Hmmm~ Where to start... So when I first started going here I was so overwhelmingly blown away by…read morehow amazing Tessa was & not only w/ her knowledge, but, w/ her natural abilities & willingness to listen/take time/really make sure her client was pleased. I've always been satisfied, and, am the first to admit I can be fussy; I mean, who really isn't when it comes to looking nice?! I've always felt welcomed & heard. Tammy is as amazing & surely the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I would rave to everyone & anyone who I spoke w/ about how great they are. Fast forward & my latest experience really has me bummed out. I couldn't get in b/c getting an appt. is very difficult w/ the schedule lately & especially if you prefer your normal stylist. I felt comfortable enough to try someone new & trusted that I would be just as pleased. No offense b/c this person is super kind/nice & nothing personal, but, I surely wish that the professionals would have walked me through a bit more w/ how my grays would react adversely to the bleach highlights. My hair is soo super dry now & my nice & normally long layers are super choppy & unruly & are driving me nuts. I loved that Tessa was so conservative w/ her charging me & she's always charged me the very same amount. It's been nice for sure. I was charged much more (I respect the fact that most likely due to the dumb highlights I thought I would be pleased w/), but, still NOT happy that I spent so much to now be so unhappy & stuck w/ a dried head of choppy layers that aren't falling smooth & as sweet as they used to. Again, yes, fussy, but, when we go to a salon & especially one we've gone to many, many times b4 I would surely hope to be happy enough w/ the hairstyle/services at least until the next time. Not so. I'm bummed.:((((( ***Update*** Not quite sure how to update, but had to b/c let me tell you Tammy the owner is the bomb. She's amazing & quickly got back to me. She has provided me some products to help & did so ever so quickly. I've revised my review b/c she has reached out to me w/ kindness & I appreciate that.

I alway say, "It's a NYC salon in Penfield..all the talent and craft with zero attitude!" and its taken me so long to write a review because selfishly , I don't want them to get busier than they are! The stylists at BANGZ! are all lovely, accommodating, and never have a one-size-fits-all approach, treating each of us like the individual Queens we are. Their work makes me feel like on every. single. time.

-*Shannon is delightful-she gets 5Stars!*--…read more I have gone many times with Shannon & had a delightful experience (she is super!) but the 2nd last time I went she was busy so I saw Katie who was horrendous. I'd been growing out my hair I showed pics and clearly said I only wanted an inch off. she repeated this back to me. One Inch no more. Then She sliced off over 18". EIGHTEEN INCHES !!! I said was unhappy but there's nothing to be done after that. I asked her to stop cutting. Then she cut a 2nd, different crazy angle. I demanded she stop. Another senior lady came over to try to fix her mistake , she did a 3rd, totally different angle. So 1/2 may head has 3 different angles and the other side was still long. 22" on one side above my neck on the other. I still tipped her 30%, not before grabbing a hunk of my own hair off the ground. I left. This is 2days before my bday too. I went in to talk w manager next day, she excused her with the old "maybe she didn't understand" blah blah... I showed her the ref pics (all super long) and the 18"hair hunk she hacked off me and she couldn't believe it. Other stylists came to look at the mess. Everyone shocked. I said if Katie didn't know difference between 1" vs 18" , she had no business cutting hair. So, They set me up with another stylist to fix it. I she did but I went from the longest hair I'd ever had to the shortest Id ever had. And never planned to have. It was now only 3" in the longest place above the spine's bump at the back of my neck above that from where it had been over 22" long in the longest part of my back the day prior when I'd requested a trim of "no more than an inch". It Took 3 years to grow back close to this and has been 5 years to get it to the same length and in same healthy condition. I waited more than 5 1/2years to write this bc I'm still mad @ that awful Katie. She never admitted fault or said sorry. All her coworkers all shook their heads. The salon made it right but now I had to double tip 30%+ bc I didn't want anyone to say I was cheap or didn't tip +30% +even though she literally ruined my hair for 5 years + wrecked what I'd worked on for five years prior. So basically a decade. I have them 2 stars bc Sharon gets 5stars but Katie dragged them down to 0stars, the place made it right but the experience w/Katie was so poor I can't in good conscience give over 2 stars - it's taken 5.5years to write this as it was that bad and prior to that rotten Katie, the salon itself and Sharon were so good. The lady who ultimately fixed it all did what she could. She was in the awkward position of having to rectify it and also has to work with her still so I understand her neutrality, she was lovely I have since forgotten her name but she was stoic due to circumstances but fine. She saved my head but needed to take off much more due to the 3 misshapen angles in the back quadrant. As such, my over 22" hair was shorter than 3" by the time it was styled. I haven't been back since. Tl;Dr: Shannon = 5 Stars, salon=4 stars, other lady 4stars, Katie = 0 stars, minus due to taking 18 inches off instead of one inch.

Very disappointed with my experience at Luxe Spa…read more I had a facial on 9/5 that unfortunately did not meet my expectations for a nearly $200 service. The dermaplaning felt rushed, and afterward my skin was noticeably irritated, which is unusual for me as someone who has had dermaplaning done regularly. The overall experience also wasn't particularly relaxing. There were several instances where products or jars were placed down loudly enough to startle me while I was trying to relax. For a service marketed as a relaxing, luxurious experience, those details really matter. To be fair, the esthetician was very friendly and kind, so my concerns are not about her personality. What has been even more disappointing is the lack of customer service afterward. I emailed Luxe Spa on 9/8 explaining my concerns and asking someone to reach out to discuss the experience and how it could be made right. After receiving no response, I followed up, and I still have not heard anything. I intentionally reached out privately first because I wanted to give the business an opportunity to address my concerns before leaving a public review. Unfortunately, being ignored after spending nearly $200 on a service feels extremely unprofessional. I expected much more from Luxe Spa and will not be returning.
