This is a spot where no reservations are needed, and the cost is extremely reasonable. Anything outdoors is appreciated. Yet it's time for the county to make some repairs. The course isn't as well maintained as it was. There are roots that can make you be more vigilant. Personally I'd rather relax, but pay attention to where you walk. The containers are aging. My hope is this year they'll fix it up. Obviously that's up to the park authority. If you want to try out this activity, this is a good place to start.

I used to walk my dog there almost every day. Being a dog lover, I would like to see an actually enclosed area "dog-park style" where a dog can "legally" be let loose and allowed to run around and play. We once went there just after a major snow storm. While the road leading into the park was totally clear, the actual parking lots were not. I actually got the car stuck, but did eventually get out of there okay. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have tried to access the park the day after a major snowstorm, but my dog and I loved our daily walks there so much that we hated to miss a day.. In my opinion, this park is way under-utilized. Not too crowded on most days, including weekends.

The playground next to the splash pad is big, new, and accommodating to littler kids. The ground is that cushioned material so falls are less devastating. This park is also always very clean. The other facilities like bathrooms, fields, trails, courts, etc all look great as well!
