I was more than happy to take that help. Lees' is HUGH! And I mean that in a very good way. Off the bat I noticed how clean and really organized all the inventory is. And so well lit as you can see from my photos. All I needed was bird seed. I buy it in big bags because my birds are like turkeys. They gobble it up. Neighbors had told me about Lees' and said they carried quality animal products and the prices were reasonable. After perusing lottsa bird feed choices... I chose one I wanted to try. A mixture of sunflower chips and nyjer. I have not seen it sold anywhere else... btw. Finches LOVE this stuff. Early Christmas for my birdies!:). I so wanted to take some time and wander around this incredible store. It was like Disneyland for animals. But I had another commitment. Darn! I understand this is a long-time family owned business. Father now to son owner. And one customer told me as I was in line to pay that everyone in El Dorado County comes to Lees' for their animal/pet needs! They sell Western Wear! Yee-ha! I used to go to this place to buy all my chicken feed, because I wanted to give my business to a small local business, but I've switched to Lees Feed in Shingle Springs.

No one called me for 3 days, and then I just got a text with excuses. WTH!?!? When I got upset they came and took my foster mama and babies from me. Within 1 hour of purchasing, one chick wasn't going well. I called to let them know and they kindly told me that they don't guarantee survival and I couldn't exchange it. I had only had it for 1 hour and 20 min of that was driving. That very night the chick died. And to add insult to injury, one of the 3 marans was a rooster. So I am left with 1 hen. $75 for 1 chick and zero customer service.

I have been taking Rudy to Dr. Robinson for years. He did have a murmur and seizures. He's been on…read moreseizure medication for years. He started gagging about a month ago. I took him in. They wanted to do x-rays and a couple of shots that was nearly $500. I'm a senior on fixed income and I said I didn't have the money. Would they be willing to take payments? and they said no, so I had to leave with my dog, not feeling well. as the weeks went by. I was trying to get my dog help elsewhere that possibly would take payments. I could not get a credit card. I'm maxed on credit cards so last week I called the vet because he was panting and I could see he was getting worse and wanted a price on what it would cost for Dr. Robinson to put lil Rue down. She put me on hold came back and said it was probably his trachea because Chihuahuas get that and that cough and everything was causing it to spasm so come by pick up a prescription to relax his trach I told them it wasn't. He wasn't coughing or gagging anymore. He was breathing really bad but I picked up the pills went home. He never got better. I called the office. It was nearly closing time at 5:30 on a Friday I told the girl he was not getting any better. She said "Well it's not a miracle pill". I said I realize that, she said she would have the vet call me so Randy the Vet he did call me back as I told him what was going on and he knew Rudy heart murmur being like a five out of six he said it was probably his heart keep him comfortable and he'd see him on Monday for free. Well Rudy suffered for another five hours before he gasped for air rasping trying to catch his breath, and passed in my arms. I've left a couple messages on him getting bad finally I called him back and said he had passed away and left on their message. Well, it is a week later and I have not heard a call saying they were sorry to hear about Rudy or anything just to call and acknowledge would've been a good thing but they didn't. I found that unbelievable and harsh. I would never take another animal. I get back to that office.
