10/10 recommend Rockman's! They did a Southern hog roast (in the middle of December!) for a rehearsal dinner, and our guests raved about the food. The staff was extremely professional, organized, and cleaned up after themselves as if they'd never been to the venue. They were super easy to work with throughout the entire planning process, even with a pandemic trying to throw a wrench in the planning. Really wonderful from beginning to end. Rockmans catered our outdoor wedding of 160 guests (plated). The tasting was free, and Scott Rockman made sure we thought through every detail. Scott and everyone else at Rockmans (we also worked with Allyssa) was professional and extremely accommodating. Here are some highlights: -we changed our minds a thousand times and they were ok with that! Really quick to reply. -accommodated gluten free, dairy free, and soy free requests for a few of or guests -no extra charge to travel from their location (Plover) to our venue in Marshfield -we did not feel nickel and dimed, really great value -provided bar tender and let us provide our own alcohol and coffee -- they were totally fine with us using as much or as little of their services as we wanted. They don't lock you into using only them or their products for catering. -their catering costs include the linens (not extra) -really fast and efficient at serving our 160 guests -food was amazing. We got a lot of compliments. Overall Rockmans is a great value, very professional, wonderful to work with, and highly experienced. We would definitely recommend to others for wedding or other events and already have! read more

Nightmare!!! Learn from our miserable, very expensive mistake in having them cater our huge event - GO ELSEWHERE for catering... ANYWHERE ELSE!! I am still haunted by this horrendous experience... Rockmans ruined the evening for our guests... cold food, family style dinner but servers NEVER returned to service guests' tables to refill empty bowls OR to remove the plates or the bowls of food! It also took forever to get food to the guests! Scott Rockman, the owner and manager who we expected to present to supervise did not show up! We were told he was at another catering job!! The small, short handed staff laughed and actually were very condescending and incredibly rude to anyone who begged them for service!! They smirked and said they were doing the best they could... The florist for the event who did a fantastic job was trying to help the guests!! Save yourselves... Go elsewhere!! Horrible... read more

Rockmans catered our daughter's outdoor wedding reception. They had a pig roast with a customized menue, served family style . Rockmans had no problem with using totally new recipes. The food was awesome and the service was great. Reasonable pricing too. read more

Horribly dissapointing to say the least! Waiters were no where to be found when we ran out of food, drinks. They were so rude and in no mood to be bothered with bringing us drinks, more food, and clearing off our table! Scott Rockman was not there, and no one else claimed to be in charge when we asked for the supervisor to complain! Be afraid... There are many good, reputable caterers... Rockmans is not one of them. Sure glad we went with a different caterer for our event! You have been warned! read more

We catered for 100 people at our office and the service and quality exceeded expectations!

Rockmans was the caterer at my daughters wedding. The servers were professional and had a sense of humor. You can tell they liked their jobs. Our bartender was super nice and knew how to take care of us. The food was fabulous. I had many of our guests comment on how much they enjoyed the food. This caterer is one class act. From the meeting to decide our menu to the beautiful delectable edibles elegantly arranged in our home, my husband and I couldn't be happier! We had the most amazing tenderloin, bacon-wrapped dates and more...our guests were all impressed with the deliciousness of every bite. We used Rockman's for our casual cookout wedding reception over Labor Day weekend. The professionalism and customer service were excellent, the food was good, and the prices were extremely reasonable. My review is in regards to A.R's review of rockmans catering. I have been an employee of rockmans for 18 years and have catered 100's of weddings and am extremely proud of what our company offers to our guests and the services we provide. On that note I was the lead kitchen manager at the wedding reviewed by A.R as you read in the post the reviewer was unhappy with the service. Which is surprising to me mostly due to the complimenting call we had recieved from the wedding party the following monday thanking us for a wonderful meal and a great experience for their guests. In regards to the tables being full with dishes the amount of items, plate chargers, multiple glassware and table decor, with the tables provided by the venue the reality of all those items being cleared and the cake being served right after dinner as it was announced by the dj was an extreme push for our staff and almost has to be viewed in a realistic manner. We work very hard and push ourselves to serve and clear the meal as fast and efficient as possible. Unfortunately I feel that in the eyes of the reviewer that the reality of what was expected and what had unfolded were far from achievable by us or any catering company in my opinion. We cater many weddings, graduations, company picnics, charity events and in my experience have dealt with thousands of happy guests and hundreds of happy brides and grooms. We will learn from this event and work hard to prevent reviews such as A.R's. However one bad review out of hundreds of compliments we have received through sites such as this and the testimonials on our website will not steer us away from working hard to be the best catering company in central wi! read more
