As of October 2023 "Go Getters Trucking Services, LLC" has been a forfeited corporate entity…read moreaccording to the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation. This means that "Go Getters" or the principal Mr. Robert Hager cannot enter into any contractual relationship, move furniture, accept money, or conduct any business whatsoever. In fact, no one is allowed to use the designated corporate name, so Mr. Hager's former website (https://gogettersmovers.com/) could be construed as fallacious. On the "Go Getters" contract and this defunct website it is claimed that this "company" is fully covered by insurance. As anyone knows an insurance claim is invoked in case of damaged or missing items. "Go Getters" has two policies. The first policy is a business insurance, but according to an agent it excludes any culpability for any damages or missing items while in their possession and the other policy covers a passenger vehicle -- not the moving truck that he uses. And so the agent for this insurance company also stated that there is no coverage for lost or damaged items. Moreover, the latter agent placed Hager and Go Getters Trucking Services, LLC on the uninsurable list for what we will euphemistically describe as a clerical error. That means that the Department of Transportation was informed and the Go Getters carrier license was revoked. So Hager and his crew cannot engage in interstate moving, and for that matter, in any business whatsoever without insurance. So that means insofar as the DOT is concerned he cannot move a matchbox from Virginia to DC, or even within Maryland because of his forfeited LLC. Not bad work for a family owned business that takes pride in servicing their customers with reliability. Mr. Hager's saga does not end here. Now he is advertising on Thumbtack. He is still using the Go Getters name forbidden by the State of Maryland. But to add to his shallow business tactics he has posted another DOT license number. Additional research confirms that it belongs to a business in Baltimore, but hey, maybe out of the goodness of their corporate heart he was given permission to use this defunct license? In an email exchange with Thumbtack, Jamie of the Trust and Safety Team refused to take action when he was apprised of these facts. It is quite striking that Thumbtack allows people to engage in unsavory activity on their platform. So what prompted me to post this review? He and his crew damaged a number of pieces of furniture including an antique desk and some of our items "disappeared." Mr. Hager refused to respond to phone calls, texts, emails, and letters even though I requested reasonable financial reimbursement. Furthermore, Mr. Hager insisted on cash payment the first day that he and his crackerjack crew arrived, so clients are forced into a corner after days of preparation even though their Yelp and Thumbtack pages claims that he accepts credit cards. Bear in mind this unspecified monetary transaction is a federal offense and so is their gross negligence by not giving a bill of lading. Because his uninsured van is pint-size moving logistics became a nightmare necessitating multiple trips. In retrospect, when you first meet Mr. Hager it could be said that his demeanor smacks of pious affability -- quite a contrast with reality and all his God blessing and other specious responses to customer reviews. And by the way, when he sent me that vacuous contract he underestimated the charges and I had to inform him that I should pay more. Given all this information and this final stab in the back, is that the way an honest person should be treated?

About two months after I had my carpets cleaned, my dog got very sick while I was at work causing her to vomit and have diarrhea in multiple places throughout my home. While I cleaned up what I could, I naturally needed professional cleaning. I called Fiber Clean on a Thursday after 4, and they were able to send a pair of technicians to my home the following afternoon. Both men were extremely professional. They explained how they'd not only clean up what I couldn't, but also their disinfection process. The men were in my home for about an hour, and as they were getting ready to leave I asked for the bill. They told me it was free because I had just had my carpets cleaned recently! I couldn't believe it. I reminded them that the mess was not their company's fault, but the men refused payment. All I can say is I'm amazed at the quality of the cleaning and especially at the customer service. I recently had a septic inspection done before I purchased a home. Marc at accurate environmental…read morecompleted it. He charged a fair price ($400) did a thorough inspection of the system with the snake camera and wrote a well-written report explaining the necessary fixes necessary to the system. Unfortunately, when pressed by the sellers and their agent (who he works for frequently) he backed off the verbiage from his report, said that the drywell was in A+ condition and quoted the seller a repair cost of $500 versus the $1500 estimate he gave me as the buyer. This created an impasse on what was deemed necessary to fix between the buyer and the seller. The whole issue was created by the necessary inspections noted in the report to the buyer on one side and the shining report card told to the seller on the other. After getting another contractor on site for an estimate, the best written estimate we got was $1,250. However, the seller kept using Marc's words against the report and the other contractor. Marc is very knowledgeable, articulate, and no doubt performs a good inspection. However, it's after the fact. He has a hard time sticking to his report if under pressure. He never should have given an estimate and he should not have contradicted his report to the seller. When I confronted Marc on this, he did not provide a refund to me after talking out of both sides of his mouth on this issue. If you are buying a house, I recommend someone who is not frequently used by the seller's agent. Conversely (and comically), I guess I would recommend him if you are selling your house and the buyer's agent asked for a septic recommendation...it all depends on how ethical you are.

Rod started out friendly and seemed knowledgeable and we thought we were in good hands. After…read morewalking the property with us he identified areas that he felt were the best bet for conducting perc testing. We then hired a surveyor to mark out the existing perc site (we needed more than one.) He went back out and dug holes and flagged out the perc sites. Time was of the essence because we were closing in on the deadline to file with the county to have our perc test begin. We THOUGHT Rod had taken care of that and all we needed to do next was wait for the end of the wet season to get the results. We were never given any instruction from Rod to file any paperwork, nor were we provided with the information that we would have needed in order to file paperwork with the county ourselves. We never heard from Rod again. After repeated phone calls and emails over a period of months we finally called the health department out of desperation, only to find out that he had never filed the paperwork with the county, and with only two weeks left in the wet season it was too late to get a perc this year. Our ability to purchase this piece of property is now in jeopardy and may not go through all because of his inability to return a phone call. During repeated conversations with his office manager we stated that we hadn't received a bill yet for services rendered. Now we know that Rod realized way back that he had dropped the ball and that was why we never got a bill and he wouldn't respond to our phone calls. We are completely shocked by his lack of professionalism or even any sense of decency. If he had brought his error to our attention in January or February we could have addressed it with the health department and had a very different outcome. I would stay FAR AWAY from Accurate Environmental.
