DeVito's is one place we always try to stop at when going through Harrison. It's sort of off the…read morebeaten path a bit, but surrounded by nature and beauty. The restaurant offers elevated seating, and the glass windows overlook a large pond and the forest. It's quite lovely. But the food is even more lovely! Some say "save the best for last," but let's start with dessert. They're homemade white and chocolate cakes are delectable. The cake itself is super moist and the icing melts in your mouth. I don't even want to talk to anyone while eating them. We usually bring a couple of pieces home too. Don't leave without trying one of them. My fave dish is the seafood already. The portions are huge and I enjoy having the leftovers for lunch the following day. My husband's fave dish is the chicken parm. Entrees come with a side salad and fresh bread, and tye lettuce is crispy and fresh each time- which I appreciate. I absolutely recommend stopping by DeVito's for lunch or dinner. And don't forget about the cake!

We ordered the Pulled Pork Combo & the Chopped Brisket Sandwich. Everything was absolutely perfect. Our server, Felicia, did an excellent job of taking care of us & the prices were quite reasonable ( 2 entrees, 2 soft drinks & a side ) for $ 39.21. Honestly this was the best BBQ we both have ever had! I highly recommend giving Razorback Ribs a try.

My husband and I were visiting the area from Illinois and as our custom is, when we travel to a new…read morearea, we began to research local barbecue spots. Carolyn's was close by and had good reviews so we decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint. We were quickly greeted and given menus and offered something to drink. Our server, Stacy, let us know right away they were out of ribs and pulled pork which was understandable since we arrived after 7 pm on a Monday evening. After perusing the menu, we decided on the brisket sandwich, sweet potato fries and coleslaw, and a meat platter with brisket and their smoked sausage which comes with two sides. We also got the spicy nips as an appetizer (sliced jalapeño peppers battered and fried to a golden brown). All the food was delicious and expertly prepared. The batter on the nips was unique and crispy and I tried to figure out what they used, but I couldn't quite make it out. They were really good and super spicy, we loved it! The meats were fresh and obviously of good quality. The brisket was perfectly smoked and had a nice rub on it and the barbecue sauce was delicious as well. The sausage they use was also very good, smokey and lean. It reminded me of a sausage I had when I was a kid, visiting my grandparents in the south. Everything we had was outstanding. So much so that we came back the next night for their brisket tacos which are served on, you guessed it, Taco Tuesday. We got there early the second day so as not to miss out on the ribs. The Saint Louis style ribs, had a nice rub and were perfectly smoked. They were served with just enough sauce so you could leave them as is or add more if you prefer more sauce. The meat was fall-off-the -bone tender, but still with enough bite to chew. The service was great too. Stacy was very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed talking with her. We also met another customer who came back the next night and said he goes there most nights for dinner. We certainly would come back frequently if we lived in the area.

I was very disappointed with our visit to Buckets Sports Bar tonight…read more The onion rings were the first letdown. The menu described them as an "onion ring tower," but what we received was far from that. The spinach dip was extremely bland and lacked flavor. I was excited to try the mango habanero ranch, but it didn't deliver at all. Honestly, most of the sauces we tried just tasted off or weird. The sidewinder fries were easily the best thing we ordered and the only item I'd recommend. The burgers were plain and tasted like they had no seasoning whatsoever. The pizza was average at best--if I was out late after a few drinks, it might have hit the spot, but otherwise it was nothing special. We spent $92 to feed our family, and it felt like a complete waste considering we didn't even eat half of the food. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience, especially for the price. I always want to support local businesses, but based on this visit, I don't see myself returning. Service/waitress was as bland as food! Pretty quick turn around on getting food. Tho It is nice and pretty inside tho. Nice scenery.
