Rodeo Cosmetics, located inside Rodeo Galleria, has been one of my longtime favorite cosmetics stores. I usually buy cosmetics at Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Amazon, or Sephora, but whenever I hear that they are offering a purchase-with-gift promotion, I usually rush over to one of those stores and stock up on cosmetics. I think purchase-with-gift deals are much better than simply buying cosmetics without receiving a gift. This cosmetics store occasionally sends me promotional messages about their purchase-with-gift offers through KakaoTalk. Come to think of it, whenever they send me one of those promotions, I often end up going there and buying Shiseido cosmetics. Another thing I really like about this store is their rewards program. Once you accumulate 500 points, you can use $50 toward a purchase. I had spent about $500 here over time, and I recently found out that I had earned 50 points that I could use on my next visit, so I decided to stop by today. Recently, one of the lipsticks I had received as a gift from here broke. I absolutely loved the color, but I couldn't find the same lipstick anywhere. So I went in today to see if they might still have it. Unfortunately, they didn't have the same lipstick anymore. So I used the points I had accumulated to redeem a different lip gloss and brought it home with me. But after trying it on at home, I was a little disappointed because the color didn't seem to be very similar to the one I had been looking for. Still, I really like this store because all of the employees are always so friendly whenever I visit. I just wish they would carry a wider variety of lipstick shades. Plus : When I redeemed the points I had accumulated here today, the employee had to look up my account using my date of birth, so she asked me for it. After finding my account, she told me that we were the same age and that I looked much younger than my age, which made me laugh. I told her that I've been really worried lately because I have so many wrinkles under my eyes, and I told her that she looked young too. We chatted like that for a while, and I ended up using the 500 points I had accumulated to redeem a lip gloss. read more

A tried and true institution in Koreatown! This place has existed for a long time and for good reason. The sales workers extremely knowledgeable and friendly with any questions you have. I ended up buying a skincare set for my mom and she loves it! They have a wide variety of brands from affordable to high luxury price points. I like buying face masks in bulk here. The workers at this store were super sweet and are very willing to teach you about each step that should go into your skincare routine. I purchased a few skincare products for me and my friends, and they were nice enough to throw in a lot of free samples and gifts. My personal experience here was absolutely phenomenal. Being a guy, I really don't know much about make up and all, but I needed a gift for my girlfriend and the staff helped me through everything. My personal experience with them has been good. Most recently I'd met with Monica for help with eye concealer and make-up primer. I ended up buying a higher end product than my usual budget, but it did look good. A couple days later I realized the shade of under eye concealer was too dark. I had a sinking feeling that they were not going to like any returns or exchanges, because they are generous with samples and it's not a large store like Nordstroms. But Monica was lovely and even though I had opened the new product at home (which is how I'd realized it was the wrong shade for my skin), she did take it back. She explained that they did not have my correct shade in stock and will call me when in comes in (in about a week) for an even exchange. I've been buying Shiseido from them for a few years and really happy with their sales people. read more

On 6/15/21 I was charged for cosmetic products. I was only in LA for a coupe hours during a layover and couldn't take the products on my carry on and was told they would be shipped and should arrive at my home before we were to return from or trip on 6/19. Upon our return they had not been shipped and I proceeded to reach out to Rodeo Cosmetics. Unfortunality I quickly realized I had been duped by a fraudulent company. I've left numerous voicemails with no return call, I have reached someone on the phone and they answer the phone in English but when I start to explain why I'm calling they switch to another language and pretend they don't understand me. Since the cosmetics that I used were done, I went out to buy new ones. The workers here are just so good at making the cosmetic items sould so good. BUT didn't really work out for me. I got despicable irritations on my face for like two weeks. They offered me that those MIGHT not be my type and offered me another ones. Um..... NOPE. I just been there today to purchase make up cream, I have been there since 2010... They always said and made note that if we purchase all the products reach $500 they will give us $50 rewards to purchase anything in the store. But mine is already reached that amount long time ago, whenever I purchase new thing they never write note for it because they afraid that they will owe us gift. So recently i let them wrote it down and when I asked them about $50's gift they always said that NEXT TIME PURCHASE!!! So today I went there and purchased shiseido and asked them about that gift again the sales lady was very rude to me!!!! She said we never had that kind of promotion!!!! Went in to get a skin set for my 20 something son and a ginseng oil from Who. The manager, Ms. Chung was very helpful and helped me right away with the skin set selection and suggesting new essence/serums because the ginseng oil is no longer available why oh why Who...please bring it back...I love the smell and my skin loves the benefits. Anyhow, service was excellent and she gave me tons of samples of my skin regimen, a full size sample of neck cream and full size sample of essence that she would like for me to try. And tons of sample for hair shampoo and masks. You know when you go to Macy cosmetics and spend $400, $500 and they give you like 3 or 4 little samples? So sad right? Not here...they gave me so many samples that they have to tie up with little rubber bands in little bundles...always happy to come here and not all cosmetics counter are like this. I used to go to the one in Arirang market but stopped because went in one time when I ran out of an item and they refused to help me saying they're closing! Well they lost a customer. Updating my review... one of the products that was sold to me was advertised that it would last for 3 years and that's how they calculated how much I would be saving. It's also recommended to be used once a week... in LESS than a year, this product has now run out. FALSE ADVERTISING and also these products don't work. Save your money and go get Botox read more

My Mom has been going to Rodeo Cosmetics for her cosmetic needs for years now and has a "frequent membership" with them. They write down everything you purchase and award you on your birthday and when you reach certain dollar amount. I usually buy her gifts (cosmetic related) here because they have a record of everything she purchased (even from their location in OC), so it is easy for me to determine what she will be running out of soon. Apparently, there is no confidentiality when it comes to cosmetic purchases. Lol. The sales ladies here are super eager to help and friendly. They always pack tons of samples which my Mom uses when she travels. Sometimes, they can be pushy with product suggestions but I rather have overly eager yet friendly person helping me than someone with zero care. P.S. I swung by to quickly get a oil makeup remover. They were a little busy so it took a couple minutes to flag someone down, but once I did, she was fairly helpful in helping me locate what I was looking for. She ultimately recommended the Shiseido Benefique Makeup Cleansing Oil, which was $30. I bought it on the spot and later looked up prices online - the price seems to be competitive. Also, they write down your purchases and you ultimately get 10% to spend like cash in the store later on. Total rip off. Avoid this place and anyone who tries to draw you in with free samples. It's hard to believe that they can ask $1500 for eye cream, but they do and then insult your intelligence by offering a discount to $750. Outrageous. read more

I went to this shop so many times to purchase skin lotion that I like. I purchase 5 to10 bottles once I visit to this place because I can't visit often due to living in Anaheim . I asked one more item and I told sales lady that I will purchase 20 more of other items and asked for the rock bottom price since I purchase 20 more . There price was higher than other place so I wanted to buy everything at once if the price is reasonable. Suddenly other sales lady bud in ( I was not even talking to her) and show me rude attitude saying that the one I purchased from other place is old style and keep talking negatively ( she saying what I using is not a good product ). And if you have a membership acct here u can get credit towards purchases of Korean brand cosmetics. I know some of the sales lady can be rude but if you are a regular here, they will totally hook you up with samples! read more
