Okay okay..so I may have spoken a little too soon (SN: While making my previous review I had 2 pleasant stays in the same exact room but this current review is based off my next 3 stays) 3rd Stay: Upon entering the room my boyfriend and I discovered we had no fridge, no microwave and our beds were super low to the ground. We had gotten there around 3:30 and decided to ask if we could switch rooms. The man was polite but informed us that there were no rooms available. Okay fine, so we asked if we could switch perhaps later on once the other rooms were finished being cleaned. Again we were told that there was nothing he could do. I was slightly annoyed but we went on with our day having to heat up our food in the lobby microwave and grabbing a bucket of ice to keep our beverages cold. Okay, fine...worse things have happened. 4th Stay: It was a Friday afternoon and I had decided to call at 2 PM to book a room. No one answered my calls so I had decided to just give up. I called again at 5 PM and lucky lucky due to someone canceling I was able to book a room. Everything was smooth sailing until I was quoted "$160". Mind you..the most I had ever paid was $120. When I questioned the price I was told that the prices do not stay the same. I paid the $160 and when I got to the room the picture on the TV was going in and out and when we requested maintenance we were told there was no one on site. 5th Stay: this was the most recent stay. It wasn't bad but again the picture on the TV was going in and out and I had accidentally booked an accessible room and once again when asked if we could move we were told they were all out. What a dump... Me: Business traveler with 100 plus(yes that reads 100) nights a year. This place was by far the worst for 2017 and probably 2016 too. While the FB page shows remodeled rooms, my room 236 looked nothing like that. Upon entering couldn't get the lights to turn on. When I finally got them on I discovered my room had 4 lamps but only 2 were plugged in, there was no outlets for the other two. That included the one on the bed nightstand. Guess spending $5 on an extension cord was asking too much. The a/c is an Emerson(thats OLD) window unit(see photo) that took a long time to cool down the room. Wifi is non existing the connection was beyond slow and never connected. The bathroom(see photo) is beyond small one lightbulb was burned out. Glad I am short and skinny. After my bathroom adventure, the shower works fine, I went down for breakfast at 6.30AM. The coffee thermos in the lobby was empty and then taken away by the night clerk(see photo) and never replaced. The breakfast area was dark. The only sign there said closed at 10pm. As all I wanted was a bowl for my self brought breakfast items I entered. Thats when the night clerk who claimed to be the owner had a fit screaming at me and one other guy that the area doesn't open til 7AM and no one tells him any different. So we waited til 7AM so much for an early work start. When the area opened at 7AM there was no hot water for tea, no decaf coffee or sugar. It did have regular coffee but not very hot. The attendant maybe spoke and understood 5 words of english. By the time I got to check out the night clerk/owner? had left so thank God didn't have to deal with him again. This was the most disgusting place anyone can stay in. It was dirty, dirty people hanging outside. And in order for you to get an extra towel you had to bring the dirty ones downstairs. Then they had a nerve to try and charge me twice for the stay for one night. Gross read more

When we arrived at Rodeway Inn we went to the assigned room and outside of the room were three people who appeared either drunk or high sitting on towels in bathing suits (one was showing her private parts by the way she was sitting) in front of our door. We immediately went to the service desk and asked for another room. We waited for 2 hours for a new room. It looked like skid row and we were already disgusted. The new room smelled like urine by the air conditioner. We called every local motel/hotel with less than a $250. per night charge but it was Labor Day so we stayed where we were. We did not spend any time other than sleeping the first night. The second night we woke up at 2 AM and left we were so angry. It was disgusting. The total for two nights ($400) for one queen room, with three pillows, smelly space, nothing I have ever experienced in my life. NEVER NEVER book at this Rodeway Inn in Mystic CT. read more

I've stayed here before and this was a great hotel for what it is. It isn't a top notch hotel so don't expect anything spectacular. So I planned my trip to Brockton and spoke to the hotel a week in advance in regards to my plans. I called and ask a gentlemen and the lady in the office if I can get early check in because I would land and arrive by 3AM. They were all cool until I actually got there and the whole game changed. No notes were left on my reservation as they said it would. So now with a 9month and a 4 yr old coming from Florida this was very very annoying and disappointing. So I ended up paying for a day before my actual reservation. To make matters worse, the room is suppose to have a fridge .... none in it. Looks like someone came and ripped it out , no phone to call customer service, toilet clogged after every flush..... Even their local number doesn't work when calling them. This hotel has gone down tremendously and it's sickening. I could of stayed at the Marriott across the road for $40 more. This what I get for trying to support other none top tier hotels. The worst situation I have ever been in. It cost me $200 for the night. I was told there was on sight parking and shuttle to the airport every hour on the hour. Come to find punt the hotel is in the shabbiest area there could be, the shuttle service starts at 4 am. Not all night and parking is $18 per night and I need to leave my keys with these skeevey people! I wish there were an option for 0 stars. read more

The room looked nice. Nice beds but really small, awkwardly sized pillows. Staff was very friendly. When I decided to take a shower, the water pouring out was yellow!! What a disgusting sight!! But the staff was nice enough to let me take a quick shower in another unoccupied room since I was running late for an interview. If I hadn't had the water issue, would have definitely come back to stay here if ever in town. read more

I've been in a lot of hotels, this one is by far is one of the worse. There seems to be no effort made on curb appeal. The outside looks old. As you walk into the lobby, you are greeted by the smell of dampness, dust and stuffiness. The carpet is dirty and walls looked like they were last painted in the 80's. My room had a leak from in the ceiling, when we told the front desk, we were told the handyman was not available. During our three day stay, we noticed the carpet in the room was wet and had a fouled odor. Unfortunately for us, the other hotels in the area did not have any rooms available. Never again will I ever step foot in this place. read more

Ghetto . There's definitely a drug dealer who is in some kind of thing with the staff cause he sits around and sells drugs outside all day and night . I know he's dealing drugs because he is very obvious about it . Bed was clean . No amenities as the other bad reviews say . Tiny little couch pillows as well . One star as there isn't a lower rating. If you want to sleep Go elsewhere No chairs no fridge no cups none of the regular stuff you expect. I.e. Phone alarm clock lots of shady characters around. Not really a good deal as we Don't want to stay and we've already paid I would like to update and state that the staff are all excellent. Apparently the place has new owners only 3 days in and the previous owners wiped out most items. So to be fair the staff was as accommodating as they could be the bed was very comfortable and the location is very convenient We had no issues with noise after the first night just normal noise. read more

Rooms were decently clean, and the shower was very nice. The guy at the front desk in the morning when we checked in was a bit rude, but the night front desk person was very nice. The place looked a bit ghetto, and although the room was clean it did have a hole in the ceiling and the blankets were itchy and smelt a little weird. The breakfast was mediocre it was just some pastries, bread/bagels, and some fake eggs and sausage. It wasn't much and tasted old. Despite these issues, it is really cheap and I'd stay again just because it's cheap and close to Boston. read more

Sucked!!!! I went there at 230 in the morning after a long drive and asked to sleep the afternoon but they wouldnt start the new day until 3 o clock only a half hour dif. Then they wanted to charge insane money to have me out by 12. 9 hours lol after i said it was ridiculous but was extremely tired and said id do it the man (boy) at the counter said he didnt want me to check in lol and refused me service.... Took my ass up the street 2 min near the mall to a much cleaner looking place also cheaper also where i could check out much later .....i would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good place to sleep.... Also lots pf druggies hanging out around wouldnt bring children there DISGUSTING. read more

This is hands down the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. If you are considering staying here - do yourself a favor and run away. This hotel is dirty, its smells, and the locks to your room don't even work. If you do manage to get a refrigerator, don't bother storing anything in it - mine broke down in the middle of the night and let my food spoil. Also, forget about noise control. It took me four calls to the front desk to get them to finally quiet down a girls basketball team partying near me. Don't come here if you value piece of mind and want a restful stay. read more

Worse hotel experience EVER! I honestly did not expect much, so that it was worse than I expected is quite sad to say the least. I was on a budget and figured I needed something decent (i.e. clean, courteous staff, and safe). This hotel did not fill any of those things. The staff, one in particular, was obnoxious and not helpful AT ALL. I had reserved 7 rooms for my family who were all in town for a wedding. Each room had a problem. Leaks, flooded bathroom upon arrival, horrible odors from the bathroom, cigarette burns in sheets, issues with the reservation (despite literally at least 5 calls to make sure everything was set), horrible decor, filthy hallways, poor satellite reception, no manager or maintenance available the entire weekend, and the list goes on and on. I was not able to speak to a manager until almost a week after leaving the hotel and that was only because I literally called incessantly. Long story short, NEVER stay at this place. Unfortunately for Quality Inn, this particular hotel makes me never want to use a Quality Inn ever again. read more

By far the worst hotel I've ever seen. Came here with my two children while traveling. Once I ventured beyond the front desk, I had immediately contemplated requesting a refund. Carpet was stained (and smelled) something fierce, lights were flickering. Walked into a nonsmoking room which reeked of smoke and went straight to the desk. The clerk brought me to the only other room available which smelled of freshly toked ganja. Normally wouldn't have bothered me, but my kids were present. Just a warning from someone who just spent a night here. This place is the last place anyone wants to stay!!! It stinks of sigaretts and pot. But is a non smoking facility? Nothing about this place is clean, from floor to ceiling. Staff members are not on time. Wanted to check out at 10 am no one was at the front desk until about 10:45 am . I saw mice in my room, pour TV reception, noise all night. I overheard a drug deal in the lobby while I was waiting to check out. I would have been better off sleeping in my car. There is no breakfast, no coffee maker in room and the pool is closed. Unsafe feeling I did not even take a shower or sit on on the toilet. This place should be closed and rebuilt from the ground up. I would not send my worst enemy here. That being said, does not come close to describing the situation. Someone who can do something with this place should feel a moral responsibility to do so. I decided to get a room in this dump for a few days without knowing what I was getting myself into. Totally different from the online pictures/videos. Soon as I walked in my room I was disgusted ! It smelled HORRENDOUS in the room, the bed sheets had "burnt marks" on them. No chairs, no phone in room, no cups just a bed maybe 1-2 towels and a tv that barely works. I immediately asked staff to please move me to a different room, I am pregnant and I could not stand the smell. Once moved to another room it was all pretty much the same crap. Later on I noticed the back door of hall way outside my room which had a sign "taped" to it from the outside saying "emergency exit, not an entrance please keep close use front door" WAS NEVER LOCKED! From the outside you were able to come right on in. At that point I didn't feel safe for myself or my boyfriend. As my visit continues I had an issue with staff members who were the most rude, unprofessional people including the manager I've ever seen. Front desk girl disrespected me while on duty, called me names and threatened to kick me out when I simply asked her a question and I told her she was unprofessional. WORST EXPERINCE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. The entire building smelled like marijuana and cigarettes, let alone the sketchy people hanging out, outside and in the main lobby. Parking lot was pitch black. This place needs to be shut down, its disgusting, beyond dirty, staff is HORRIBLE. No professionalism at all. I highly advice you DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY COMING TO THIS TRASH BARRIAL. NEVER STAY HERE! This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Manager is rude and doesn't care once they take your money. The room smelled of urine and mold. Bugs were coming out of the drains in the bathroom. The whole building was gross and run down and not in a very good area. It was nothing like the pictures when we were booking. We left immediately and asked for a refund. The manager agreed, but it wouldn't go back into my account for 3-5 days. Luckily we had extra money for a different hotel or else we would be stuck there. Then when I looked at my bank account, there were $200 in additional charges! The manager said that was part of the refund process and it all would go back once the refund processed. I started having it out with her because that makes no sense. She was talking over me and wouldn't let me talk. I told her she was being rude and she hung up on me. I called Choice Hotels directly and they told me they couldn't do anything other than confirm that the original amount was being refunded because they do not actually own the hotel. They said they didn't even see the additional $200 on their end. They told me to go through the hotel directly, which clearly isn't an option. do not stay here this hotel has bed bug i was there 5/13-15,2016 when got there the pillow on the bed had make up on it i asked the front desk for a new pillow or at least a pillow case they said they did not have another pillow. no extra towels i left there with bite mark i told the lady something was biting me she suggested the i was having an allergic reaction i when to the doctor they confirmed it was bed bug bites all over my body please spend the extra dollars this is the nastiest hotel ever they need to tear it down. read more

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Pulling up to the hotel should have been the first sign to turn the other way, terrible curb appeal as it is visibly falling apart from the outside. Checking in was fine the woman at the front was nice enough. The room on the other hand looked okay but the king size bed only had 4 half-size pillows, equal to maybe 2 full-size pillows, which was not nearly enough for the bed. Then, when I went to shower I noticed that they had not even removed the used soap in the shower from the guest before. GROSS. Next, we tried the TV which was advertised as HD and upon trying it the screen was incredibly fuzzy and not even worth watching. I was afraid to even sleep here and I'm glad I survived the stay and came out unscathed honestly. But then, worst of all, after this nightmare of a "day-cation" I realized that the hotel had charged me TWICE for this shithole of a room. I called and spoke to the owner who was then incredibly rude and uncooperative. If I could rate lower than one star I absolutely would. I would recommend everyone to steer clear away from this dump. read more
