I did a to go order before work. Went to eat before clocking in and the fish in my roll was not edible on 4/8 pieces. Scales and skin. Called the restaurant and was told that was not possible. They told me if I could not bring it back immediately there's nothing they could do. I told then I work til 11. So she repeated there was nothing she could do, and also added their fish did not even come *like that* which implied I was being dishonest. So, I took pictures and now I'm posting reviews. $17 for an 8 piece roll is already steep, $17 for 4 pieces of sushi is ridiculous...much less being insulted. read more

Food has really gone down hill. Our check was almost 150 dollars, which I'm not complaining because our family likes to eat, service was ok, but several of our dishes weren't prepared or made how they should be. I'm not sure if the location is struggling financially and they are skipping and cutting corners but something is up. I only took a picture of the punk rock roll, not only was it dry, but it was missing the two sauces on top, and the strawberry jalapeño topping didn't even cover the top of the sushi, and the h on top was dry and had a weird smell and taste. I told our server and she said that's how it's supposed to be. I'm not combative but this is one of my favorite rolls and is almost 20 dollars for one roll..... it would've been nice if they would try to correct the issue. Ordered a sushi roll to go and 1 1/2 hrs later they still didn't have it ready...mid ramen good wontons. Waited 45 minutes for simple dine in orders it was cold when it came out...I think they're on drugs. About 5p on a Thursday. Will not go back, I'm sure they won't miss me tho. Would not recommend. Been here a couple times, really thought I'd written a review for this location. It was a Saturday afternoon about 1:45, surprisingly they were still pretty busy from the lunch crowd. We were seated in one of the few open booths at the back of the restaurant. Waiter was quick to get our drink orders and check on us to see if we were ready to place our meal orders. My wife went with the Volcano Roll (California roll topped with baked crabmeat, eel sauce, spicy mayo and crunchy flakes - whole roll is baked) (5 out of 5). Actually, this may be my favorite roll I've ever had. Crabmeat was the perfect topping and really enjoyed the fact that the roll was baked. I went with the Def Leapord Roll (Red Tuna, crabmeat and cream cheese, Whole roll is Fried and topped with spice mayo, eel sauce and crunchy flakes). This roll was pretty good as well, but didn't have as much flavor as the Volcano Roll - My wife actually preferred this one, so that worked well .... we swapped and were happy! I'd give this one 3 out of 5 stars. As far as sushi goes, I do feel like they are on the spendy side of sushi bars and our two rolls, a water and a sweet tea went for about $30 (not including tip). We ate here on a visit to Gadsden. It was a Monday, so there was not much to choose from - I guess a lot of places in the area aren't open on Mondays. The rock and roll theme is carried out well - pics of rock stars, the lights are drums, the menus are album covers, and they have rock music playing. But a restaurant is all about the food. I ordered the creamy tonkatsu ramen and it was really good. I loved the little pink and white saimin fish cake in it, and the soft boiled egg had extra flavor from being cooked in soy sauce. For the price, though, you'd think you could get both halves! The pork belly was great - crunchy meat part and melty fatty part. I could have done without the nori, but that's OK, I just didn't eat it. My daughter was dying to try the riceless Green Room sushi with the cucumber wrap instead of rice. She wasn't impressed with it at all. She also had the fried rice, and we shared the spider roll. The two pieces on each end had a good bit of the soft shell crab, but the other pieces didn't seem to have any, or were so small that they were overlooked. Not being from the area, I don't know how this sushi or ramen compares to other places around here. In general, the ramen was great, although a little pricey. The sushi was mediocre. I'd go back for the ramen, but I'd look elsewhere for great sushi. read more

I love thIs chain!! In Gadsden, it's in the old White Palace building, which has priceless memories for me. The sushi is top-notch and I love that they play videos. I could watch all day.
