Took in a car to sell on consignment and it disappeared from his lot for 5 days. He wouldn't respond to us and then told us it was at a local auto shop being looked at as part of his warranty process because someone was interested in buying it. We went to local auto shop to find out what they were doing and they got very defensive, asked if they needed a lawyer, and let us know it hadn't been there for the 5 days. He then let us know that the clutch was damaged and we needed to pick it up because he couldn't sell it. We'd had it looked at by local auto repair place a week before we dropped it off for consignment and they hadn't found anything wrong with it. None of it made sense and it was all shady. I wouldn't trust this place. read more

Ok, I had posted a fairly negative review because the car I had bought from them had had a broken spring which made it unsafe to drive, and at first it sounded like they had no intention of working with me on fixing it. But now from a more recent conversation it sounds like they will reimburse me in full for the broken part and its installation. My perspective is as a seller, not buyer. I needed to sell my 2014 Mazda3. I put it on craigslist but didn't receive much response. Thomas from Rocha Family Auto Sales called me and described their service: First, while it is a consignment, there was absolutley no cost to me, they covered everything. We agreed on a fair price I would accept; they keep anything over. This makes the system very simple and fair to both of us. Bottom line, they sold my car with 14 days, and as soon as they received the title from my bank, they cut me a check that day. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Listing with a standard consignment dealer would have probably netted me a thousand less; instead I got a little more than I expected. Sales team responded quickly and were friendly enough. My dislike is the fact of a vehicle that I was looking at they upped the price not once but twice raising it 1000 the first time and another 1000 the second time. To be fair they did say they would honor the original price. Fact is that I was told through text by the sales manager "price went up because we are getting calls about it every 10 minutes." I personally do not see that as a professional business response or stance. read more

I recently attempted to purchase a vehicle from Rocha Family Auto Sales, It was dissapointing to say the least. I went in to test drive the car twice, once to take it to my mechanic to inspect it, to make sure it didn't have any obvious safety issues etc. When I brought the vehicle back to discuss the issues my mechanic found, Michael Sr. was offended and said "maybe this isn't the vehicle for you" there was a clearly broken CV boot cover I had asked them to fix, he was not interested in fixing it, and just kept telling me it was a good truck that had been to Sequim Auto to be inspected. I was still interested, knowing the reality of buying used, you are going to have to fix some things. When I came in the next day, Michael Sr. was with customers, looked at me, and completely ignored me, I was left to make awkward small talk with another employee, after 10 minutes of being ignored I left. Finally, I came back on Friday to buy the truck, in spite of being ignored and feeling uncomfortable with Michael Sr. I was willing to deal with the issues myself, after all, I had done my research and the truck met my needs for my job and lifestyle. With a decent cash down and a solid trade in, Michael Sr. wrote up the purchase order and then took at least 1/2 an hour to connect his computer to the printer, his son ended up printing it. By the time I got to the bank it was near closing, they verbally approved the loan, but couldn't cut the check till Monday AM. I called Rocha Talked to Michael Jr. He said he would pull the truck from the front line and hold it, but would sell it if someone had a cash offer, at which point they would call me immediately. Monday, after hearing nothing from Rocha, I go to bank, pick up the check, call my insurance, go to Rocha only to be informed that they sold the truck! They sold it to someone from out of town, that had a check from a bank (not cash) and they did not have the courtesy to email, text, Michael Sr insisted he called me Monday morning (not Saturday night, when they sold it) and left a message, I went through my phone and showed Michael Jr. there was no voicemail, no missed calls etc. So there I was cash in hand, and a check from the bank, my truck to trade in, listening to excuses and empty apologies... Fighting back tears, and resisting the urge to scream, I was waiting for someone to ask if there was something else on the lot I might be interested in, or if they could help me find another truck, that never happened. Basically, they wasted several hours of my time, my mechanics time, and my bankers time, I was ignored, lied to, and they broke a verbal agreement. This is not how you do business! I would've given them no stars, but that wasn't an option. read more

I am deeply disappointed in our overall dealings with Rocha Family Auto. At first I thought we found an amazing dealership. The salesman, Thomas, and the owner, Michael, were very accommodating and patient while we had to wait for our bank to do their part. They were MORE than willing to hold a vehicle we were very interested in, and did so for 2.5 months. Each time there was a set back with the bank, they were very understanding and happy to wait, at one point, giving us (in hindsight) quite likely a BS story of why they were so willing to wait. Something about it having a salvaged title because the interior needed to be completely re-done and in their county, they couldn't sell a vehicle with a salvaged title, unless it was for cash or trade-in... We wanted to trade-in a much more expensive vehicle for their much less expensive vehicle. It seemed odd to us that a dealership would be so willing to hold (what they said, was) a well taken care of, completely re-done interior and former police vehicle. Once we inspected the vehicle, we discovered there was absolutely no indication the vehicle was ever a police vehicle. Oh, by the way, we had to travel 2.5 HOURS (one way) to get to their dealership. We were looking for a very specific vehicle; Rocha Family Auto had it and at (what we thought) a decent price. The vehicle wasn't even on the lot. The owner wasn't there, even though we had told him, directly, what day we would be there; even sending a text message to the salesman we had been dealing with for 2.5 months, letting him know what day and hour we would be there. The vehicle was at the owner's house, because his family had been using it as their daily driver. While we had to wait for the vehicle to be brought to the dealership, the salesman and owner (when he finally showed up) did a once around our vehicle to check it out. The salesman verbally taking note that it wasn't very clean. We had just taken it through a car wash, vacuumed it and gave it a quick wipe down, only 30 minutes before arriving at the dealership. This was after spending 2.5 hours detailing it 2 weeks before! We had to wait for 30 minutes for the vehicle to get to the lot and when it did, we were surprised to see its condition and wondered if they brought the wrong vehicle. I was assured it was the correct one. Upon inspection, we discovered the vehicle was TRASHED! There is NO WAY the interior was ever completely re-done. There were so many broken parts and pieces-- from the broken console, trim pieces, door reflectors... just to name a few... to the countless mechanical and frame issues. The interior was FILTHY, stained, extremely worn, ripped, gouged, broken, peeling and scratched window tint, some of the controls on the dash panel and gages didn't work, it WREAKED of cigarette smoke... The exterior had large dents, scratches, missing pieces; the transmission had obvious issues, the right rear shocks and struts appeared to be bent and misaligned, most of the windows had been replaced at some point, the lift-gate struts were failing, there were leaks on the bottom of the engine and transmission, the vehicle shimmied from side to side when breaks were applied, no working air conditioning, the transfer case shifted really rough, the running boards that were on the vehicle when advertised, were not on the vehicle when we got there, the wheels and lug covers were OBVIOUSLY, and poorly I might add, spray painted.... Truly, I could take up a lot of space writing about how many things were broken, how many things were wrong and how terrible this vehicle was. When I brought these issues up to the owner, he apologized that the salesman poorly advertised the vehicle. The owner was the one who posted the vehicle to his website. The owner is responsible for all vehicles he is selling, yet he freely blamed the salesman. He also freely put the blame on his wife and children for being so hard on the vehicle. NEVER once accepting responsibility for anything. The damage and filth of this vehicle had been there and had been done for quite some time, yet the owner said it hadn't been on the lot for long. Truly a disappointment, waste of time and money. We would not recommend Rocha Family Auto, based on our experience. read more
