We live across the street from Rockport reservoir and really love the investment that's going into the marina. We rent a slip and eat here frequently during the summer. I don't understand the negative reviews, we are not related to Cody (as the other post accuses the 4&5 star reviews of). We are just a frequent customer.

If you are looking to rent a cabin, here is a cabin review: upon arrival the smell in the sunset cabin is awful. Nothing was cleaned, other people's belongings were still in the cabin. So it was clear that no one even checked it before renting it out to other customers. There's no pictures on their website so I will leave some here. If you want to stay at Rockport bring a tent and save your $100 a night for a "cabin".

Dirty, broken rental equipment, horrible customer service. Wasted our time and money here. Don't bother unless you thrive on disappointment.

We had a pleasant experience. Somehow I accidentally reserved a pontoon for the following weekend,…read morebut they were able to accommodate us today, thankfully! Everyone is nice & friendly. Check in was easy and they go through all the do's & dont's of using the boat. The pontoon we reserved was the cheapest, but it was really nice compared to ones we've rented in the past at other lakes/rivers. Had Bluetooth speakers which added to the experience. We were bummed out the weather was a bit crappy so I felt like we didn't get to fully enjoy the experience. Also, unless you plan to jump off the boat and swim/float etc., there's no where to beach it to hang out, and you are told to stay 150 feet away from the edges due to shallow water and rocks. The water was a chilly 52 for Memorial Day weekend and without sun and warm temps we didn't get into the water. We ended up returning our rental early due to rain, but checking the boat back in was easy. I definitely recommend renting if you're spending a day here. It's got gorgeous views and it's very big. There were some cool teepees out of what looked like driftwood or something along the South Eastern section that merges into Provo River. There's beautiful homes along northern edges as well.

Clay, Gabbie, Val, and Justin were so helpful with our kayak rentals and helped make our day fun…read moreand easy.

I had about an hour to kill before heading to the airport and on a whim looked to see if there was…read morea possibility to get on the Great Salt Lake. I've been to SLC many times for work and pleasure but never had the chance to be on the Great Salt Lake until recently. I was lucky enough to find this boat tour company, and there was a 45 min boat tour leaving about 15 minutes after I arrived at the state park. To get into the Great Salt Lake State Park, the admission is $10. And for this boat tour, it was under $40 for a 45-minute boat tour. It was a beautiful fall day, and it just couldn't have been nicer to be on the water, I loved it. Our tour guide, who was also navigating our pontoon, said that yesterday all the boat tours were canceled due to wind and smoke. SLC has been quite smoky on this visit, and that's from all forest fires around, which made me so sad, really. SLC is a beautiful city, and the mountains are so breathtaking on a clear day. Having so much smoke tarnishes the entire beautiful of the city. This was a really nice ride, and the tour guide had all sorts of fun facts and jokes for us and told us a bit about the salt lake. The water is quite salty, and because of this, you will be able to float nicely on it. I'll have to get into the water next time. Overall, I enjoyed this lake ride immensely and would highly recommend it if you're in SLC. Everyone was friendly working for the company, and pretty laid back. And don't forget to tip your tour guide. You can also ask for a QR Venmo code to tip if you don't have cash. This park is also about 15 min to the airport, so pretty closeby. This is also seasonal for the summer, so make sure you check to see if boat tours are running.

That experience was provided right behind the Visitor Center. We did not see anyone else dip more than a toe in while we were there. The parking lot outdoor showers were warmish and helpful to wash off the tiny shrimp after our swim. The smell, swarms of low flying tiny bugs, and the residual dry skin were a bit unpleasant, but didn't stop us from enjoying our dip in the lake. Nor are they the fault of the Marina, so...

Our experience was amazing - an incredible river and geology, sandy beach campsites, delicious and plentiful freshly prepared food, interesting and skilled guides navigating the river and its rapids, two side hikes to unique locations... We spent time in the oar rafts and in the inflatable kayak "duckies" on the river, and spent time at camp swimming, talking, eating. playing bocce and volleyball, and stargazing under a new moon with another guide (Tom) who brought a telescope and told us stories of the constellations as he showed us how to find them and brought up other unique views on the telescope. Of course, this is an off-the-grid experience so there were no distractions from cell phones (no signal), we slept in tents, and we all had to use a box toilet to be packed out by the guides each morning as we got back in the rafts. Maybe that's not something everybody's comfortable with, but it's an amazing trip in an awe-inspiring location.

Steering was terrible, surf trim broken, and the boat had a hard time going into neutral to start. When it finally did go into gear, it would lurch forward or backward unpredictably, making it hard to operate. The passenger ballast wouldn't fill at all, and the driver-side ballast barely worked. Andreas was over an hour late, and once we had the boat, we texted him about the issues but received no answers. We've rented many boats -- this was the worst. Save your money and rent elsewhere.

He went to pick up more, but still did not provide enough for everyone. Our boat was the Tige and it was not in good condition. There were several things wrong with the boat that made our experience more complicated. The power steering didn't work, the throttle was extremely difficult to operate (there were several times where we couldn't find neutral so we couldn't get the engine to start for several minutes), the front window wouldn't open which made getting from the back to the front of the boat difficult, especially for the adults, the speed of the boat would not exceed 25mph, and times when it would not go above 15. The trailer brake lights and blinkers didn't work on one side as well. I reached out to Andreas, who we had been communicating with, to let him know of the issues. All he did was get defensive and make excuses. We felt a small refund to compensate us for the difficulties was warranted, but once inquired about, he stopped responding. Overall, I would not rent from Dylan's Water Sports again. They only seem to care about making money and not their customer's experiences.
