From pricing to customer service to activities... everything was amazing! My boyfriend brought me on a date to Rockberry Ranch a couple weeks ago and it was so beautiful and fun! We actually went on a gloomier day but it was still pretty amazing. We went right as they opened because we didn't want to miss out on the strawberry picking. I believe it was $6 for a pint and $10 a bucket and we chose to do the bucket and there were SO MANY STRAWBERRIES! And really good and ripe ones too! There was so much to do as well! They had a little petting farm with goats and sheep and you could buy treats to feed them, there was also an area where you could pick flowers and buy a vase to pick them. There were so many photo ops as well. Every single person there was super nice and friendly! They also had included these fun games that were carnival- like games to throw basketballs into nets and footballs and ride around in these little tricycle things. It was really nice. They have seasonal passes and year long passes. I'm definitely thinking of getting a year long pass because of the different fruits and veggies they have around the year!

This is a fun place, especially for families. There were pumpkins, pick your own flowers where they give you vases to fill, and plenty of Instagram spots and activities. Lots of fun fall areas to take photos. There were many activities for the kids including jumping pillows, crafts, petting zoo, and a play area. It was fun to see animals, take photos, and I got a yummy strawberry lavender frozen wine. It was a really hot day without indoor areas and fyi I only saw portable potties. Overall it was a fun fall activity but did not do many extras for to the cost.

Happy Fall Y'all!! Such a fun family experience. I have seen a ton of videos and photos of this place and finally had the opportunity to come here with my family to see for myself. So many things to do from petting and feeding farm animals, food trucks, flower fields, pumpkin patches, games, you name it. Love that there are many photo ops through out the ranch perfect for capturing those precious moments. We will definitely be back every time they are open to the public.

Wow, wow, wow! This place is absolutely amazing. I visited Rockberry Ranch last week for their Pumpkin Fest with my family, and we had the most wonderful time. We went later in the day and the place was almost empty which allowed us to let our kid run around free without any worries. I thought we could buy tickets at the entrance, but they make everyone purchase their tickets online so to save you some time, I would recommend buying the tickets ahead of time. The ranch itself is absolutely beautiful, with so many activities for the kiddos and many photo opps all across the ranch. My kid absolutely loved the wooden playscape and all the activities they have around that area. They also have a wide variety of food trucks selling anything from snacks, frozen treats, tacos and even wine and beer. This place definitely has something for every age, and I can't wait to come back again next year or for another of their seasonal festivals.

What a wonderful ranch a short drive away from the city. Headed out here for the pumpkin patch once the temperature finally dropped below ninety degrees. I planned on only staying an hour or two, but it was so fun I ended up staying most of the day. Tickets are a bit less online, and the ranch is cashless. There are so many cute and unique places to take photos. My favorite was the pumpkin house! So adorable! For activities, there are options for the little and big kids. Tractor rides, bounce pads, bee train, pick your own flowers, petting zoo, face painting, and playscapes. Some of the activities are an extra cost but still reasonably priced. For food choices there are different food trucks and a beer/wine booth. Make the drive totally worth it!

This was my second year going here for one of the fall weekends. The funnel cake and caramel apple slices are my favorite. They have a million photo ops. There's also a petting zoo and you can feed the animals. It's fun for a very fall weekend activity with girlfriends, especially for the fall food treats and drinks. BUT it is definitely made for families and kids. There are so many kid activities. They can play and explore while the parents get plenty of food and drinks, and take lots of photos of the kinds at all the photo ops like a pumpkin barn, swing, mini trains, painted walls, an inflatable jumpy house, and way more. I saw one family dressed up for like a fall photoshoot with their kids. Seriously, take your kids here they'll love it. Bring a hat or sunglasses because it gets very sunny and hot no matter the season. If you plan early enough you can save money buying your ticket online ahead of time. Otherwise the entry is a bit expensive, especially since you have to pay for food and some activities like the seasonal pickings (flowers, pumpkins, etc). But there are plenty of free activities too. Don't wait for one of the last weekends of a theme to go, because then all the pumpkins/flowers/blackberries will be picked. My mom wanted to go blackberry picking so I took her here on the Sunday of their second to last weekend of the blackberry picking schedule, and they were closed for the day because everything had been picked on Saturday. I checked their website that morning to make sure they were open but it hadn't been updated to say they were closed :( but they're usually very up to date on the website.

Good times at the rancho Rockberry. Memorial Day weekend we met some friends for an adventure in the outdoors. Easy to find via the GPS, and about 45min from San Antonio, we found our way to Rockberry. You can pet some goats if you want, or kiss a llama for a quarter. We were there to pick some berries, but found we could also pick some Texas lavender, sunflowers, and others. There were food trucks serving beer, wine, and berry filled lemonade. There is also food, but we didn't try anything this trip. They take cash and card. Plenty of activities for the kids, whether it's duck races, tractor rides, a covered inflatable bouncy, or berry pickin'. It was all fun. Sweet unplanned trip to Poteet. I recommend a stop if you are on this side of the city with some spare time and in a pickin' mood. Tip: Bring sunscreen and bug spray. You'll need both. Tip2: You can save some cash on the entrance by ordering tickets online. Military discount regularly, but free that weekend.

It's my favorite time of the year -- it's FALL Y'ALL. Bring out your cute fall outfits, your sunscreen, and a fedora if you'd like. There are PLENTY of picture opportunities at Rockberry Ranch and they do NOT disappoint. This is a great opportunity to bring your little ones to run around the various parts and enjoy some sun (or shade!) while they do so. There are plenty of food trucks around the ranch offering a variety of snacks as well. My toddlers LOVED the sandpit, the bounce / jump pumpkins & the petting zoo. As stated previously, there is a LOOOOOOOT of running space, even if there is a crowd. This fall season, Rockberry Ranch is open Sat - Sun from 10-6? 9-6pm? and you have the ability to buy the tickets online. $16.95 online (+ processing fees) or $18.95 at the gate. You only end up saving 0.34 cents per ticket by purchasing online (I'm a numbers gal). Rockberry Ranch also offers other opportunities that you can pay an additional price for. You can pick your own pumpkins, lavender, participate in a butterfly release, etc.

Highly recommend visiting! Went on opening weekend! My 18 month old enjoyed all the activities, from a bouncy house, bubbles, sandbox, rubberducks! We didnt plan on doing strawberry picking; but we did flower picking which was not bad for 10 bucks! There are also lots of photo opportunities. Would recommend bringing your own water, and even though there's food options, recommend to bring small snacks for the fam!

Sweet people, super delicious food well worth the price and so very kind and accommodating! They did so well with the egg hunt and strawberry picking!

Went in October! Cute pumpkin patch! We went early, because Texas weather past 12 = hot. So we were with a lot of families with small children. If you do not have a small child maybe go later in the day. They did offer alcoholic drinks. They were okay. $13 for a frozen lemonade basically. Loved the flower beds. And great option of pumpkins. $8 for a good size. You can tell they know people appreciate a good photo opportunity. Kid friendly - I just don't have kid. So wasn't for me yet.

Rockberry Ranch is a new spot in Poteet with lots of things for the whole family. I went on the Sunday of the opening weekend for their spring festival. Their Facebook and Instagram promoted strawberry picking. However, they said they were all picked out within hours on the first day and wouldn't be available for picking until the following weekend. What a bummer. Aside from strawberry picking, there are a lot of small things for the kinds to enjoy, from tractor rides, to photo ops with hay in the shape of animals, and even a small petting zoo. There was a baby sheep that was born just three days prior to my visit! The tractor rides get pretty bumpy and dusty, so be prepared for that. There were a few vendors there, but the line for the food gets pretty long and backed up. The family had a good time and that's the most important part. I took one star off because we didn't get to pick strawberries. While Poteet isn't far, it's not close enough for me to go back just to pick strawberries.

Beautiful place to spend your day with the family or a friend. The sun is NO JOKE. Please bring a fan and stay hydrated. I went this weekend with my friend and we did the u-pick flowers and had a great time. We purchased blackberry basil frozen lemonade which saved us from the heat! Lots of fun activities to do around here and picture opportunities

I read about Chickamaw Farm in a May 2008 article in the Austin Chronicle as having U-pick organic…read moreblueberries. I love U-pick of any kind, so I was intrigued. The article said "call first!" - so I did, and talked to super-friendly owner Bill McCranie. He gave me the lowdown on how the blueberry crop looked, when would be the best time to come, and specific directions. On a beautiful June morning, we packed up the kids and headed out. It took less than an hour to get there from Central Austin, mostly along 290, about 15 miles past Elgin. After getting through the cattle gate, we were greeted by a big group of very friendly dogs (our kids were a bit afraid at first, but warmed up quickly). Bill came to meet us, gave us buckets and some good advice (don't touch the electrified fence wire, don't worry about the cows - they are friendly, watch for fire ants, etc.) and we got to work. There were TONS of berries the morning we were there, and the kids were thrilled. We ended up getting about $50 in blueberries (at $7 a pint) - as fresh as they come and totally organic. There is nothing like eating a just-picked blueberry right off the bush, still warm from the sun. It was a great outing, and a great way to support a sustainable, earth-friendly business. The posting by Hoa N. covers pretty much what you will need to bring, so I won't repeat it here, except to re-emphasize the "closed-toed shoes" advice. Bill would prefer you call first before heading out so that he can let you know if someone will be there to let you in. He'll also let you know if there is enough fruit out to make the trip worthwhile, and provide very specific directions. The farm isn't marked with any signage, so follow Bill's instructions carefully. Bill, spouse Nancy and family have great plans for their farm - they plan to add fishing and other activities as time and effort permits. We'll be going out there again for sure as they grow.

Nothing beats picking fresh blueberries off the tree and eating as you go along. The property is beautiful and an overall great place to take the kids for a weekend out in nature. We're looking forward to going back and taking our son on a tractor ride, fishing for catfish or purchasing some grass fed beef!!
