There is some nice stuff here, but I found the area frustrating. Parking was packed; fair enough on a busy weekend. But with the road running so close to the water and the cliffs, I never really got the sense of being in the park. Construction made it difficult to get around as well. A visitor center was a nice indoor space, but I came for the outdoors and did not get as much as I was hoping. When the construction is done, and perhaps on a less busy day, it may be a better spot.

Love the new nature skate for kids! My kids thoroughly enjoyed it! And they always love going into the nature Center as well! So much fun for them to play inside the tree! Love the storybook Trail! And the path with the bridges.

Wow, I can't get over how beautiful this place is. The fall colors were stunning the day we were there and the weather happened to be perfect. This was our first stop on our little weekend getaway and it was the best stop of them all. Make sure you go into the visitors center, they have maps, a small gift store, clean restrooms and a cute little area to look out the giant picture window and bird watch. There are so many trails! We did the one that goes up the steps (yes, there are a lot but I promise it's worth it) and that really gave us the best view of all the amazing colors. I can't wait to go back in the spring!!

This is one of my favorite parks ever! This is an amazing park for birdwatching and just observing nature in general! The river is filled with minnows and crawfish. Overall 10/10 (5.0 stars) (my review from Google maps)

Paved multipurpose trail along Valley Parkway road

This 5 star-rating is for the wide well-maintained paved all-purpose trail in a spectacular outdoor setting. It would also be a lovely drive along the Valley Parkway that it follows.

Great place for hikes and walks. We all love it. Lots of dogs walking. Naturalists are great and they offer great programs as well.

Bonnie park Great little picnic area with geese and a pond. They are in the process of restoring to more of a natural wetland so there is some construction. Park is bordered by the rocky river. Nice little spot right in the middle of the city.

What a beautiful place to hike. I had no idea this reservation was located right here next to Cleveland , OH. Beautiful scenery and tons of trails. The exercise and nature was just what I needed to get my week started.

    Fort Hill stairs: 155!!

The Fort Hill steps at the RR Nature center/reservation are my FAVORITE place to bust out a good sweat! A climb up the steps leads you to a beautiful park above, with amazing views of the valley and river. There are many trails and good signage directing you. We visit this spot at least once a week and love it so much!! It is extra special in the fall, when the leaves are changing colors -- golden views everywhere.

I love the Cleveland Metroparks. It's nice to be able to escape the city. They have so many free programs and events for families too.

I almost fell of the bridge. I was a very fun experience with a great view. You really need to fix that bridge. :) Your friend Steven

Easy access, lots of beautiful wooded areas with well marked trails. Visiting from out of town, this is pleasant oasis close to the city.

Hinckley offers as diverse a range of activities and some of the best view as any other park in the area. Most people know Hinckley from the annual Buzzard festival, the nice lake and the awesome ledges, but that is just scratching the surface. With the newly renovated dam and the lake refilled Hinckley Reservation is once again at its peak. I have often hiked at Hinckley, my most recent hike started at the Top of the Ledges picnic area, went down through the Ledges, along the North side of the Hinckley Lake Loop, on the Bridal Trails and then the Buckeye Trail back through the Ledges. If you are looking for some interesting hiking the Bridal Trails provide some nice variety from open fields, stream crossings, hills and narrow winding trails. Whipp's Ledges are some of the most impressive you will see; they provide multiple routes and views, plus there is actual rock climbing allowed. Less well known are Worden's Ledges on the other side of the park which while smaller still are lots of fun and they have some interesting carvings that are well worth visiting. The Lake provides the opportunity for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. There is a nice boathouse where you can rent a boat at reasonable rate, and while not terribly challenging, the lake is picturesque and getting out on the water is always a great time. Although I have never taken advantage at the bottom of the dam there is a nice beach and swimming area. Hinckley Reservation is a wonderful asset and a great way to get outside and enjoy yourself. This is a large park with plenty to do and see. Never been disappointed with a visit here.

The dam is a lot better after the reconstruction. Nice 3 mile walk around the lake. Concession…read morestand open during the summer.

I grew up on a large piece of land and always loved watching the small creatures who lived near my house. I feed the animals who live in my backyard now, and I love watching various forms of wildlife frolic in my trees. I've always jokingly said that it would be cool to be able to feed birds from my hand (Cinderella style) but I never knew that would be actually possible. It's a pretty simple process. You go into the nature center, they give you sunflower seeds, and then you patiently and quietly wait with your hand outstretched and full of seeds. I was skeptical at first, but...the chickadees and other birds were quick to scope me out. They'd fly close enough to look at me, briefly make eye contact, and then swoop in for some food. They are so light! And beautiful! And amazingly brave, I think. I know I had a hand full of food, but...I'm a heck of a lot bigger than a chickadee. I had about a dozen birds land on me while I was outside. (and I wasn't out there very long - it was coooollllldd) The highlight was having a bird land on my head! This is a super fun (and free) wintertime thing to do. Chickadee feeding is held from late December through February (weather permitting). It's such a cool experience and totally worth the drive, no matter where you live. (and it's especially fun for the little ones! they can warm up inside by the fire afterwards)
