let me just say the facility is very nice but half there are so many times where the whole center…read moreis closed. I'm sorry but you shouldn't be closing the entire community center for, it's supposed to be open to the publi. The worst thing if you're looking to shoot some hoops, we'll forget about that it's closed almost every day for pickleball or some other stuff. again I'm sorry but the whole court should not be closed off to people just wanting to shoot hope everyday. I came from Irondequoit where there gym was open almost everyday, even when they had events they don't close an ENTIRE, huge double gym, they just say "hey stick to the far right corner hoop" "sure no problem" this is absurd, I pay taxes and can't even do something I love because it's closed 99.9999% of the time. Like I said you don't need to close off the entire gym just tell people to keep it to one particular hoop, I don't need the whole gym, I understand there are events and such but you do not need to close an entire gym for those. Regretting moving here but my lease is up in the summer and hopefully I'll be moving elsewhere and checking with the community center first. Irondequoit was far better I could go there everyday and shoot, sure sometimes they would say "hey come back at 7:00" or most of the time "just stick to whatever hoop they're not using" and I would always ask with the people playing if it was okay. The worst part is there isn't even any other courts near hear. Hopefully the director sees this and can change some things.

Beautiful new community center. Super large gym with high ceilings, an indoor walking track, rooms…read moreavailable for meetings, fitness classes and programing. The library is on the first floor, also completely new space and there's a senior center. All programming and events can be found on the website. The space is beautiful and the staff have been very friendly. Only things missing from this beautiful space is there is no excercise equipment like treadmills or weights for lifting and the gym is so unbelievably hot. They claim there's air conditioning but it feels like it's got to get into the 80s, possibly higher. Everyone despite fitness level is pretty much dripping. It's gross. I hope this do something about the temperature soon. It's open to residents and non residents until labor day with no restrictions, after labor day sounds like for non residents it's $25 for the year to use the facility and for residents it will remain free.

Took a Sunday walk to Farmington Park for some tennis and sunshine! Overall: a fine park to spend…read moreyour afternoon. Tennis courts are really beautiful and don't seem to get a ton of use. I had pretty much steered clear of this park since the curb appeal is well...suspect (RG&E zone blocks the park from Farmington St). There is a bit of a litter problem in this park and it is in need of some pretty basic updates. The baseball diamond takes up the majority of the park and there is some lovely shade and greenery just behind. There is a single hoop basketball court with picnic tables in the rear. There was a family kickball game going on during our visit which was super adorable, and I would love to come back and do the same with friends at some point, given the convenient location. It's walking distance from my house and a great spot to hone some tennis skills, so I will be back again soon! I would love to see some beautifications so people can really enjoy an entire afternoon as opposed to just stopping by.

Being a small town girl, I'm accustomed to cozy rural ballparks with kids underfoot, a snack bar…read moreand a playground. This is not that kind of park. The backdrop is a rather large RG&E power station and some older houses on the edge of the city. But with that being said, it's actually a quaint little setup. The baseball field is spacious and fairly well maintained. There is a nice tennis court and a small picnic area. The ball field bleachers are even in pretty good shape, which is a big plus for wooden bleachers. On the downside, the fencing around the perimeter is in pretty rough shape and there is a real shortage of parking.

Amazing addition to the town of Henrietta! So glad they made sure to have a nice large parking lot…read moreof so many people to be here at once. You have to have a membership to participate in the programs or the open gym and track areas. Membership fees for Henrietta residents $10 a year for adults 18-59, $5 a year for ages 5-17. Membership is free for Seniors, veterans and children 0-4. Non residents are $30 a year for adults and $15 a year for youth, seniors and veterans. Free for kids 0-4. Once you are a member you get a key tag for easy scanning. With so many different programs to do here such as gymnastics, pickle ball, soccer, volleyball, basketball and music classes... your best bet is to check out their website for a listing of activities. Some programs require additional fees. My niece has a blast with the preschool open gym. Only $40 for so much fun and activities. There are a lot of free activities here too, playing basketball on one of the courts is always popular. My favorite activity here is using the upstairs running/walking track. The track overlooks the basketball courts and gymnastics area. Nine times around the track equals a mile. You can also book one of the rec center rooms for your own events, see website for pricing. A nice alternative to other options in the area.
