Rooms are very spacious and well appointed, and the homemade breakfasts are a treat. The B&B represents great value, especially considering its location to the Chain 'O Lakes. Prepare to wake when the sun comes up as the window shades do not begin to block the rising sun, at least in the bedrooms in the inn. The breakfast was delicious, though heavy on carbs. I hope they consider offering some sort of egg with all breakfasts. Pancakes and French toast are good for breakfast but a side of a protein (other than sausage) should be part of all breakfasts. They have water out all day but it is always room temperature, not very refreshing on a hot day.

You pull up and park right in front of a beautiful porch that spans the length of one side of the house where you can meet other guests who might be out enjoying the weather or having a drink. The owners are very welcoming and the price was super reasonable. The room is very cozy, but complete with all cable channels, great wifi, mini-fridges, and coffee pots. There is also a breakfast available every morning (it's a help yourself to whatever you like environment!) where you can get your usual cereal yogurt etc or hot food like waffles. They also facilitate yoga classes in the living room on certain mornings! The only thing I would advise is to bring your own shampoo because it is the only amenity that they didn't provide. All in all, a great place that I would definitely recommend. A hidden gem!

I worked in…read moreManawa for 3 months and can honestly say that staying with Judy was hands-down better than any hotel/airbnb/b&b/etc I've I've ever stayed at. The rooms and bathrooms are large, VERY clean, and there is a fridge/microwave/coffee bar upstairs which guests can use at any time. The hostess, Judy, is a culinary marvel. Not only did Judy make AMAZING breakfasts every morning, but she remembered what I liked and disliked and made new dishes each morning based on my personal preferences. Besides the incredible food (which is reason enough to stay here, believe me - there were frequently homemade sweets available in the dining area perfect for an after-dinner snack), Judy is the most accommodating hostess you will ever encounter. She let me leave my bike at her house when I would travel home on the weekends, she would make to-go breakfast bundles when I had to go in for work early, AND she would even get up early to heat up the breakfast before I left (which would sometimes be as early as 3am). An added bonus is her adorable cat, Bob. Needless to say, The Lindsay House is more than a quaint stop on one's journey. It's a destination in and of itself.

Judy's breakfasts are the best food in the area. We love having pets around in the morning and evening, but I'm sensitive to cat dander. Why not include the use of a paddle board rather than charging an insane amount to rent? Add the perk of a few bundles of fire wood? We ended up canceling our reservation for this summer (2024) because we couldn't justify yet another increase. Staycations shouldn't break the bank. It's a shame, because the lake is glorious.

The bartender wasted no time in wanting to get us drinks but we just wanted to be seated in one of those empty tables. We said no way we're not going to wait it's okay and left. If you're new to the area like we were I do not recommend going here. I won't be back.
