My car's windshield had a long crack, and I had been putting off getting it fixed just due to the hassle of it. I realized I finally needed to take care of it since it's starting to get cooler and it kept fogging up really bad. I used Yelp's Project feature to get quotes. It was a red flag that some didn't ask for my car's VIN # to ensure an accurate replacement with the exact features needed. Robinson was the most professional option, providing a detailed quote right away and scheduling my appointment. Customer service was great. I asked them to keep my parking and maintenance stickers. They were also great at helping theorize how the crack might have happened (a pebble hitting it and possibly caused to expand by a carwash). They informed me that it takes 3-4 hours to install, due to the time it takes for the adhesive to dry. I took it in first thing in the morning, and they called me by noon informing me it was ready to go. The whole process was as painless as possible, including a whole PikePass regulation that doesn't let them reuse stickers. I had to log into my account and request a replacement. Thankfully, they are an official pick-up location, so I was able to get a new transponder when I picked up my car with its brand-new windshield. The installation came with a glass guarantee, so that's an added bonus for peace of mind. read more

We wanted a contract with the job we requested, apparently this is to big of a request for this company to provide us with. They also wanted half down on a shower door install 1,500 dollars before anything was ever completed! They also wanted 300 dollars up front just to take measurements. Mr. Robinson seemed okay and nice on arrival and then the "mood" changed after we only wanted a contract! A contract protects buyers and sellers and isn't bad Mr. Robinson! Seems like your reviews are lacking lately and this is one of the reasons why we wanted protection! I think it's time to do a little better for customers and take pride in one's work. read more

It hasn't been a year since this happened, but I really had to give it a few months. I trusted Robinson Glass. I had recently undergone a home remodel of kitchen and two bathrooms/mater suite. They handled all showers and cabinet glass. Mistake: there was NO reason to put "seeded" glass in my master bath cabinets as requested in the kitchen. No one would take responsibility so, of course, I just had to pay for the unwanted upgrade. I blamed the contractor. Now I'm not sure. A painting that had hung above my bed, now had to be hung in its place over what had become a curtained wall. I asked if they could do it. They sent out Evan Elsberry. He said "sure" & bragged about all his big jobs. You know, the ones that mattered. Well, gosh, since he was so encouraging I asked if they could hang a couple mirrors; one over the tub & one above closet doors, toward the cathedral ceiling. Yea, yea, no problem. **Then** I remembered how I'd never gotten the mirrors I wanted on the inside of closet doors that are a "dressing room" walk through between master bedroom & mater bath. That's what they do! Cut glass! Evan proceeded to measure the inside panels, two on each door. So we could open up the dressing area and have mirrors. Then close the doors for decorative continuity. At the appointed time 4 guys showed up and started asking me all kinds of questions. Well, I'm not a contractor. I asked where Even was -- he planned everything, he knew what he was doing, not me!! I expressed my displeasure that he hadn't bothered to show. Well, they didn't know where he was, they were going by a "work order" Evan had prepared. But they acted confident and said they'd get it done. One guy went to work on hanging the master bath mirrors up high and the others proceeded to go into the attic, etc to "free float" my painting above my bed, in front of the now curtained wall. Right or wrong, depending on your experience, I made myself scarce & let them work. Besides I've always got plenty to do. It sure took a long time. But eventually the guy who hung the bath mirrors came stealthily into my breakfast room. (He should have **knocked** strongly on the kitchen door, declaring, "Ma'am." Not gone creeping around) The other guys had left. They were done. So, I went to check it out. ***I nearly had heart failure!! *** Evan had taken measurements & correctly cut the mirrors for the interior of my closets. This young crew decided it was all wrong (w/ inadequate instruction), took the mirrors back & RE-CUT them to fit the OUTSIDE of my doors! So, now I have an obscene "house of mirrors ", not my peaceful continuity. Resolution: I was not about to let them beat mirror panels off my beautiful doors but allowed installation of mirrors to the interior. Result? They're insanely heavy and won't stay open. The high mirrors weren't even cleaned. My husband had to get a ladder up the stairs and into the tub to clean. Nice job, guys. And BTW: My name's not BABE. read more

I ordered frameless shower door from them and was told 2-3 weeks. After 4 weeks I called and was told they would have it ready to install after the holiday. The door was expected to be installed well before the holiday and with guests arriving, we were down to one bathroom. They made appt to install between 8:30 and 10. After 10 am, I called and the scheduler advised I was on the schedule between 11:30 and 12:30 because builder requested after 10:30 am. I told her no builder involved and I was homeowner and had ordered and paid. She said the notes are n the computer! So????! Then I called at 12 noon and was told by another person I was on the schedule between 12 and 3 pm. My husband finally said cancel our order and get our money back to us. You can eat your shower door! They obviously did not consider us a valuable customer nor will they get our business again. Avoid Robinson when ordering g frameless shower door! Do not use this company!! I'm in the middle of a frameless shower install and it's been nothing but problems. The first time they were supposed to come out the service tech loaded up the order and found a part missing. I had to wait another week for them to get the part. I didn't hear from them so I called and they said they had me scheduled for the next day even though they never called to let me know that. Then the service team comes to install the new shower and the glass was measured wrong (the actual owner was the guy that took the measurement!) so now my old shower is gone, I have company that was using that shower and they have to reorder the glass!! Robinson Glass blew me away with their fast service! My car was broken into and the window was smashed in, so the next day I took my car to Robinson Glass at the recommendation of Car Toys. I arrive at Robinson Glass around 3:20ish to see about getting my window replaced, fully expecting to be ordering a window and coming in on a later date, but much to my surprise the lady asked the make and model of my car and asked "So, will you be waiting here?". This just blew me away! They had a widow for my 06' Scion XB in stock and ready to be installed, so by 4pm I was driving away with a brand new window! They were even nice enough to vacuum out all of the broken glass from my back seat! I would definitely recommend anyone to use Robinson Glass, though I hope you don't have to. This nightmare began in late August and came to fruition by 1st week of December. My 78 year old mother given a curio cabinet that didn't have the glass in it. She was so excited because she couldn't afford a curio cabinet and was finally going to be able to display all of her Jesus figurines. She insisted on using Robinson Glass because they were a Tulsa institution. Took the 1 plexiglass shelf that was left in on August 31st and dealt with Lynn. Lovely lady - good customer service. Paid $178.65 for 6 sheets of 1/4" plexiglass. Pretty damn pricey, first of all, for an old lady living on meager social security. But she wanted a place for her Jesus figurines, so she paid it. It took until 9/13 to get ready and I picked it up for her. Got it home and it was DEFINITELY NOT 1/4" thick. It was so flimsy you could use it as a fan. Took it back in and spoke with Lynn again. Decided to increase the size by and 1/8" on ALL SIDES and change the order to real glass. She indicated that the original order would be totally credited to the new order. As it should have been. Also changed to order to 5 panes of glass and awaited a pricing quote. Weeks had come and gone with no quote or call from Robinson. Finally called them on 11/10 to find out that Lynn was gone and who even knows where our order/quote had gone. "But they would look into it and call us back". No word. Mom finally got on the horn 11/24 and spoke with them by phone. Haggled with Caleb only to receive a petty $75 credit towards the new order. With the $75 credit and the decrease to 5 pieces instead of 6, she had to pay and additional $229.26 making the grand total paid $332.91 for 5 little curio shelves about the size of a boomerang. I went and picked them up, paid, and took them home. Guess what? They were the wrong size as you can see in the pictures. They were to be increased by 1/8" on all sides. We could have had this done at Lowe's here in Claremore for around $100, but the glass cutter was on lunch. Mom didn't want to wait and wanted to use a more reputable source in Tulsa. - So here we are are at Christmas time with an empty curio cabinet and a box of figurines. And Jesus wept. By the way................don't know why it says I'm from Albany NY. Did everything I could think of to update my profile to the correct town to no avail. So, that's kind of sucky Yelp. I had two of my windows fixed through them very friendly. Until something goes wrong, they fixed both windows on passenger side and back passenger side. They some how messed my door up when they took the door panel off, the door wouldn't open when I went to pick it up so I went back in and told them they said they would fix it so when I went to get it I guess they did something so it would open. So I left and the next morning I went to take kids to school and it wouldn't open again not even from the inside so I called them and said if you will make an appointment we will show you what's wrong but we are not responsible for fixing it. I've never had problems with this door at all. So they didn't fix it they just rigged it till I left the lot. read more

This company will take on a job that they are not qualified to do, highly unprofessional. So be aware! We have handcrafted ornate French doors, we needed a one panel replaced. So we hired this company, the person who oversaw the project knew they were doing it wrong. Ruining the trim around the window. "Breakage of trim will occur." Stated after the fact, on the charges. This company is not professional at all, while on site-- they did not provide any information to the home owner. No communication was exchanged to the home owner. This company will charge an arm and leg to ruin your beautiful doors. This is just advice, if you are needing any window repair. I wouldn't recommend this compan. I recently purchased a new home and most of the windows had lost their seal. As part of the sale/purchase, the seller agreed to fix any of the windows which were faulty. Robinson Glass was hired to provide the inspection. They MISSED 50% of the faulty windows. (It's VERY obvious which windows are faulty.) I was unable to be at the inspection and relied upon Robinson Glass. Now I have to fight to get these fixed after the sale is complete. When we reached out to Robinson Glass, they would not let is speak to the technician that did the inspection. Then they told us that it must not have been obvious that they were faulty? WHAT?! Trust me, it's obvious! I'm giving 2 stars for the windows that were replaced. They look good (so far) and were ordered and replaced quickly. I would give 2.5 stars out of 5 (50% - just like the windows they misdiagnosed) if it was possible. read more

I had Robinson replace my windshield and was called a few hours later and told the replacement was installed and the car was ready for pick-up. Upon arrival I inspected the windshield and noticed that the rubber trim around the windshield affixed to the metal window frame was seriously crumpled and not flush or properly sealed. In essence, water and air could penetrate the cabin and not properly defrost. I walked back into the showroom and talked to the shop manager (son of now deceased owner), he came out and looked at the installation and told me it was just cosmetic and not a problem. I disagreed and told him that and since I paid for a professional installation it should look like it did before and not be so unsightly. He angrily conceded and took the car to the back shop and 20 minutes late brought the car back and I left. The next cold morning I tried to defrost the windshield and it would NOT defrost more than a 12 inch diameter area in front of the driver and front passengers viewing area. All of the rest of the window was frosty with zero visibility. I went back to Robinson and was told that the install was done properly and that I had other issues that would have to be determined by a body shop to resolve my problem. I left very unhappy promising to never do business there again and to add insult to injury, a day later I was driving down Hwy 51 and a pebble hit the windshield and cracked it! This time I went to Safelite Glass Repair in Broken Arrow off 61st. Had the windshield replaced much cheaper than Robinson Glass and the next frosty morning the entire windshield cleared up in less than 2 minutes. Curious, I called Safelite Glass Repair to ask why they thought the defrost didn't work on the previous install by Robinson Glass and they stated "faulty installation, likely the trim was NOT sealed flush". Robinson never replaced the crumpled bad trim, they simply pressed as much of the crumple/crease out to look better. In addition, Safelite Glass Repair is a National Chain which guarantees their work and won't bicker or be reluctant to absorb the cost on a bad window or install. I will only go to Safelite Glass from now on. Read the other honest negative reviews here and see how Robinson will clutch every penny as soon as you give it to them and not stand behind their poor work. Once you pay, you're on your own. Evan at Robinson Glass went so far above and beyond for our custom window issue (skylight inserts made of laminated glass that keep the noise out and the heat and air in) that I just had to write this review. This may be the first one I've ever written online. Evan was so careful to get it right and so friendly through the whole process. We had to do some real problem solving and he was up for the challenge. I can't tell you the difference in the noise coming in through our skylights- it's just night and day. So much quieter. Brought my car in for a chip repair as filed by my insurance company. They said they weren't prepared to handle insurance claims on Saturday, although when I had called to make an appt, I had been told I could drop by at any time. They suggested I put the charge on my card and ask for my insurance to reimburse. The gentleman doing the repairs was helpful. The person working the desk was not friendly or helpful. On a recent trip from Michigan to Texas, we had a large rock smash our windshield. In the whole area from Sullivan, MO to Tulsa, OK they were the only place to have a windshield that would fit our car. Even though it meant leaving Springfield at 6 AM, we decided to do it and get it done. When we arrived they already had coordinated our insurance with the service. We travel with our dog, a lab, they were more than willing to have us in the waiting room with him. They were all very polite, professional and friendly. They got us back on the road before noon. The windshield had a trial by fire as we drove through horrible thunderstorms with the windshield holding up without a problem. Thanks to everyone at Robinsons for a great job. read more

We had two small windows in our bedroom replaced. The seals had broken over several years and moisture between the panes caused an unsightly view. We like to drink coffee and watch the birds from these windows every morning, so we finally decided to have new ones installed. One technician came out to measure the job and order the materials. Another technician (J.R.) came out and replaced the windows yesterday. The old windows were gone and the new ones installed in just over an hour. Excellent job and we are extremely pleased! Saturday mid morning we called Robinson Glass to see if they could help. They said yes. Put us on hold a few minutes to verify the part needed and said get in they would close at 1:00pm. Had my windshield replaced. Wasn't cheap. Was actually MORE than other quotes but I thought it would be worth the quality and customer care mentioned in their ads. Within one month there were two dings in the lower 6" of the windshield. Although it was sickening, this seems to come with the territory living in Oklahoma. However, within the week there were three cracks that splintered off of these two chips (this was spring, not winter). Within two months of replacement, these cracks extended about 9" up, 4' across the bottom of my 70" windshield. I actually got a warning from the police. When I took it back into Robinson (two months out), I noticed the rubber lining in front of the driver side was slightly poking out. Hadn't noticed it before and wasn't sure if that had any effect but I mentioned it when the man came out to look at my windshield. He poked it back in and said it didn't. Said there was nothing he could do because it was past 30 days and this was just "normal wear and tear." Six months after having it replaced, I got another rock ding where the rearview mirror hangs. In just a few days a 6" horizontal crack now extends from that ding. You can't tell me that's normal. If it is, I'm not sure how this company is still in business. I find it curious that the factory windshield that came with my Commander never split from the few chips it had in it for nine years. Even when someone dropped a can from an overpass, it shattered 1/4 of the windshield but didn't split off in the few days before I could get it fixed. Yet within two months of having a brand new windshield it already needed to be replaced. And they chose to do nothing about it. And weren't really apologetic about not being able to help me. Anyway, I've been meaning to leave this review for about six months now and am finally getting around to it. Hope it will save someone else time and money wasted on empty marketing promises. read more

I made an appointment to have a new windshield put in my 2000 Silverado a few weeks ago. Robinson Glass did it at their shop in an hour and a half while I sat in their customer lounge area. Total cost: $187. They did a flawless job and this was a completely painless install. Especially so after stupid Safellite showed up at my house the day before and chickened-out on the windshield replacement because my driveway is "too steep". Install guy was fine but right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing. Say their open on Sat till 1pm but answering service picks up and says they'll have to call me back. I don't know if my experience was a fluke or not. But overall, I was not too impressed. Had a window on the back of our house break. Called Robinson, since they are so widely known in the Tulsa area. Took a while before they were able to come out and measure. That's fine. But then a week passed with no further word from them. I called, and they wanted to set up a time for someone to come out and measure! Like they didn't even know they already had done that. So THEN they ordered a replacement window. I set up a time for them to install (10 days later was the soonest). Then two days before install, they called and said my window was not able to be ordered after all, and that we needed to push back install a little further. By now, it had been 3 weeks since I first contacted Robinson about my window. THEN, on the day before new install day, they called and said "our installer will be at your house between 8:30-9:00am tomorrow. They will call before arrival." Well, I received no call, and they arrived at 10:00am. Now, the installer himself was friendly, professional, and courteous. So no complaints there. But overall, it was a lot more difficult and frustrating experience than I was hoping for. Next time, I'll probably try someone else. read more
