Alexa's incredibly personable and genuinely wanted to get to know me and my story. She digs below surface-level discussion by using various tools to help with deeper contemplation and discussion about values and how they shaped my career goals. Also, on a practical level, Alexa is one of those great "connector" types. She seems to know someone in every industry/company in town (not exaggerating). I'm much happier now primarily because I'm better matched in an industry/role that fits my personality. I strongly recommend Alexa to anyone who's exploring a new career direction or just needs a boost with their job hunt.

She helped me with crafting an updated resume, updating my professional social account, and creating a killer cover letter template. With Alexa's encouragement, my self confidence increased and within no time I had landed a great new gig and even negotiated my salary. About a year and a half later, I realized I wanted to take a new direction with my career, and again I turned to Alexa for guidance. She helped me to identify aspects of my previous jobs that I loved and ones I didn't care for, and expanded my knowledge about what was out there that would be a good fit for me. I ended up finding a job I truly love that combines my greatest professional strengths. I cannot recommend Alexa and Loken Careers more to anyone who is struggling with finding their "calling" or just looking for a better situation. Pro tip: do the homework! ;)

It used to be a reliable place to get any type of building supplies at decent used quality for a "this has definitely been used" price. Now it's wildly overpriced. This review is almost more for me to remember to stop driving down to Boulder to try shopping here. Example: selling the 15gal barrels they receive their deicing salt in for winter - for $15. Barrels seem to be priced at $1/gal now, even when they're deformed or broken. So expect to pay $5 for a 5-gal bucket, $35 for a 35gal can and $50 for a 55gal. Saw $45 for a utility sink made of the same cheap plastic as Walmart Adirondack chairs - not the older, indestructible molded utility sink type. Bent and broken rakes and shovels for $5-20. It's just wild. Pieces of pallets are priced as though they're new stock lumber, and they don't even list the lumber prices anymore (were they to have any, which they didn't)... with the way everything else is priced, there's no way I'll even bother checking. At this point it's cheaper and more reliable to buy new from Home Depot which is beside the point of this place and it sucks!! The quality of used goods did not improve in the past 2 years, so why the price tripled is beyond me, but it's not worth it. Bye, Resource Central. I really loved you while you were affordable. Thankfully Habitat ReStore still has their head on straight.
