condition. Do better test, do better. read more

We ended up here after walking in and out of OYO. The price was fair for a Saturday night unexpected reservation. The lobby was clean, modern and comfortable. There is a small store for snacks. Coffee and tea options in lobby with a nice relaxing sitting area with a large flat screen tv. The inside corridor provided a warm temperature compared to the outside cold. Hallways had clean modern carpet and decor. The room provided a couch, desk and king size bed. Two large windows and 60-65 inch flat screen on a swivel stand to view from living room or bedroom. Large open area with mini fridge, coffee maker, blow dryer and pump style body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Hot breakfast buffet offering eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, bread goods, oatmeal,, cereal and yogurts. With a large area to eat and catch the news. I thought this was a very comfortable, affordable and enjoyable stay. We will stay here whenever we come through Grenada. read more

This Hampton Inn has a lot going for it. The staff is friendly and nice, with the exception of front desk clerk Jasmine. It was disappointing to see the floors in the hall dirty with left over trash and cups, but by the next morning the was gone. There were two people on the desk at 4pm, it did seem like they could have walked down the halls and checked instead of visiting with each other. Over all it's a descent Hampton Inn. read more

The two main criteria for a good hotel is bed comfort at night, bold coffee in the morning. The GOOD: Comfortable bed with washable covers, comfortable sheets, and extra pillows--THE reason this rating is not a one star. Good spacious working elevators. Tasteful decor. Easy check in & check out. The DISAPPOINTING: Free breakfast's coffee choices were "light coffee, hot water, and decaf. Staff's excuse for not putting BOLD coffee into the coffee pot marked "BOLD: they were not allowed to add Bold to their buffet, because they were getting ready for an inspection and were not allowed to have such variety. Insufficient labor to manage "all this variety": 1 of the 2 waffle mix containers were empty; blueberry waffle mix made soft pliable waffles. The sausage links were served cold and tasted awful. Worst of all, deserving of a one-star rating: cleanliness is suspect: We all got sick after eating the "free" breakfast here. Bathroom floor under the toilet had dried up drippings. read more

Stayed in town for one night for my son's band event and we were so pleased with our stay! Staff was friendly, checkout was later than usual and breakfast too - we were able to sleep in and not rush. We had a king suite and our room was very spacious (my husband and I and our 9 month baby), quiet, and clean. Would stay here again. read more

I would never step foot in this hotel again. I reserved this hotel after driving for 12 hours so I really needed a restful night. At check-in, the front desk employee was pleasant but not forthcoming about the issues we were to encounter. The first issue was the brown water coming from the taps. I called down and was told it was the whole town and all we had to do was run the water for a while. I can understand when things happen outside of your control but this was something I should've been informed of at check-in. If that wasn't bad enough, the second issue is worse. While we were running the water at night we noticed the water was not hot but assumed it was from everyone clearing the pipes. Never assume! When I went to take a shower in the morning I find there there is still no hot water. This time I decide I need to speak face to face with someone. I find out from another guest on the elevator that there is no hot water in the building. Another important piece of information we should have been provided. I would not have stayed in a hotel I couldn't wash my face, brush my teeth or taken a shower to prepare for a second long day of driving. There are plenty of Hampton Inns on I-55 and should have been told about the issues at this hotel before going to the room so I could go to one of the others. Let your customers make an informed decision! This hotel would not have rated more than a 3 on a good day. I did receive a full refund of the points I had redeemed but I would have rather spent money/points to enjoy a brief hotel visit. read more

Our family was in town for a memorial service for our loved one and we were pleased with this hotel. The property was clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast/coffee was decent. The hotel is near the highway and it sits in the same parking lot as Walmart and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. read more

This was a very nice hotel. There are the basics like a small gym and pool. Breakfast was hot and ready on time. Because of Covid, a server had to fix the plates but you were allowed to get whatever you wanted. The room was very clean and the AC kicked out some really cold air. The employees were all friendly and accommodating. I like that this hotel was pretty much right off the interstate but far enough away so that the sound of passing vehicles didn't keep me up at night. read more

I took a recent trip to Mississippi and found one of the three Hamptons in the state.... sadly, I could only get reservations at two of them on the drive by. Who knew that Mississippi was the travel capital of the South... during the middle of the week. "The Good" - The room was clean. - The staff was polite. - Bed was the new style (like the commercials) soft and you fall asleep before your head hits the pillow. - They had a vacancy. I would suggest making a reservation as far in advance as possible, although not always possible, in Mississippi... its needed. - They had the standard free breakfast and to go bags. - Relatively easy to find (although there is a duplicate entry on Yelp at the moment) "The Meh" - There was nothing Meh... but nothing that made it special either. Although you cannot check in due to the address being funky. "The Bad" - Nothing really bad to comment on... read more

Impressive rooms! The room I stayed in actually is a suite: couch, refrigerator, microwave, and a desk. A lot of space and comfortable. I've stayed here for both business and pleasure and have been satisfied both times. Good location right off the Interstate with easy access to convenient stores and restaurants. I do not stay in this area often, but when I do I stay at this Hampton Inn. read more

This was a nice Hampton Inn - super clean and very pleasant staff. Best part of the visit was walking into our room and it was COOL! Usually we have to crank the AC down and hope for the best. Beds were quite comfy. Plenty of water pressure in the shower too. (That's important for me). Breakfast was standard free breakfast fare but definitely fresh and tasty. Great spot to stop read more

We traveled to Grenada for a family wedding which I thought would have been a very remote small town...not at all. This Hampton is very clean and the staff extremely helpful and courtesy. Rooms are very well kept and the beds are oh so comfy! The area is quiet and nice located near a Walmart and several fast food places. No need to go out for breakfast. Their continental breakfast has been the best I have visited. Fresh fruit every morning, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, muffins, ceareal....you get the idea. Nothing was stale or cold. Although we weren't here for it they do have fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. The pool was not available while we were here and I am guessing because of all the rain has caused it to turn a little green but it is a nice area to relax in. Thanks to the whole staff at Grenada Hampton Inn!!!! read more

We stopped here on our way home from Fort Morgan. Staff could not be friendlier! Location is perfect right off highway next to a few spots for dinner ( you can get ale out from the BBQ place up the street) Beds were comfortable and our receptionist made sure the crib was in the room before we arrived! Thanks Hampton Inn Grenada:) read more

This is the best hotel in town. The only one that comes close to comparing to it is the Holliday Inn. Great access to the highway and close to a Walmart. The rooms are very nice with a great office space. They actually not only wash the sheets but the comforters as well after every guest. The staff was very helpful and nice. The lounge area in the front is very nice and makes for a great hangout with family and friends. The price is a little higher then the others in town, but you get what you pay for. The common areas are immaculate and the continental breakfast has a great selection. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is the pool area was closed and I ran into problems with the computers and printers in the business center. When I pay my money I expect full access to all the amenities. read more

If you're planning to stay a few days, bring plenty of clothes! I've been here for over a week and the guest laundry room has had a sign on the door the entire time stating that the washer is broken. I asked about it, but apparently nobody here has any plans to repair it. They told me that they have a laundry service that can do my laundry. No choice since there isn't a laundromat anywhere close. Next morning I take my laundry to the front desk. They say it will be done by afternoon. After a twelve hour work day, I come back to the hotel and they hand my clothes back - NOT CLEANED. That's when they decide to tell me that they don't do laundry on weekends. So I have to wait until Monday. I'm out of clean clothes, so I have to buy more. The only place to buy them late at night is Walmart. Terrific. Cheap crap. So Monday morning I drop off my laundry. This time they actually cleaned it, but it's just shoved into a bag. So I have to iron everything. They charged $25 for crappy laundry service and it came back missing one sock and a pair of underwear. Other than that, the free breakfast is HORRIBLE and the cleaning crew does NOT do a very good job. They leave the used washcloth laying on the shower floor almost every day. I'll be in town for a few more weeks, but I'm getting out of this place!! Update! It took a few days to get out of this hotel, so I needed to do laundry again. The guest washing machine is STILL not fixed! So I had the hotel do my laundry again. This time it came back missing a sock (again) and they didn't return my laundry bag! The Holiday Inn has rooms available now, so I moved this morning. read more

This is a really nice hotel. All the staff are wonderful!! They all greet you or ask how you are doing or if you need anything. On day of check out a staff member came to the room to make sure I didn't need anything before I checked out. Everything is really clean. The breakfast was great and coffee was always ready! I noticed some water damage in the ceiling above the shower on level 3, and in the hallway on level 4. Also, I personally did not like the bedspreads. They seemed scratchy to me. All of the pillows were soft, instead of some firm and some soft. We stayed in a 2 bed queen room. I'm not sure if that changes things with the pillows. read more

We were very impressed with this hotel. I booked through Booking.com and was given what I thought was the best rate, unfortunately, it ended up being 100.00 more per night than it would have been had I just booked when I walked in the door. I felt frustrated that I wasn't offered a partial refund from the hotel since I explained the situation, but I'm sure that wasn't their fault. As far as the hotel goes.. wonderful. The desk clerk was super friendly, and we were welcomed with warm, fresh baked cookies, and coffee and fruit. They have a lovely workout room but we weren't there long enough to enjoy any of the amenities, we were only there overnight. Our room was HUGE. It was a king size suite and it was offered at the same rate as the regular double room. It was so big and comfortable. The one thing that I did not like was, it took FOREVER it seemed for the water to heat up and it would go back and forth on hot and cold. It was very quiet and just lovely. Usually when we stay at a hotel, it's so loud and you can hear people constantly opening and slamming their doors and the walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING, that was simply not the case here. It was very quiet, very clean and just a lovely place. I was very sick the night we arrived, so I didn't get to enjoy things as much as I would have liked, but we did enjoy their FREE breakfast the next morning. They had lots of choices, including english muffins which is what i normally have at home with my coffee and fruit. If I had to make a suggestion, I would say, don't use canned fruit, it's full of sugar and some of us can't have that :-) it's pretty easy to offer fresh fruit like strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, watermelon and honeydew melon. Also, maybe think about offering some different types of english muffins and bagels, seasonal would be lovely and live up to the amazing quality of everything they offer. All in all, it was great though. They offered all different kinds of coffee, including different flavored seasonal liquid coffee mate. They have an attendant at the breakfast area and she was so friendly and helpful. She would get you anything you wanted. It really made us feel valued as guests and definitely would return to this hotel. read more

I wanted to reserve a room at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Grenada to attend my family reunion in Mississippi, but our group's discount code had expired. I performed a Google search and found a room at a reasonable, non-refundable discount rate. I reserved the room, received the confirmation, and somehow inadvertently cancelled the room. I immediately called customer service to get the room reinstated, and learned that Expedia.com handled the reservation. I explained that I didn't want to cancel the room, but was told that there was nothing they could do because the room rate was non-refundable. It looked like I was going to have to pay $400 for a $200, 2-night stay to attend my family's reunion. Mistakes happen, and anyone could click on the wrong link. I couldn't believe Expedia's only response was "Sorry, but there's nothing I can do." It took pestering the customer service rep to give me someone else I could talk to that the finally told me to try calling Hampton directly. This experience does have a happy ending because of the excellent customer service provided by Alanna Sonnier, Director of Sales with the Hampton Inn & Suites. I wasn't getting any where with Expedia so I called Alanna who immediately took the lead and contacted Expedia directly. She was able to secure my reservation at a discounted rate and, in fact, saved my vacation. Alanna (and Hampton), you're the best! read more
