I have been to other Roadways and hated them! But this one is different. This Roadway was impeccably clean. Sylvia did our room btw. The room was basically sparkling it was so clean. And this hotel is pretty cheap. There was plenty of parking. The staff was nice. The place was clean. This is a great place to stay! read more

We absolutely loved this place. The people are very nice, the room was clean and it was very quiet. There is a diner in the complex and a bar down the street. The motel is owned by the same family for 40 years and is impeccably maintained. We met the granddaughter of the man who built the lodge at dinner. The hotel itself was conveniently located and had plenty of food, shopping and other things to do nearby. The restaurant in the parking lot was delicious and super convenient. Nice clean room, but a lot of little problems. First night AC not working, but got fixed for rest of stay. No lights in back of building rooms early in morning when still pitch black. Worse was gym elliptical machine room not open until 10:00! People workout in morning and should open at 5 or 6, not 10. 2014 and no HDTV? The good... clean room. Bed pretty comfortable, and pillows ok. Continental breakfast, nothing fancy, but fine. Very friendly and pleasant staff. Great location, and a lot of parking. Parking a little tight in back though. If you want a clean comfortable room, it's fine, but has a few issue's that need to be addressed. read more

Sad To See It So Run Down. Over priced and very run down. The beds gave me a back pain, the place was very drafty, so it never stayed warm. Plus it was very noisy being so close to the main road. The continental breakfast was very cheap and nasty, nothing really to eat their. Their are plenty of places to stay in this wonderful town, just not this place. Great rooms. Clean accommodations very courteous staff. Food was great at the restaurant. But - make sure you check out in time. There is no room for extenuating circumstances such as inclement weather or road conditions. They will charge you for late check out. The manager will do nothing to come to an amicable agreement. This motel has a beautiful exterior, log cabin style, river is at the back of the property. As for the rooms, ours smelled less than great and it was "typical" for a roadside motel in size and amenities. We paid $89 for a room near the river. Service is the reason we won't ever return, the woman working the desk acted like checking in was a burden, we asked for a king and got doubles. The hotel info offered free cribs, she tried to charge me $10 extra ( which I did not pay) and when I asked for 2 extra pillows she seemed pissed and was rude. If it wasn't for the terrible customer service I would recommend this place. There is an on-site restaurant that serves American "down-home" Style food that is pretty good, avg about $10-$15 per entree. read more

I stay here a couple years ago after getting caught in a snow storm. Being a young lady traveling on my own, I was very impressed when the front desk clerk called my room to make sure I made it in okay. The rooms are very nice and clean. Stayed here last year and enjoyed it so we reserved again on trip to the Parks. It is an older property but was clean, good service, nice landscaping, and neat restaurants down the street so we booked again for this summer. Smaller room than last year. The deadbolt lock would not lock. Barely able to dry off in the little bathroom after bathing. Mattress uncomfortable. At check in, the attendant mentioned continental breakfast and also the restaurant adjacent to the motel. She was to give us a Guest Discount Coupon for breakfast at the restaurant.....we found out after presenting our room key at the restaurant. Both the restaurant and the motel person at checkout just let us leave. Felt cheated and unappreciated by both businesses. read more

We will probably not return here. We slept well. The beds were comfortable enough, but the carpet was filthy, and we found the remains of food on the floor( fried mushroom, we think). There also was a strong cleanser odor in the room that was offensive. We had to get a scented candle that evening to mask it. The furniture was old and I hate those old nappy brown covers. Most updated motels and hotels have gone to a white plain comforter. We did not shower that night-- so cannot critique that. The bathroom area was clean. The receptionist was nice and business- like and was going to report the food findings. She was willing to put us up in a different room, but we were afraid it would just be more of the same, so we opted to just put up with it. read more

Couldn't check in early, which was ok. When I did check in, there was no one at the desk and I waited for several minutes until someone finally showed up. The clerk seemed incapable of getting my AAA number right and insisted my number didn't exist even though I told her age left off the last number until I gave her my card to see the number. The power outlets were very lose so I had to keep checking that my chargers hadn't fallen out. Otherwise, nice facility and was a welcome rest after a long day of traveling. read more

Stayed with family of six in two rooms with two queen beds. Rooms were big, beds comfortable, nice having refrigerator and microwave. We enjoyed taking a dip in the hot tub. Breakfast in the morning was satisfying. Would stay there again. Down stairs rooms are close to hot tub and ice room. read more

I'd definitely recommend The Pronghorn to anyone visiting the area. Also... the river runs along the west side of the property with a walkway down to the water. They were offering $5 coupons to guests for breakfast at the cafe which was nice for those who prefer a hot breakfast over continental style breakfast. We stopped here after a horrible experience with another facility. The staff was very helpful and polite. The rooms are clean and spacious and well stocked with all the comforts needed in a room. There is a hot tub on site and a river along the back great for fishing. There is a continental breakfast but you also receive vouchers to the restaurant on site for a hot meal! I wish they had an indoor pool. I enjoyed the look of the log cabin style outside! I will definitely return and recommend this place read more

I called a local Lander Chamber member and he recommended two places in town...the newest and the best value. I called both places and The Pronghorn was $40 bucks less expensive so I checked it out and was really pleased with the clean rooms and friendly staff. It's walking distance from the downtown restaurants and I was grateful I was steered in this direction. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in Lander. read more
