When exploring options during pre-arrangements, written communication felt awkward. It felt less like guidance and more like telling me whatever was needed to secure our business. While we held the funeral off-site at Prairie Gate Senior Living, we relied on Hoy-Kilnoski to livestream the service for family members who couldn't attend in person. We trusted their professional handling of this service. Instead, it was streamed over a weak cellular signal without checking for Wi-Fi (which was readily available at the facility) and without recording a backup video. The stream was virtually unwatchable, leaving family members unable to participate. I turned down offers from relatives who are video professionals because I trusted the business to handle it. A professional video setup was severely lacking. To make matters worse, I had to bring the issue to their attention myself, which resulted in a disingenuous apology. While their pricing was fair compared to local competitors, the lack of professionalism and poor execution during critical moments were deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend this facility.

Mr. Thomas, Deacon Brewer and the staff treated me like family. They made an immensely difficult time easier. People commented how wonderful the staff was at my mother's wake and again at the Church. That is unprecedented. Everything was flawless and reasonably priced. They were a beacon of light during a dark time.

Sadly, we found ourselves in need of a cremation service unexpectedly. After calling about 10…read moredifferent businesses, Chapel of Memories had an affordable package along with a comforting dialogue. Leah (I think that was her name) walked me through everything on the phone and was able to get us a meeting soon after our family member's passing. Robert was great to work with, guiding us through the entire process from writing an obit, putting together a video and ordering flowers. He even let us know about the national cemetery for veterans and spouses which offered free burials. Although we were pursuing cremation, we'd be able to secure a plot to have a final resting place for some of the ashes. We used their facility for our celebration of life service where we could bring in our own food. Danielle was present the entire time, helping to replenish the food line and provide cleanup. The existing space holds about 80 people but there is an expansion that is slated to open in the spring of 2025, allowing for a larger gathering space. Although a tough time for our family, we really appreciated the compassion and professionalism they showed.

Dan was easy to work with and patient as my mom and I considered the different options he presented. The paperwork was all handled at the mortuary. They were really thorough and worked with us to make sure the details we wanted were respected. Their prices are very reasonable compared to what others charge, so we feel like we got a high-value service. It was a great relief to the family.

If I could give zero stars I would. These guys are crooks. I agreed to pay $7,753 for a funeral on…read morepayments. What they don't tell you is that most of your monthly payment goes to "insurance" and that after paying $180 a month for 18 months only paid down the balance $600. The rest went to insurance supposedly. They never told me that by the time I was done making payments the final amount paid would be double of what I was told I would be paying!
