I engaged their services with Dauphin County Economic and development with the expectation that they would effectively address lead issues in my property. They were very easy to work with to start and everything we discussed went from great to nonexisten. However, their performance was abysmal, and I am left utterly dissatisfied, disrespected, violated, and appalled. First and foremost, Baxter Environmental's handling of the lead abatement/ encapsulation was unacceptable. They demonstrated a complete lack of expertise and professionalism in their approach. Their staff members seemed poorly trained and ill-equipped to handle the complexities associated with lead abatement. It was evident that they lacked the necessary knowledge and experience to address such a critical issue. This list was a range of issues from having the heat on during an abatement, not covering vents and carpets with plastic. Before starting they were to notify the state and did not do that resulting in a $1000.00 fine. Moreover, their response time was incredibly slow and unresponsive at times. Despite numerous attempts to contact Baxter Environmental regarding my concerns, their customer service was consistently abysmal. It felt as though my inquiries were being purposefully ignored, leaving me in a state of frustration and uncertainty. Furthermore, the work performed by Baxter Environmental was subpar at best. Their attempt to remediate the lead concerns proved to be ineffective and insufficient. I expected a thorough and comprehensive approach, but what I received was far from it. The lack of attention to detail was evident, and it appeared that corners were cut at every turn. It is disheartening to think that a company entrusted with such crucial responsibilities could show such blatant disregard for their customers' safety. Adding insult to injury, the pricing structure of Baxter Environmental was exorbitant and unjustifiable given the poor quality of their services. I expected a fair and reasonable cost (covered by HUD funds) for the work performed, but what was received was an inflated bill for substandard workmanship. It felt like all parties involved were being taken advantage of, and I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am with the entire experience. In conclusion, my experience with Baxter Environmental in Chambersburg, PA, was an absolute nightmare. Their handling of lead abatement/ encapsulation was inadequate, their response time was abysmal, and the quality of their workmanship was far below acceptable standards. I strongly advise against using their services for any lead-related issues or any other environmental concerns. The Radon test got scheduled fast. The report was emailed to us. It's a 3-day test, and it should be done in any basement. They installed the radon mitigation system in our basement. It appears to have been done well, although they could have done a slightly better job with patching the holes in the concrete as well as bracing the pipes. However, it's an unfinished basement, so I think aesthetics weren't at the top of their list on this installment. They also didn't clean up completely, there was a lot of concrete dust on the pipes. Again, unfinished basement, so I can understand. They did seem to clean up the floor well, so I really can't complain. I cannot comment on their customer service. Based on results, I'd recommend them. 3.5 stars, I rounded up to 4 since they were fast in getting things done.

As I took another step, my foot sank into the carpet, leaving behind a soggy footprint. One more step, and I could hear water sloshing beneath the carpet. Ugh, our basement was leaking! I searched for help online and found AdvantaClean of Frederick. After reading their excellent reviews, I gave them a call--and I'm so glad I did. I spoke with the owner, Dave, and it was clear that he knew exactly what he was doing. He was calm, knowledgeable, and reassuring, which helped us feel less overwhelmed. Dave got us on the schedule right away, which was such a relief. He reviewed the basement, provided us with a reasonably-priced quote and we gave him our business. He and his team arrived promptly and got right to work. Using specialized equipment, they were able to pinpoint the source of the leak. They carefully removed our water-damaged sofa along with several bags of damaged items, and they did it all with care and efficiency. They then sealed off the affected area with plastic sheeting and neatly removed the damaged drywall. Dave set up industrial fans and a dehumidifier to dry everything out over the course of several days, staying in communication with us the entire time and periodically stopping by to monitor progress. Dave is not only professional, but also has a good sense of humor and is easy to talk to. He was quick to respond to texts and answered all my questions clearly and thoroughly. If you ever find yourself in the stressful position of dealing with a water-damaged basement, I can't recommend Dave and AdvantaClean of Frederick highly enough. They truly went above and beyond.

Be wary of hiring Mold Control Services LLC- Mold Removal to investigate and/or remediate mold in…read moreyour home. I hired the company to remediate mold in my condo. Mike and his crew came to get rid of the mold, cut about 2 feet off the floor of the closet drywalls, used a fogger, and then certified that my condo was free of mold and safe to live in. However, an independent mold inspection company could not clear it. Their air test revealed the presence of mold after Mold Control Service's remediation was "complete," so I asked Mike to come back and fix/finish the job. He came and again "remediated" my unit (by using a fogger) and again certified that it was clean and safe. As it turns out, my condo was far from being mold-free or habitable. The mold was actually visible just above where Mold Control Services had stopped cutting the wall! I had to have another contractor do the work the right way. Both the closet wall the bathroom wall had to be removed. I have pictures showing the extent of the mold coverage and of what had to be done. I also have reports from 2 independent mold inspection companies and of the mold remediation companies who ended up finishing the work proving it. I do not want anyone else who is in my situation to rely on Mold Control Services and think that they will get thorough mold remediation. Think twice before you hire them.
