This place has a huge range of facilities including haul out and service for small to very large vessels. They also have well appointed cabins and a marina capable of handling a large range of boat sizes. We have had a seasonal dock there, starting this season and have had nothing but great experiences. We have had repairs done on both of our boats, a 29 foot CC and our 19 foot fishing boat. Pricing is reasonable and the convenience of having this level of service available in a marina situated in the middle of the St. Mary's River is all you could ask for. Wifi and power are available dockside. They also have a large indoor storage facility as well as space for outside storage. Opportunities to improve: No fuel yet, though I believe that is in the works. Though not full yet, I suspect the marina will fill up with seasonal folks soon, so jump on this one soon.

We were 3 senior ladies. Dean and his mate Jesse put us at ease right away. We have lots of good laughs and conversations like we had been old friends. The sad thing for us was the mayflies and other insects had just hatched 2 or 3 days prior and the fish were not biting per them and other fisher people. But we managed to pull in a 2 lb salmon and approx. same size northern pike. Dean cleaned and filet our salmon which we grilled that evening for dinner. Delicious!! Again we couldn't have ask for better guides and really enjoyed our morning along the St. Mary's river. If we are ever back this way we would definitely fish with Dean again.

This park is the best spot to view the famous Mackinac Bridge from the Upper Peninsula. The park has a visitors center that includes lots of information on the construction of the bridge, how it was done and such. There is also a video on loop. There are restrooms, too. Plenty of parking and lots of room for larger vehicles, too. Please take a moment to pay your respects at the Bridge Memorial that is dedicated to the five men who lost their lives in the construction of the bridge and since who were working on it. We are on the Lake Michigan side of the bridge - the other side is Lake Huron. If you want to dip your feet in the cold water, you can do that here. We decided to visit the Falls today as it is only about a half hour from our current campground…read more You do have to have a state of Michigan recreation pass you can either buy an annual pass or just the day pass which we did which was $12 for out-of-state It is only about a quarter mile walk back through the woods, bring some bug spray and you'll get a decent view of the fall, but if you really want to get a little closer, you'll need to take the pretty long ramp way, which is wheelchair friendly to get all the way down to a huge viewing platform to get the picture that we took The path is all wide and paved, and even on a Thursday mid morning, it was pretty busy Today was a little marked by the fact that there is a lot of smoke and ash from the Canadian wild fires drifting over into the upper Peninsula, but we still were able to get a decent view Parking was free, although the lot is not very large so plan accordingly. There is also pretty limited cell phone service, from Verizon anyway, on the way out here so make sure you've got your maps downloaded. Clean restrooms are at the entrance to the trail as well

I was told I wasn't allowed to have my hammock up and had to remove it. Since I couldn't use my hammock I couldn't use the site and asked for a refund No refund was given, they just cancelled it and returned 40 percent of what I paid. The ranger was rude and unhelpful. So frustrating to have a terrible experience after 10 years of enjoyment.

Great park to sit and watch the ships go by, enjoy the birds (ducks pretty much all the time -…read moreothers are more seasonal), not far enough to escape the sounds of the city unless you have noise cancellng headphones. Lots of benches to just sit and chill. Places to fish along the bank, as well as a little fishing pier. During the winter months the snow is not cleaned up on the road or benches; you are on your own. People still crive into the park so it is accessible by vehicle or you can walk in (it's not that big). Bring something to sit on if the benches might be wet or snow covered. Parking in the park is available, or you can park in the lot just outside the park and walking. Dogs are welcome, but should be leashed if there are oter folks in the park. During the really cold months, and bad weather your pup can run free as the park tends to be relatively empty. Poop bags for your do are available at the entrance / exit. Please cleanup after your dog. Don't miss Rotary Park if you're in the Soo.

We stayed in the big house on the water, it looked beautiful on the outside but once inside the nightmare began.The house was dirty upon arrival, trash under some beds, dust everywhere, on lamps, railings, stands. Sinks not attached to the wall, sinks not draining, broken toilet, MOLD in the master shower. Outlets not working, wifi only reached the floor it was on and was spotty. No curtains in bedrooms or bathrooms, except the bedroom with MOLD on both of the windows and window sills. Mold and what lookes like food waste under the crisper in the refrigerator. The oven hasn't been cleaned in what looks like forever, oil stains and food particles covering the entirety of every surface in the oven. Friends and family staying in the smaller cabins were horrified with their condition, bathrooms, propain, and doors not working. After all of that the new owners will demand that you pay a $250 cleaning fee.
