They also blocked their office phone number for anyone outside the 406 area code, so Instead of getting a pick-up, I was stranded at the airport. * Very long customer service delay. * After the delay, I received a car without snow tires and otherwise totally inappropriate for the snowy environment. I had to return it. * On a later occasion, we were charged $2700 for a small dent incurred AFTER I had returned the car to their unattended lot. Enterprise's excuse was a term in a set of "terms and conditions" not provided to me. Although as a lawyer I know the term probably was unenforceable, Enterprise pursued me for a year, ignoring the questions I had about the claim. In sum, it was just a hold-up. I know from experience that other car rental companies do not act this way. Steer clear!

Otherwise, they were very accommodating to change my rental since the size of vehicle I originally rented was no longer going to work with us. And then I also had unexpected flight cancellations which forced us to have to stay three days longer on our trip and they were very accommodating to figure out a solution to make sure that we had transportation and work through the challenges of a one-way rental.

First time back at GPIA since the massive remodel and wow does it look great…read more.. We haven't been to Whitefish since 2024 when GPIA was under major construction... We flew in this time and it was like we landed on a different planet. The architects and contractors did amazing job with the new airport... It looks like something out of Yellowstone with Taylor Sheridan's handprints all over it. GPIA has that modern "Montana Cool" feel, eccentric architecture, and is much larger than before. The old GPIA was like flying out of a shack in Alaska (or something), but the new airport is 180 degrees. My only gripe is there are still limited flights in/out of GPIA, especially in the winter months (I'm guessing flights pickup during the summer months, which is peak season). United in their usual United fashion once again had flight planning issues, resulting in delays of morning flights out of GPIA... It ended up screwing us (yet again) with a missed connection, so we had a 7+ hour layover in Denver. When flying out of GPIA, it's suggested taking a late morning or early afternoon flight *particularly* if flying United because there's a high probability of early morning delays (apparently United flight planning hasn't mastered basic/simple mathematics because they certainly do not know how to calculate crew rest time, thus causing flight delays) "or" fly Delta. Nonetheless, the new GPIA looks awesome and is a breeze to get in/out of (as long as you're not flying United Airlines).

Admittedly, I'm used to large airports where you cruise past the desk, choose a car and go, but this is a smaller place obviously and they probably don't have the inventory to run like that. So yes, there was a bit of a line at the counter but the employees were so pleasant and the line moved quickly. The car they provided was amazing. really really nice. the return process involved checking in with someone at a kiosk outside. A couple in front of us were taking forever arguing about something so it held up the line. If they had two employees checking cars in it would probably be better.

I had a rental pickup in kalispell and drop off in Missoula, I 100% did not cancel my reservation, they had no more cars and told me I was out of luck. I had to rent through another company on same day which costed way more, and since I couldn't choose a different drop off location without it costing over 1000$. I had to drive 2 hours to missoula, rent a car in Missoula, have my brother drive the other car, then return the rental in kalispell, then drive back 2 hours to Missoula to catch the flight in Missoula. Thanks a lot Alamo, never ever renting from you or recommending you ever.

Due to a delayed flight, we called the Hertz customer service line to adjust our pickup time. Unfortunately, we were connected to an offshore representative who made changes to our reservation -- including adding an extra day by mistake. When we called back to correct it, we were routed to yet another agent from a different country. This time, the representative canceled our original reservation and rebooked it as a new one, causing the price to double since it was now treated as a same-day booking. We weren't even aware of the price change until we received the updated itinerary after the call had ended. Exhausted, stressed, and with our vacation already off to a rough start, I reached out to the local Hertz office in Kalispell and spoke with Debbie P. Despite being extremely busy (I could hear the crowd at the counter), she took the time to listen, promised to call me back -- and actually did. To our immense relief, she was able to correct the entire situation, restoring our original reservation dates and the rate we had initially booked. When we finally arrived after midnight, we were greeted by Debbie herself at the Hertz desk. After everything we had gone through, seeing her and knowing everything had been fixed was such a huge relief. She may have just been "doing her job," but to us, she turned what could have been a disastrous start to a long-anticipated vacation into a positive and reassuring experience. The customer service I got was great and friendly. My flight came in at 1am and they stayed after hours so I could get the car. I did call two days before to see what could be done. Aside from that CSR walked through the process which I knew well as I rent a fair amount but it was still nice to see a person doing their job well.

We then were told that there were no credits for usage use less that was ordered . Too bad so Sad... The agent told me that I should not have secured the rental at the beginning and paid when we returned the car... I did not see that as an option. Customer service basically saying to bad ... I am not sure of the name of the person I spoke with (that was overshadowed by his ridiculous attitude), but he was one of the rudest customer service employees I have come across. Firstly, from the start he acted annoyed with me inquiring and asking questions about what they could offer and how much. When I wanted to move from talking about one day to talking about another he would say things like, "well we haven't gotten to Saturday yet" with a sarcastic undertone. When I would repeat myself about something he would rudely say "Yes, that's the information you've given me," again with an annoyed/bothered undertone. He tried to make me feel like what I was asking for was too much and was trying to cut services (that would actually make them more money) when I specifically asked for them. I got off that phone call as soon as I could with my mouth literally wide open. I had to hold back as I really wanted to tell him what I thought about his customer service, or lack thereof, but figured this was a better place to do it. Some advice, if you don't like dealing with people and you find them annoying, you should not answer the phones for inquiries on the business you work for. Maybe another profession would suit you best, one that does not interact with the human race.
