This is a popular spot, so when we initially reached out, we were put on their waitlist for a couple of months. Let me tell you - it is absolutely worth the wait to send your dog to PLP! Our pandemic puppy is almost 2, but she still has a lot of that youthful energy. It can be a struggle to get her the level of playtime she needs, and that's why I love dropping her off here 1-2 times a week. She comes back absolutely exhausted, and the photos PLP shares on its Facebook page are all the evidence I need to know that she's having a wonderful time! I also appreciate their "contactless" drop-off and pick-up system. When you arrive, you simply send the PLP team a text with your parking spot and your dog's name, and they'll bring them right out to you in less than five minutes. You don't even have to fuss with a credit card, as they keep one on file and charge you upon pick-up. We have yet to board our pup here overnight, but I have no doubt she'd be well looked after. PLP keeps someone on-site at all times - which cannot be said about many kennels in the area. I cannot recommend Peace Love and Paws enough. Your furry friend will absolutely love this local spot!

We LOVE Peace Love and Paws!…read more Ever since moving to the East side of Nashville, we had our eyes and hearts set on getting our little dude, Tucker, into Peace Love and Paws and we are beyond happy it happened! Brittany was a pleasure to communicate with at the start when we were getting Tucker set up to be a "student" here. Her, along with Darlene and Paige were always so cheerful, excited and kind in calls and emails. The process of getting him set up for school was so easy! We provided his records, along with details about him and then set a date up for a test run...and of course he passed and is now a full time student here! The way they work is by appointments, so you must choose days to have set appointments for your pup. We chose to have Tucker in school Tuesday and Thursday each week. If we need to cancel or shift, we send the team a note at least 24 hours in advance so they can let another pup come in his place. You can pay by the day or do a 10 or 20 day package which gets you a slight discount. We started with the 10 day package. Drop-off and pick-up are curbside, so you pull up and into a numbered spot, then text them your pets name and the number...then they come out to scoop em up, or bring them out at the end of the day. Easy and hassle free! They are located on the side of 65/24, which provides easy access from the highway, Trinity Lane, Dickerson Pike, Brick Church, etc... Another thing I enjoy and appreciate here is they post lots of pictures daily on their Facebook page. So, I can keep a check on all my little dudes new friends and his days! Overall, we are so happy to be part of the Peace Love and Paws family! Tucker goes bonkers when we say "school" at home, so we have to be careful!

Washing this guy is a pain, but I figured I would use somebody else's tub rather than make mine dirty. :-) I'd just cut him when I got home. Spot's was great! Super friendly staff, the tubs had built-in dispensers with four different types of shampoos that all smelled wonderful, all the towels and brushes you need, and even some warm sugar cookie cologne for the end. Washing your dog and professional bath with a restraint makes a huge difference - we were in and out in 35 minutes, and that included drying and using the 'evil' blow dryer. ALSO - they have TWO Tesla charging stations! I know that's not a huge selling point, but it was a pleasant surprise for me and I got to top off my charge while taking care of Koda. Enthusiastically recommended.

Yesterday I had my Doodle groomed and noticed an extra charge of $20 dollars written on the bill. It said Doodle Fee. I asked the associate what that meant and she said oh it's just an extra fee for Doodles. I asked her why and she stated it's because they started getting so many in the store. So I said that makes no sense at all! It's just a grift then. She said not necessarily sometimes they are in bad shape. I said well Angus is not in bad shape. He is well taken care of and he is an easy groom. The groomer has told me that he is a very good boy and that he kisses her the entire time. I then told her there is a fee for de-matting so her explanation really makes no sense. I told her that I was not ok with paying the fee. I said I will have to take him somewhere else and she casually said "Ok". She then walked to the back and spoke to someone I guess. She didn't bring Angus and said "The Doodle fee has always been there and you just didn't see it." She also stated they went up on all their prices which I didn't care about at all. She sat there blankly staring at me and said that's the price do you want to add a tip. I was furious but I paid and left. So if you have a Doodle instead of a Poodle you should stay away from this place because I also asked if that was the case and I was told the blanket charge just applies to Doodles.

This is a story of the "sunshine" that Critter Calvary Rescue brought into our lives nearly 13…read moreyears ago. Here's how it happened! Our chocolate lab "Godiva" died in 2013. After reviewing hundreds of dogs online, my husband and I chose an amazingly beautiful 2-year old golden retriever-lab mix with variegated shades of golden fur. She was stunningly beautiful BUT she had suffered an extremely traumatic, near-fatal accident which had left her with a painful and lame hind leg. It was because of Critter Calvary Rescue and its associated volunteers' efforts that she got another chance at life! And once we knew about her, we thought she and we would be a perfect match--she was lame and we were "seniors" (not moving too fast ourselves: we were aged 72 at the time)! Candace, I hope you are reading this! If so, do you remember this special dog I'm describing? Her name was "Sunshine." As I recall, on the day that you had arranged for our pickup of "Sunshine" (part of a transport you'd arranged between Tennessee and Massachusetts) in early January 2014 , there was a snow storm, a storm that was so bad that it prevented her pickup in Winchester, Virginia. So "Sunshine" necessarily travelled on to the final destination of that delivery run. Again, Critter Calvary Rescue came to her (and our) rescue, and arranged for her care and boarding (at the terminal point of the trip) until her return trip to Virginia oiled be arranged. Once that happened and we finally got our "Sunshine," a fabulous 12 year long adventure began in hers and our lives! We are so very grateful to CCR and its foster volunteers for saving "Sunshine's" life, for rehabilitating her, for believing in her potential and advocating for her, and lastly for delivering her safely into our lives--despite the many challenges involved! But the impact of Critter Calvary's rescue of "Sunshine" was much greater than just the impact on us, it was far broader! Despite the pain she always had, she had a gentle and loving nature--and touched many lives! She universally was beloved by everyone whose life she affected. And there were many! Of her nearly 13 years in our family, half of those years (December 2019-April 2026) were spent in our Senior community here Malvern. PA. She provided love and therapy to all she encountered here --until her death, at nearly 15, earlier this year. Because of her early history and injury, "Sunshine" needed a lot of love and care--but we are so very happy (and were priviledged) that we could provide it. That's the effect she grew to have on our lives! We felt she gave us so much more than we could ever give her. So, I'd like to give a really huge "shout out" for Candice Giles and the Critter Calvary Rescue foster volunteers for their care and nurturing of "Sunshine" and of all the dogs CCR has rescued. Considering the impact that "Sunshine" has had on so many lives, I can only conclude that the cumulative effect of Critter Calvary Rescue's work--the hundreds of dogs saved, the thousands of lives touched--is incalculable!.
