The rooms are pretty flash - cool couches and furniture, and a bazillion songs to drunkenly belt out with your friends. You can buy drinks there (no BYO) but the snack choices are not that great, and you can't bring your own food. Expect to be drinking wine from plastic cups and eating Doritos. All class, baby! Tips: The rooms are not soundproof. So no matter how awesome you think your singing is, anyone in the hall outside your room will be laughing at you :) Also, it's a bit hard to find, but just tell your taxi driver to take you to the Karaoke bar that is next to the Louis Vuitton store in Queen Street. We explained that the website says the place is open until 3 and their response began to change each time we continued to press for an explanation. We heard a group singing karaoke down the hall and wondered how they could be closed with patrons still in the establishment, to which they replied "we are full." Which she immediately amended and and said "no we are not full." I asked them to explain why they wouldn't serve us and they replied "we stop entry at 12". Why does the website say 3 then? They replied that they can stop entry whenever they feel like it and proceeded to tell us other karaoke locations nearby. Terrible customer service. I don't understand why they didn't want our service and why they persisted in refusing our money, I also don't understand why we couldn't have been given a logical and truthful explanation for being turned away. I liked how they incorporated pinball, planko, pool, and ball maze into the games, instead of just got traditional putt putt course. And the directions before each hole was cool. Holes are short, so you'll knock out 18 in about 40 minutes.

The decor is the highlight of Winner's bar - a wall completely covered with beer bottles - an installation that is continued all the way through to the bathroom. The beers are priced just right - ranging from 4 dollars to 6 dollars, and they have daily specials on cocktails, and aren't too light on the pour. If you are in the area, and just want to have a conversation with a friend over a few drinks, I recommend checking out Winners Bar. At the very least, the bouncer will be guaranteed to give you a funny conversation.

Many things have been tried in this space, but the one thing that has appeared to withstand the constant changes is the karaoke machine, which services Family Bar's runoff on weekends. The karaoke machine is right by the door to this awkwardly shaped bar, however, which can often be the deciding factor for a group thinking of going in. Someone's butchering Queen again? Probably time for an early night.

It's dark and moody with great music and the bar staff are good fun. But the two things that turned this little bar into my favourite spot are; asahi on tap and the peppermint chocolate shots. I'm not much of shot taker but this little marvel is heaven. Well worth stopping in and enjoying the people watching with a peppermint shot to warm you up.

No sparkling water (...yet) and no espresso for the espresso martinis we ordered off the menu. "I could whistle something up using the cold brew?" the bartender offered. We weren't fussy and they tasted delicious. They even let us order snacks a couple doors down from P.Road Bistro! Dream result. Great for a couple of lazy drinks, their outdoor tables get good afternoon sun. Just keep in mind it's pretty small so perhaps not great for groups.
