The Giraffe barn is attached to one side of the house, and their pasture is on the other side. It is the most fabulous "Barndominium" with incredible finishes and clearly thoughtfully designed. That experience alone was mind-blowing.... however we also had the Gold Packages and were able to experience everything the ranch had to offer! Zebras, Capybaras, Kangaroos, Otters, Deer, Homer the Dromedary!!! Everywhere you turned there were more animals and more experiences offered. My children and I were in absolute animal heaven and will be thrilled to return. I will say, our vacation was expensive and it did not disappoint. However, I do believe you can absolutely visit this ranch on a budget.... Probably one of the best experiences was their ranch safari and that is a nominal price and totally worth it! You can see the entire property and all of the animals on the safari trip. Additionally they have fantastic cabins that are themed, and if you have children under the age of 10, the pirate themed cabins are beyond your wildest imagination.... as far as I am aware all of the sleeping accommodations include kitchens so you can absolutely cook for your family instead of paying for the delicious ranch food. That said... Chef Alan is phenomenal and out of this world excellent chef. Each meal was made with love and artistry. The staff at Blue Hills Ranch all go above and beyond to create lasting memories for you. I absolutely recommend this experience as a NOT TO BE MISSED event! We are already planning a return in October/November depending on availability . Cannot wait. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking -- a crisp, snow-covered trail winding through tall pine trees under a brilliant blue sky with perfect fluffy clouds. The weather was ideal: sunny, calm, and just cold enough to make it feel like a true winter escape without being uncomfortable. Huge shoutout to our incredibly patient and helpful tour guide who made the entire experience smooth, safe, and enjoyable for everyone (especially first-timers). Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The horses are well trained and follow each other since they already know the trail, but they still respond to commands like go and stop, and you can steer them left or right if you want. That made us feel comfortable even as first-time riders. The only area I think could be improved is having a small practice area for brand-new riders to learn the basics before heading out on the trail. Other than that, everything was amazing. The ride was about an hour long and very enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!

Our ride was stunning across the fields and trails on the ranch. And they even picked up my dad in the 4-wheeler to feed the cows while we were horse riding so he felt he could be a part of the day (we had purchased feed for the cows ahead). The entire family enjoyed the ride itself, the guides helped us take photos. Next time we would consider staying in the cabins on the ranch. I came here for a wedding and stayed on the property. The driveway was dark, but the cabins were well lit and don't lock. We stayed in one of the 4 identical cabins. The accommodations were nice and had a loft upstairs with two twins. It is a steep ladder and great for kids, but not for adults. The decor was western and featured some taxidermy. This scared some of the little kids we knew at the wedding. The bathroom and main bedroom were a decent size and the kitchenette had a mini fridge and coffee machine, along with the living area with a small TV and chairs/small couch. The grounds were beautiful and was a true farm. The pool was great for the kids and the waterfall made it feel fancy. I loved the open greenery and the animals that roamed, along with the ponies and goats that you could get close to. There is a covered pavilion near the pool that was a hang out spot for our crew. The wedding itself was in the grass next to the reception venue, since it was too wet to have it down in the pasture. The reception venue was large and had high ceilings. The food was pretty good and the two outdoor firepit areas right outside became a place for guests to step out as well. Parking is in a grass lot so beware the shoes you where, especially if it has rained recently.
