I am blessed. My ancestors are rural, farming, ranching, gardening nursery-ownering people of the soil. They are also of the many fleeing the soil. My grandmother's words, "I refuse to marry a rancher and get worked to feath." Her mother died on the new Texas place when Grandma was 11. Grandma went on with her sister and brothers, homesteading in New Mexico and Colorado. She finally settled with her brother in Iola, Kansas with the brother that broke his leg so badly falling off the New barn roof his dad sent him to optician school. His generations followed him into the trade. Born in Los Angeles, living on the edges, I made a career in the rural west. CENEX has been most places I have. I now live in Central Phoenix, AZ. Their fuel pumps are open when the main store opens. We fueled here July 12th and 13th, 2024. I didn't quite fill the tank on the 12th. We returned in daylight hours to top off - and step inside. Our nation is divided. Most people live in cities, obsessed with their tiny circles of life. They know nothing of rural life, making a living from the soil, the most Ancient hunting and fishing lifeways or guns for more than imagined threats generated by endless entertainment crime shows. This store is a VERY cool place. Mostly heavy duty, practical, useful items for work and wear. A total inventory for the outdoor people feeding and entertaining themselves hunting and fishing. Anyone can find useful items for work, wear or repair. The rural few need a little respect from the urban many. That's where food grows, that's where God lives. That's where it will take a very long time to create alternative machines that work and travel in country places. read more

Right off the highway and easily accessible when you're passing by. This is way more than just a petrol station. They have everything inside. Guns, pizza, other foods, typical gas snacks, good jerky, fishing gear. Basically like a bass pro but with gas and minus the aquarium haha. Have some time and passing by, I'd recommend a stop here to fuel Up and grab a bite to eat. read more

We thought we were stopping for gas, but it was so much more!! This place has EVERYTHING -- gas, propane, food, clothing, etc! The sales associates were diligent to see what we were looking for and pointed us right to the aisle and locations of items we were looking for. On October 21, 2024 I was on I-15 north on my way back to Canada when my rear passenger window suddenly shattered for some unknown reason. I had nothing with me to patch things up and was still about an hour away from Dillon. Having stopped several times at RMS for fuel over the years, I decided to see if they had any cardboard I could use. By the time I got there, most of the glass had completely fallen out. I went into the store and asked at the front counter. The girl there contacted another employee who soon came back with cardboard and tape. I was expecting to work on the window myself, but within about 15 minutes, some very helpful employees had covered the opening for me! I was able to be on my way again quickly, after making a point of making a purchase in the store. Staff at this store certainly know what customer service is, and I know where I will be stopping every time I pass through Dillon in the future. Thank you! read more

I too, thought this was a gas station only, just another Cenex, but then wandered in and went whoa. It is more like if you stuffed a Fleet Farm or IFA and a Cabela's into a convenience store once you get inside. It is extremely well laid-out also, unlike all of those other places I mentioned, with discernible separations of areas so you need not waste your time. Bathroom needs some attention and is probably too small, given it is the closest station to I-15, but for the weary traveler, this is a pretty neat find. read more

Today, my family was returning to Idaho which we call home and stopped for gas and coffee. I loved this store immediately for its immensity and visual appeal of so much for a quick stop or lengthy shop stop. Its a beautiful place full of great products! Prior to making our way through upon entering, we were hearing a city siren. We asked the young man at the register what was happening and he said it rings out every day at noon. That was interesting! We got our coffee and as I register I asked Ryan and the sweet lady; Nancy if they by chance had seed potatoes, as I noticed gardening seeds. They both smiled and said, "Turn around!" There was this display of boxes of various kinds of seed potatoes!! I was so excited, and they had " Purple Viking" as well as others I chose. Always wanted that kind, never found them especially this late in the Spring. So stop in and say hello to these delightful employees and shop till you drop! read more

Thought it was a "gas station" when we stopped to fill up. My sister and I were on a 4 day Ghost Town tour with my granddaughters (16 and 13). This more than a truck stop. Food, clothing, boots, hardware, hunting and fishing supplies...you name it and they have it. Clean bathrooms. Wonderful and friendly staff. Found a great sweater for the 16 y/o and a hoodie dress for the 13 y/o. Lots of reasonable gifts to be found. Prices good. read more

I once stood at the gun counter with money in hand for 45 minutes. They lost out on a good sale that day. Drove my butt down to bitterroot trading company and was treated right. If you're going to have a gun counter you might want to have it manned. Wasn't the only time I've seen it happen. But oh well. They must not need the sales. read more

Unbelievable that you sponsor coyote killing contests and year after year. Patrons should know, especially Veterinarians and the oath they take for animals. Despite the lame excuses, the evidence is growing that killing coyotes does not protect livestock. In fact, it can make matters worse. Indiscriminately destroying animals opens those territories for others who might actually cause a problem. Persecution results in larger litters and higher survival rates of the pups. There are multiple non-lethal effective methods that responsible ranchers employ. Coyotes feed predominantly on rodents actually helping agriculture and removing disease carrying vectors that inflict diseases such as Lyme disease in humans. Our big game populations are overabundant and well over management objectives. Wolves keep coyotes in check and coyotes keep foxes in check. It is how nature works. These killing derbies are just for the sake of killing and various animals fall victim for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time, including foxes, raccoons, porcupines, and even the occasional dog. Allowing children to participate sends a very disturbing message. Until Rocky Mountain Supply discontinues these blood baths, shop elsewhere. read more
