Loveland Ranch - Our ride wonderful place Kate the guide was amazing

Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The horses are well trained and follow each other since they already know the trail, but they still respond to commands like go and stop, and you can steer them left or right if you want. That made us feel comfortable even as first-time riders. The only area I think could be improved is having a small practice area for brand-new riders to learn the basics before heading out on the trail. Other than that, everything was amazing. The ride was about an hour long and very enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a very delayed start, and all of the employees were showing signs of being overwhelmed, resulting in them being rude to paying customers. I overheard the younger male who's supposedly in charge talk to one of the girls that was helping him named Maddison telling her "you don't want to help okay f*ck you." She had to be no older than 14, but I minded my business I don't know their relationship. They barely touched on any rules before we started, and they had kids leading us on the trail. The kids that were leading didn't even have control of their own horses. There was a lot of water areas on the trail, and the horse that I was on called Romeo kept trying to avoid the water. I was told l'd have to try a little harder to steer him so l did, but he didn't listen a lot of the time. Almost like he isn't used to being ridden. Towards the end of the trail there was a large area of water and he ran through a small space between some trees that I could barely fit through. I was steering him away from the trees before I even got close, but the horse did it's own thing and I ended up falling off and stealing my legs against the trees. I decided I was done riding, and at the end I went to talk to one of the staff about my experience. He was very dismissive and basically said that it was my fault for not steering, even though he did not witness the situation. He didn't apologize, he was defensive and talked over me during my explanation. I didn't threaten to leave any bad reviews nor did I ask for any kind of refund. I was simply informing them so they'd be aware for future riders. Animals are not predictable and as people we know that. When I told him that I fell he said "well clearly you didn't steer." I have witnesses that were riding behind me that seen that I did what I was supposed to do. After we accepted the fact that they were just rude and bad business owners, I said forget it we're going to just call it a day and leave. The man "in charge" threatened to call the police on us if we didn't show him our receipts proving that we paid. They checked to see if everyone paid before we even started riding. He was just offended, and I honestly believe that he is scared of a lawsuit. Terrible experience and I feel bad for the young girls that have to help him run things there. They need some sort of investigation.

The driveway was dark, but the cabins were well lit and don't lock. We stayed in one of the 4 identical cabins. The accommodations were nice and had a loft upstairs with two twins. It is a steep ladder and great for kids, but not for adults. The decor was western and featured some taxidermy. This scared some of the little kids we knew at the wedding. The bathroom and main bedroom were a decent size and the kitchenette had a mini fridge and coffee machine, along with the living area with a small TV and chairs/small couch. The grounds were beautiful and was a true farm. The pool was great for the kids and the waterfall made it feel fancy. I loved the open greenery and the animals that roamed, along with the ponies and goats that you could get close to. There is a covered pavilion near the pool that was a hang out spot for our crew. The wedding itself was in the grass next to the reception venue, since it was too wet to have it down in the pasture. The reception venue was large and had high ceilings. The food was pretty good and the two outdoor firepit areas right outside became a place for guests to step out as well. Parking is in a grass lot so beware the shoes you where, especially if it has rained recently.

We stopped by on our way back from Shreveport expecting some standard diner food. Lucky for us, the food was way better than expected and much higher quality as well. My son and I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, while my wife ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken due to the recommendation of our waitress. Unfortunately, they brought out three orders of Chicken Fried Steak. We didn't say anything and accepted the food as it was. The Chicken Fried Steak was humongous and packed with flavor. It was a tad on the salty side and the meat was a little tough. But for a restaurant in the middle of nowhere, it was still better than expected. All of the sides tasted great, including the Mac n cheese, baked potato, coleslaw, fries, and onion rings. I would recommend stopping by here to support them and avoid the fast food chains.

The Pharm is in downtown Buffalo. A lot of locals eat here. If you are a hunter, you are going to love this place. On the front wall is one of the most impressive collections of deer trophies I have ever seen. Lots of restaurants with hunters for owners or workers put deer heads up on the wall. Few have as an impressive a collection of top score trophies as you will see at the Pharm. The antler widths are absolutely positively enormous. I didn't think they made deer with antlers that big. * * * What goes for the antlers goes for the food. Pharm takes pride in its steaks. This seemed like a good reason to order a rib eye sandwich. That rib eye was about as wide at the biggest trophy on the wall. It extended half a foot out of my bun on one side and half a foot out of my bun on the other side. The bun was merely a handle for picking the sandwich up. The rib eye was thin but absolutely tender. It was not the $150 steak you would get at an oil magnate's private dining club. But for an everyday steak sandwich, it was just great. I was happy to have it. I was also happy to have the onion rings that went with it. * * * I would say the crowd was 100% local. I was the only highway passer-through. There were a lot of people taking a break from work for lunch. Many of these guys had the name of their company embroidered on their baseball cap. There were retirees in camouflage having lunch with friends. There was one young Christian couple having a long friendly conversation with a lady who was probably the manager. The manager was holding a hammer and waving her hammer over the place. My guess is that they were talking about some kind of repair or remodel job going on in the restaurant. But then who knows? Altogether, it seemed like a comfortable neighborhood hangout. * * * I suppose you "could" do well by eating at the Subway right at the highway junction. I recommend you do better by going into Buffalo itself.
