5 stars doesn't come close! This place is Incredible! Went out for a weekend away from the city and just fell in love with Rockin' Star Ranch! The property is just beautiful and the accommodations are all unique and quaint and super comfortable. Every direction u look there is an inviting area to rest and relax. From the amazing pool complete with a rock waterfall, to the covered outdoor kitchen/bar with cushy chairs, to the secluded covered swing out by the front pasture, to the awesome rocking chairs on your own cabin's front porch, there's a peaceful, comfortable spot to sit and enjoy the scenery and serenity. Our cabin was plenty roomy and super comfortable, with a nice size bathroom and shower, stocked with nice linens. The kitchen is stocked with place settings and silverware and our cabin had an awesome percolator! The outdoor kitchen, just steps from the cabins, is fully stocked with pretty much everything you need for prep and cooking most any type of meal. We made eggs and bacon for breakfast and grilled steak and veggies for dinner. My favorite part of our stay was all of the awesome animals scattered throughout the property! Animal watching is so relaxing and enjoyable. You can walk over to pet one of the many beautiful horses or checkout the different breeds of cattle, including longhorns. If you are lucky, you will get a glimpse at the different exotics living on the ranch, including oryx and elk! The amazing host, Darrell, went out of his way to take us on a ride around the property to try to catch some more of the livestock and wildlife living on the back 40. He showed us some of the awesome additions and expansion he is working on at the ranch. The place is already amazing as it is! But Darrell keeps reaching for the stars and it is very apparent that he works hard and is very proud of the ranch. Rockin' Star Ranch is an out of this world romantic weekend retreat, family getaway and special event venue. Rockin' Star Ranch has everything you need to get away from it all! When my wife told me we had been invited to join her family on a weekend trip to Rockin' Star Ranch I was really hesitant because I wanted to relax and enjoy some down time from our usual busy schedule. I grew up around ranches so I was pretty familiar with the living situations and condition of old ranches in Texas. When I pulled up to the ranch I was thinking this was going to be a weekend filled with horrible sleeping arrangements In outdated rooms and the smell of cow manure in the air, but once I drove through the gates of Rockin' Star Ranch I was immediately blown away by the beautiful pastures and ponds in the distance. Driving down the gravel road to Find a beautiful Home that was surrounded by the most amazing little rustic cottages, horses running in the fields just yards away, exotic animal making brief appearances to graze in the pastures was such a breath of fresh air and change of pace from the hectic nine to fives that had consumed our lives. My youngest is such an animal lover and outdoorsman so he loved being ablE to interact with the animals. Feeding the horses was definitely the highlight of his weekend. My 8 year old had such a good time with his cousins kicking the soccer ball around and taking turns touching the sky on the seesaw. When the sun went down and the adults started their fun it was filled with Corn hole, Jenga, and barbecue. I'm not much of a drinker and tend to pass on the drinking to avoid drinking and driving so to have the luxury of enjoying a drInk with family knowing I was only feet away from my bed was Peace of mind that made the weekend so much more worth it. While the amenities were amazing and would make me load the truck in a heartbeat for another weekend here I would say it was the Southern hospitality of the owners that made our weekend unforgettable. I think it goes without saying that this was a Five star experience that I would recommend to any family looking to enjoy a piece of Texas in its truest form. read more

Our family is always looking for something off the beaten path. For a mother/daughter getaway with my 11 year old, Rockin Star Ranch was the perfect fit. Then a simple getaway became The Storm of the Century in Texas. With bad weather bearing down, we decided to just go for it. Glad we did Darrell contacted us before our trip to answer any questions and make sure we were aware of possible challenges with the coming snow storm. One, being the well freezing so water gets turned off. My daughter and I were not deterred, we stopped on the way and bought more water. When we arrived, our host John showed us the highlights and graciously moved us to Western Star cottage. The arena, where we originally booked, felt too removed to my daughter for the weather headed our way. He also brought us water when time came to turn off the source. They have a great balance of attentive without being intrusive. It has been a wonderful few days and the cottage has turned into a great calm away from all the crazy. It's bigger than it appears from the outside. My daughter loves having the loft to herself. The queen bed is super comfortable with very soft sheets and I'm kinda picky. Everything from the furniture arrangement to the charming rustic decor gives off a really cozy vibe, which is what you want with negative wind chills outside. And we've had everything we need for a great stay. More than a few times the call of the wild got the best of us and we had to go visit the animals in the arena. It's hard to resist those baby goats! Or check out the wildlife in the back pasture. Or the deer by our cottage. Or the horses everywhere. We also snuck in a round or two of ping pong in the game room. We have to leave and go back to the crazy. Rolling power outages, freezing cold, and crazy drivers, but we have very much enjoyed our time at the ranch and look forward to visiting again soon in warmer weather. read more

Such a wonderful (quick) getaway; a spectacular hidden gem in Brenham!!! We've stayed in the Garden Cottage, Patio Cottage, and the new rodeo arena cabins. LOVED all of them! Stunning views of sunrises and sunsets! The ranch offers family-fun activities such as swimming, fishing, ping pong, horseshoe, petting zoo, biking for the kids, and so much more....... tours of the garden & harvesting their fresh veggies & fruit, petting the horses & new petting zoo animals; glimpses of elk, deer, & cows roaming the property (behind fences), and the chicken coop, the new baby guineas, & new unique Airbnb rooms in the Arena..... Oh! And the event center! Amazing venue for weddings, reunions, parties, & special occasions...... We were in awe of just how beautiful & peaceful it was out there! But what really stole our hearts was the kindness & hospitality of the family, our hosts. They checked on us frequently, made sure we were comfortable & accommodated, invited us to the main ranch house to hang out, let all the kids play together, looked at the stars through the telescope, ate homemade cupcakes baked from scratch by the owner's daughter, and played cards. This kind of authentic human interaction is so few and far between in a society where we are mad-dashing from one activity to another, faces glued to our phones, even while on vacation/during travels. I cannot thank the family, hostess, & staff of Rockin Star Ranch enough for showing us how to slow down & appreciate living in each & every moment while we were out there! My daughter and her fiancé booked this venue for their recent nuptials February 11, 2021. It was a small intimate ceremony. Whether your ceremony is like ours small and intimate or a large event with hundreds of people. They can accommodate you and take care of your needs. Since we live in Houston we also booked several of the cabins so that we could enjoy the wedding & stay the night instead of driving back home. Good thing too given the snow/ice storm of the century was about to rain down on us. First of all, let me tell you the venue is absolutely beautiful. The photos online do not do it justice. Elaine catered to us the entire day making sure that we had everything we needed. She was amazing and felt like she was part of the family by the time we left. One of the cabins that I had reserved online was actually a bit small for our needs so Elaine called Darrell right away and they upgraded us to another cabin. Darrell was amazing in trying to book the cabins and helped us get everything squared away. He answered questions and helped through the entire process. The cabins were top notch and very clean and well taken care of. Since it was pretty much freezing during our stay, they had the heaters turned on and we were warm and cozy. The wind was howling. While we didn't get to see much of the outside property due to the inclement weather, we did get to go visit the new baby pigs and goats in the barn, along with the horses and the deer. The kids enjoyed every minute of that. We all loved it so much that we plan on making another trip in the spring or early summer to spend time together and hang out and enjoy the property and possibly do a trail ride. I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful property and the people that run it. They are phenomenal. Highly recommend!! Can't wait to get the pictures back. read more

My family and I had a wonderful stay. We got there a little earlier than planned, but Darrell was ver accommodating and let us check in early. Our cabin was so rustic, and was fully stocked with everything we needed ( we literally could have shown up with just our clothes!). It was so comfortable, clean, and well stocked, it was just perfect. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, we were delightfully surprised at how friendly and helpful the staff was. No matter what we needed, they were there to help out. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous and well kept. Loved that it felt like home. The kids loved the animals, and especially the horseback ride! We did an early morning ride and it was perfect! It really was great to see the kids actually playing and exploring. We were given a tour, and they even have rooms in the arena near the horse stalls which i thought were really neat. But found the Event Center ( huge venue) to be very beautiful. The Bridal Suite was absolutely breathtaking! Definitely what a girl imagines a bridal suite to look like. We were also given a tour of the back pasture. The kids loved the ride, and really enjoyed feeding the cows. I cannot say enough how beautiful Rockin Star Ranch is. It's only an hour drive and definitely worth it. We can't wait to go back in the summer time to enjoy the beautiful pristine pool. It's still a little too chilly. My family and I stayed two nights at the Rockin's Star Suite. This place was just amazing. The ranch is sprawling and it was a delight to see hills being that we are from Houston. The nature was just what we needed. We got to interact with the horses, goats and their kids, emus, cows. We had access to every area in the Ranch. We felt like we were home. One thing I realized was that although the Ranch was fully booked we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. That is how big the ranch is. My family and I made dinner at the open kitchen and we got to grill amazing steaks and sausages. We toasted marshmallows by the fire pit. We looked up at the stars and could see the sky clearly. We are truly in God's country. The room we stayed at was top shelf. The design of the bathroom was what I would describe rustic-chic. I felt like a celebrity in our room. It was comfortable, stylish, yet true to the outdoor nature aesthetics of living on a ranch. The wife loved the old-fashioned bathtub. The kids loved their beds. I loved the large Persian rugs. Quality is top-notch. Grace was our concierge (in a way). She handles the horses and was very helpful getting us oriented to the ranch and our rooms. Yes there was great wi-fi so we can always connect with the world. But why would you when you can be present in paradise. My family and I are coming back this year. If you are into wide open spaces, petting and feeding animals, swimming in a rad pool, and staying in a cozy cottage, Rockin' Star Ranch is your place! Darrell is a super host, totally accommodating with recommendations and the desire to make your stay as comfortable and fun as possible. We brought along our toddler, who had the most amazing time! In the times of COVID, we wanted to visit somewhere close-to-home (we are from Austin) where we could safely social distance. This was not an issue at the ranch. The outdoor kitchen is awesome and has everything you need to cook and have a delicious outdoor meal. And did we mention the animals? We did, but we'll mention them again. There are a plethora of animals to see and pet, and make sure you get to hop on a hayride for the views and some rare (large) animal feeding! What an amazing weekend! My girls and I were looking for a weekend getaway not too far from home and WE FOUND IT! This beautiful property boasts multiple fishing ponds, tire swings, a swimming pool, outdoor areas to cook, and more farm animals than you can count. My two teenage girls spent a lot of the weekend sitting in the stall with the multiple baby goats while my older daughter and I soaked up the awesome smell of the many beautiful horses. There were pot belly pigs, piglets, Emu's, cows, chickens, pheasants, Longhorns, long horned sheep, audad and more. We stayed in the Oryx room which is located in the barn directly across from the stalls of animals. Extremely quiet, clean and comfortable. You've never really seen stars until you see them from the country. We are already looking for a few weekends to go back! read more

The Rockin Star Ranch is an absolutely beautiful ranch! I loved seeing all the animals running around the property especially the baby goat! There are lots of cows, deer, oryx and even elk that we saw when taking a fun muddy Jeep ride around the property. The Grand Hall is a wonderful location for an indoor event. It is a huge space with a gorgeous stair case, wet bar area and adjoining commercial kitchen. There are also several cottages on the ranch for people to stay, each with several cozy beds and homey southern decor. Best of all, Darrell and family were so welcoming! Rockin' Star Ranch is a breathtaking Facility. The cabins you are able to stay in are beautifully decorated, it gives a cozy country style home vibe. The scenery out there is amazing. Whether you stay for the weekend or have an event booked, you won't get bored there are many things to look at. The outdoor kitchen near the cabins are a nice vicinity for hanging out and barbecuing and there is a fire pit for those cold nights to cozy up to. The staff was nothing short of outstanding. They help you with any needs and are so helpful for the events going on. I will definitely be going back again. Everyone was blown away at how, overall, amazing this location is. We had a Board of Directors' meeting this past weekend at Rockin' Star Ranch. The meeting room was perfect with a spacious kitchen and quick walk to the guest cottages . I stayed in the Garden Cottage and awoke early to a golden sunrise and two hummingbirds enjoying nectar from the flowering plants off the back porch. Saturday night as the rain moved over the countryside, I could see this vibrant rainbow for over 30 minutes. No better place to stay and enjoy views of the owners' cattle, horses, goats, and ostriches. Pool table off of the pool area and outdoor grilling. Fantastic location for a week vacation to enjoy nature or a weekend board retreat. Will definitely return! read more

We really enjoy the Rockin Star Ranch in Brenham. It's about 160 acres in the gateway of the Texas hill country. The property has many unique lodging options from quaint cottages to small houses looking over pastures! We enjoyed swimming in the pool, relaxing by the pond, and loving the cows, chickens, and horses, etc. It's a get-away from the hustle and bustle of the city. we were in awe of the large full service event space that is perfect for weddings and large gatherings.
