By the end of the same day of his initial visit, we had a detailed estimate in email, which we approved. Our house was remodeled in the past with uniqueness and quality materials in mind, but with 80% completion on many aspects. We needed a contractor who could help complete our unique vision. Alan replaced a large area of cedar shakes on the back of our home, helping erase the evidence of a decayed deck we previously removed. Alexei was super communicative, arrived right now time and got to work immediately. We ran into a small issue around the width of the door being about 1/2" too wide and walked through some options. He took his time and even made sure that the doors were more secure than they were previously by adding some longer screws. I could tell that nuts needed to be tightened and it was to the point that one had worked its way off. I responded and they said the repair would be $150. I thought that was very expensive, but it needed to be done and I did not know who else to contact. So I agreed. Yesterday morning the young man who came was a little late but did get to my house, within the appointed hour. He was respectful and well mannered. He was well prepared with tools. He was Ukranian and spoke little English. He did have a translating app on his phone. He quickly did a good job, tightening all the nuts and I paid him in cash. I do think it was a bit of a pricing gouge, but the work seems well done and quick. And in comparison to the money spent on my chair and the life I will get out of it, it is a small price. Always hard to pay for stuff you think you can do yourself but that said the handyman showed up on time and ready to go.. left a vm the night before, etc.. they have "packages" and it was cheaper for us to purchase a half day package. We did, and ended up adding a few hours to it and the work we needed done was done well. I am a bit of a pain in the ass as a client but I will always say either way if it was from my point of view great or not great service... and for ACE Handyman Services they did a GREAT JOB! The master bath was about 60sq ft (excluding alcove shower) in a 1999 3-story condo, and the job scope included: demolish/remove original alcove tub, sinks, vanity, mirror, vinyl flooring, baseboards install new tub with 12x24" tile shower walls install new shower fixtures at taller height install 12x12" tile flooring install new plywood, solid-door vanity install new porcelain sinks and hardware install shower curtain rod install vanity backsplash tile install tile baseboards The half bath was about 25sq ft and the job scope included: install new toilet with appropriate flange install new stand-alone vanity install sink fixture Michael and Chevy did the work themselves and met every timeline. Michael was responsive and communicative, quickly notifying us of changes. He got the job done with high-quality standards and within a reasonable timeframe, despite delays and set backs. For example, in late Feb 2025 there was a significant snow/ice storm that delayed the project by 2 days. Michael showed up on the weekends to continue the job to try and make up time. He was consistent, reliable, and transparent. Another example: Our master bath floor was not level enough for the tile, and Michael was clear and open about what had to be done to get the job finished to a top-quality standard. It added a couple days to the timeframe (and some cost), but the final result was well worth it. Last example: The half bath toilet flange had several errors from the original build and contractor work, and the toilet we bought had a manufacturing defect (leak) we found after installing the toilet. Despite these obstacles and added time, Michael brought the flange to code, uninstalled the defective toilet, and installed the defect-free replacement. There were several curveballs with our job and Michael handled them professionally and courteously, making sure we were involved with every change decision along the way. We are thinking about hiring him for our second (guest) bath remodel, and wish him all the success a small business owner can have!

My wife and I recently worked with Clark County General Contracting to repair our bathroom after…read morediscovering water damage. Darrell, the owner, and his worker Nate were fantastic from start to finish. We originally noticed a bump in the bathroom floor that turned out to be a moisture issue. A mitigation company came in to remove the damaged flooring and toilet and dry everything out. After that, we started collecting quotes from contractors--and chose Darrell because he was by far the most straightforward and transparent. He took the time to explain everything clearly, gave us a fair quote, and didn't sugarcoat anything. Once we agreed to move forward, Darrell even handled communication with our insurance company and got the project covered. That alone was a huge help. The work itself turned out great. Darrell and Nate installed new subflooring, laminate that we picked out, and new baseboards. After the job was done, we did notice a couple of minor issues--one with the baseboard seal and another with the threshold transition that my wife wasn't happy with. Darrell came back out promptly and made sure both were addressed to our satisfaction. I've included some photos of the bathroom after mitigation and the finished result--the difference speaks for itself. Great company, easy to work with, and reliable. That and our comfort with Darrell made our choice easy. We made some big changes to our second story deck, so it took some time for a structural engineer to get plans in place but, the final product was well worth the wait.
