Pawleys Front Porch is a dive bar, and has been featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We arrived about 15 minutes after they opened, and were the first to arrive. Even after us being in the restaurant for an hour, only two other parties arrived to dine. It honestly felt like a ghost town, and hope that it is not like this every day. Their fried pickles are actually pretty good! They are crispy, hot, and have a good dill taste (good pickles). The chicken tenders are good! They aren't frozen, are crispy, and have good taste. The burger was supposed to come with a pretzel bun, but apparently they haven't had a pretzel bun in three years lol. Why is it still on the menu? We don't know. His burger was a bit overcooked and toppings weren't quite as high quality as last time. Our server was wonderful, and constantly came around to refill our drinks and get us anything we need. It did take a bit of a long time for our food to come out, but that's alright. As long as the food is good we don't mind. We hope to see the restaurant return back to how good it used to be!

I also loved their old-fashioned coffee mugs, which are difficult to find these days, despite their higher level of quality and effectiveness. Finally, our server was sweet and did a pretty good job of checking up on us. Overall, I'd say that the Original Pancake House was pretty average and wasn't really anything better than I could've gotten at a chain restaurant like Waffle House or Denny's.
