I am not sure of the name of the person I spoke with (that was overshadowed by his ridiculous attitude), but he was one of the rudest customer service employees I have come across. Firstly, from the start he acted annoyed with me inquiring and asking questions about what they could offer and how much. When I wanted to move from talking about one day to talking about another he would say things like, "well we haven't gotten to Saturday yet" with a sarcastic undertone. When I would repeat myself about something he would rudely say "Yes, that's the information you've given me," again with an annoyed/bothered undertone. He tried to make me feel like what I was asking for was too much and was trying to cut services (that would actually make them more money) when I specifically asked for them. I got off that phone call as soon as I could with my mouth literally wide open. I had to hold back as I really wanted to tell him what I thought about his customer service, or lack thereof, but figured this was a better place to do it. Some advice, if you don't like dealing with people and you find them annoying, you should not answer the phones for inquiries on the business you work for. Maybe another profession would suit you best, one that does not interact with the human race.

Dave corresponded with us during the pre pickup weeks and was always kind and courteous. Both on the way and the way back, Dave was very kind, knowledgeable and, dare I say, funny. The functioning Amtrak station is worth a short visit. The station has a ticket counter, some…read morememorabilia, seating for customers and a museum, that was closed when we were there. There is an old locomotive outside that you can take pictures of, a statue in between the station and the track and free parking. Bathrooms are for Amtrak customers only. It was clean and easy accessible. There is also a Hertz rental car location located inside the station making it super easy for customers to arrive on the train and readily jump into their rental car.

It was worth it I mean breakfast, lunch, and dinner all included. Yes, you can take shower on the train, but it's actually pretty fun. They told us our room was ready and then they changed their mind and said it wasn't ready and that we had to wait a half hour and we should go to the tiki bar when we tried to get couldn't because we didn't have a room key yet my needed a computer charger. They'd have one sent to our room, but that never happened when we did get into the tiki bar we ordered mahi tacos and were given pork. we asked our waitress to charge our the room, she said she could not do that. The pool was wonderful. The hot tub was nice. The view of the lake was remarkable. The rooms were very comfortable. We got to see deer right outside our window. We were celebrating our 36th anniversary we checked in on Monday night. We wanted to have dinner at the boat club. They told us there was one table available. I was so excited until she came back and told me sorry we are completely full. I asked I could change the time of my reservation and she said no only two servers tonight and they could not squeeze one more table. That was a huge disappointment for us because that's why we chose the place.
