Given that the overall…read morerating for Ballard designs on the site is a 1.6 given my customer experience, I'm not surprised. I've been longtime customer and am extremely surprised. Furthermore, it doesn't seem like the company needs any advice since the rating is so incredibly low. I'll see if this gives me a better outcome?!? I used to work for a big name consulting firm doing operational reviews of companies. This one has a lot of symptoms and cracks that should be looked at. Here's my experience. I ordered a rug from the store in West Palm Beach. The sales rep there told me I could check my rug delivery on the Internet. I never received an email informing me of a tracking number so after several weeks, I called the store, was given one and told that the ship date was February 26 having been to the store in January. February 29, I checked the website and all it said about the order was that it was in process. So I called. The first thing the automated system told me was that I did not match my phone number but yet the correct phone number is in their system. So I spoke to a customer service rep and they told me the order was canceled. The reason being is that my credit card did not go through. I had the previous week had some fraud on my card and it was cancelled. Despite that happening, I received no email or phone call notifying me or to rectify the situation. When I spoke to the supervisor, he said invariably the email was in my junk or spam folder, and I told him that that was not the case. I receive tons of marking emails but yet not one on the status of my order at any time. The customer service rep said items now are on back order. however, the supervisor said they had a few in stock. I was put in the queue. I inquired as to how I could be put first in line in the queue given the situation and non communication. No can-do. This company needs to look at their operations and see where the cracks are and correct them. Very very disappointed.

The man in store ASSUMED I was just parking there but didn't plan to shop, even though two others had pulled in and never entered his store and it was only me he chased down the street yelling HEY NO PARKING! I explained I had planned to come back around, but I had to stop at the post office first, I also explained I had been in his store numerous times. He was extremely rude so I went and moved my car because there was actually a parking spot closer to the post office! So I guess no need for me to walk back and spend my thousand dollars in his store. I will never walk foot in there again. And just for further reference his stuff is way overpriced and not worth at all what he's asking. The two other times I was in, I was dressed extremely nice, today just jeans & a pretty simple shirt. The crappy car he sssumed was mine, that had parked next to me and didn't stop in his store. He let that man just walk on by because it's easier to harass a 53 old woman. I guess he thought that was crap car was mine and he just didn't think I had enough money to shop in his store. Well, I have a lot more money than you think and I also have a big mouth so I will continue telling everybody where NOT to shop! Don't assume anything! RUDE! There was 1 lamp in an opened box (that was kind of beaten up). Finally found an associate, she said the store showed 2 in stock but she didn't know where we could find the 1nd one. Then went back to carpets. Again, showed in stock online. We searched and searched. An associate walked by us and did not return. Went up to check out, waited in line, showed the cashier the bar code and bin number and she went on the radio and called someone to meet us there. (Not sure why she couldn't look it up but...) We walked back to carpets and waited and waited. 10 minutes no one ever came and so we left. Told the cashier that no one came and she was irritated. Everyone complains that businesses are closing. Here is a good example. I was ready to spend a lot of money and NO ONE would help. We will most likely not go back.
