I said I needed the car ready to roll--the minute they opened-- so I could drive up in time to make my Red Bus tour in the park. He graciously promised that it was no problem to make this happen and had the door open even before their usual 8 a.m. opening time. Awesome! Sure enough the Subaru I rented was perfect and I made the tour time in no time. This Enterprise knows what they are doing and keep their word. Not every location is as good as this one. Last year when my Bug was down, I rented from my local go-to Enterprise, which would forget to pick me up or mess up my order. There was a constant stream of new personnel always learning the ropes here that made me nervous to deal with them. The Kalispell rental office has seasoned pros ready to cater to your every rental need. Also, management trainee Cody was great. He was understanding when I was delayed returning the car when I got lost trying to find them. Normally, I would deduct 1 YELP STAR from the review since this Evergreen location does not accept cash, due to liability reasons. I like to use cash to keep my spending under control when I vacation. But, oh well. Excellent car rental nevertheless.

It had B gear which should have "automatically" turned on. We left the airport and the next day went to the mountains to discover the car DID NOT have the right gears. We kept trying however became concerned driving. After 2 days we went back to Enterprise to ask for another car and the person at the desk, Raphael, told us we were wrong, we didn't know how to drive, there was "no such thing" as low gear. Another person who worked there commented, "I just drive really fast." I explained that we didn't feel safe. By this time there were other people waiting and the two people at the desk finally agreed to rent us a different car. The design is clean, modern, and genuinely pleasant to move through--big windows, fresh finishes, and that polished "new airport smell" that makes travel feel a little less chaotic. The problem hits once you reach the gate areas. They're consistently congested, even at times that shouldn't be peak. Seating disappears fast, people cluster in every walkway, and the whole zone takes on that "everyone's waiting for the same delayed flight" energy even when operations are running on time. It's not mismanaged; it's just undersized for the traffic it's pulling. Staff are friendly, security moves quickly, and the overall experience is still solid. But the crowding keeps the terminal from living up to how nice it looks. A comfortable 4 stars--great aesthetics, good service, but the gate congestion is impossible to ignore.

Admittedly, I'm used to large airports where you cruise past the desk, choose a car and go, but this is a smaller place obviously and they probably don't have the inventory to run like that. So yes, there was a bit of a line at the counter but the employees were so pleasant and the line moved quickly. The car they provided was amazing. really really nice. the return process involved checking in with someone at a kiosk outside. A couple in front of us were taking forever arguing about something so it held up the line. If they had two employees checking cars in it would probably be better.

I am not sure of the name of the person I spoke with (that was overshadowed by his ridiculous attitude), but he was one of the rudest customer service employees I have come across. Firstly, from the start he acted annoyed with me inquiring and asking questions about what they could offer and how much. When I wanted to move from talking about one day to talking about another he would say things like, "well we haven't gotten to Saturday yet" with a sarcastic undertone. When I would repeat myself about something he would rudely say "Yes, that's the information you've given me," again with an annoyed/bothered undertone. He tried to make me feel like what I was asking for was too much and was trying to cut services (that would actually make them more money) when I specifically asked for them. I got off that phone call as soon as I could with my mouth literally wide open. I had to hold back as I really wanted to tell him what I thought about his customer service, or lack thereof, but figured this was a better place to do it. Some advice, if you don't like dealing with people and you find them annoying, you should not answer the phones for inquiries on the business you work for. Maybe another profession would suit you best, one that does not interact with the human race.

I've been fighting it for over a week now. I showed them the gas charge just before I dropped off but they are asking for a rental return receipt from Avis. I just drop keys and go.
