I have had the distinct pleasure of having been treated by Dr. Robin Brody for over ten years. Suffering with allergies and occasional asthmatic symptoms, I have seen her at least several times each year. Each time, I have left the office feeling like I have had ample time to explain my concerns to her and for her to hear what I have to say, and that she has conducted appropriate diagnostics and clarified to me her final assessment and her suggested patient plan. I whole-heartedly and without reservation endorse her as do all members of my family. I never leave the office without her admonition to call her if the prescribed treatment does not have me feeling better within a designated time frame. Her prescribed treatment has always left me feeling much better. On the few occasions when my body was either not responding to treatment or responding more slowly than I had anticipated, after contacting her as advised, she has often chosen to follow up the initial regimen with a short-term antibiotic or steroidal treatment resulting in a full recovery and/or accelerating the healing process. As a professional orchestral musician for the Metropolitan Opera, specifically a woodwind player for whom breath support and control and freely moving airways are critical to my work, I have found her to be sensitive to my particular needs. She is appropriately conservative in dispensing some medications--antibiotics, for example--that would not necessarily be more beneficial than mere time and rest for a condition I presented. That said, Dr. Brody's understanding of and respect for the specific demands of my job--my inability to perform with a hacking cough, for e inability to perform with a hacking cough, for example--have occasionally led her to choose to treat my symptoms in a more aggressive way. In short, she is not just treating a medical condition; she is treating the patient. I would be remiss if I did not also acknowledge the other fine doctors on staff with ENT and Allergy by whom I and members of my family have been treated, including Dr. Lee Eisenberg and Dr. Sima Mithani. It is additionally worth noting that the office staff is thoroughly professional and pleasant. Over the ten-plus years that I have been seeing Dr. Brody and others physicians at ENT and Allergy, office management has been on the forefront of implementing new services and technology for more efficient doctor-patient communication: adding phone and text appointment reminders, establishing a patient portal, creating a phone app which, among other things, provides the patient with the ability to view any doctor's availability for future appointments and book appointments online at any time. Waited almost an hour for appointment. Then Dr. Brody took a phone call for 10 minutes while in the room with us discussing another patient. Completely rude once we began speaking with her. Pretty much dismissed all my daughter's concerns and spoke down to her. Said our primary didn't know what they were talking about. An absolute waste of our time. So disappointed. read more

Dr. Brody was rude, arrogant, and dismissive toward both me and my son throughout the visit. She seemed bothered that we were speaking another language, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Instead of showing patience and understanding, her attitude came across as cold and unprofessional. Her lack of compassion, respect, and basic manners made the entire experience very upsetting for our family. A doctor should make patients feel respected, safe, heard, and cared for regardless of their background or language, and unfortunately that was not our experience with her. read more

I brought my daughter here and to see Dr. Brody, and she was extremely rude dismissive and talk to me and my minor child as if we were scum. I explained to her that I wasn't the one who made the appointment and I understand that what we were there for we should've made an appointment for a different doctor understood she turned to me with the nastiest look on her face and said well I did not make the appointment either. She was also asking my daughter a question. Yes, my teenage daughter had her headphones on, but they were behind her ears and while my daughter was explaining why she was there the doctor cut her off and said get those off while you're talking to me I think she is very arrogant and need not work with patient if she isn't empathetic enough to do so when I try to cut the appointment off and said fine we will leave. I will make an appointment with the right doctor, but I would like my co-pay back. Her response was I'm gonna do it, but I don't wanna do it. read more

Extremely dismissive, rude and arrogant. Has tremendous contempt for her patients and has a hard time hiding it. She thinks if she speaks in a cheerful intonation then her dismissive attitude won't be noticed. She literally says "mmhmm" in order to feign interest before you even get one word out. When doing an endoscopy to look down my throat, she was not gentle at all, causing me extreme discomfort. When I told her I couldn't take it anymore (and I am someone who tolerates discomfort and pain extremely well) she dismissed my concern and said "we're almost done" instead of stopping right then and there. I've had this done before by another excellent doctor from that practice (Dr. Wasserman) and it was a breeze. Finally, she will dictate her notes in front of you all the while repeating what you told her with tremendous contempt and condescension for you. I've been a patient of Dr. Brody for many years . That should say it all if I didn't like her I wouldn't go back. She is caring, extremely personable and professional. I trust her and her expertise. It's worth the wait. Office staff is always cordial. Great care. read more

Condescending, rude, and spoke to my husband and I as if we were less than her. Has an obvious contempt for her patients and has no empathy. My husband visited her to treat his vertigo, and she roughly did physical therapy on him, with enough force to exacerbate his symptoms and leave him nauseous and dizzy for hours. She did not allow him a moment to gather himself and had no empathy when he expressed immense discomfort and nausea. He was cold, sweating, and visibly sick. After some time, EMT was necessary to bring him to the hospital due to his extreme symptoms. He walked in there and left in a wheelchair. Thanks Dr. Brody. We will not be returning. read more

I wish I would have seen these reviews prior to seeing Robin Brody for my toddler-she has no training in compassionate care in pediatrics and that should be taken off her bio. Her body language, tone and procedures were aggressive and I wish I would have never taken my child there. We got a second opinion and it was a completely different experience. Absolutely horrible. No bedside manner whatsoever. That's the reason she is available in a short notice. She over talks you and is very condescending. I'm a health care professional and was appalled at the way she acted with me. My ear was so infected I needed antibiotics not drops. She refused to let me talk to explain my severe symptoms. She hurt me when I told her to be careful and she didn't give a damn either. Disgusting that someone has the nerve to look down on others when they need help the most. She doesn't deserve one star. Shame cause most of the doctors there are really good. But none will be like dr Eisenberg. He was top notch. read more

I was late for my appointment by 20 minutes due to a torrential downpour and Traffic and the doctor told me I had to reschedule. I'm in an emergency situation and now I'm left out in the cold. The office staff was very rude to me and spoke down to me. Do yourself a favor and find another ENT. Meantime the office was packed which means they overbooked which is typical of doctors lately. read more

My husband went to see Dr. Brody today to have his ears cleaned. He has never seen Dr. Brody before. He has seen other doctors at this practice. He has only had positive experiences. Dr. Brody however, was condescending, openly hostile and talked over my husband. She put an instrument into his ear and told him he was moving too much. She had hurt him. He has never had this issue with any other doctors at ENT Allergy Associates Dr. Brody perhaps should become a coroner so she doesn't have to deal with the living. . You have been warned. read more

1st time patient at this practice and will not be returning. Bad experience with this doctor Robin Brody. If I read these reviews before my appt I would have never gone and cancelled immediately. She was not welcoming or sympathetic of me after telling her I came out from the ER. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR, she comes out snotty and not humble. The worst experience I've ever had with any Dr. She is rude, condescending and openly displays frustration if you aren't explaining everything perfectly or to her liking. She had zero interest in my concerns , talked over me and was even sarcastic. I didn't get any help at all & have no intentions of ever returning. I was upset over it all day. The worst experience I ever had!!! I have been struggling with hearing loss and a lot of pressure in my ear. I decided to go to see Dr. Brody hoping she will be able to help me. My first visit went okay. I wasn't too impressed with her people skills but I listened to what she had to say and followed her treatment closely as I was really desperate to get better. She asked me to come back in two weeks for a follow up. I was very anxious to go back as my hearing loss was not improving and I continued with even more pressure in both of my ears. My follow up appointment was at 8:20 which started with a hearing test that took about 5 mins. Right after, I was asked to wait in the waiting room to be called in by Dr. Brody. Around 9:10 the technician who performed my hearing test came out surprised saying " you are still here?" I asked her if she could see why I am not being called in and after looking into it she told me that my appointment with Dr. Brody was not until 9 am which made no sense as the hearing test was scheduled for 8:20. I continued to wait until 9:45 and at that point I stood up and asked again what is going on?! I knew that my issues was serious and time sensitive so I was going ask Dr Brody to give me a referral to see an otolaryngologist. I asked if there is someone else who can give me the referral but I was told I had to continue to wait and the nurse wasn't sure how much longer Dr. Brody was going to be. Being a busy mom, I had another appointment scheduled at 10 which meant I had to leave the office without actually getting any help. I would strongly recommend you think twice before making your appointment especially if it you are experiencing similar issues. I am basically starting over and not sure if at this point I will be able to get my hearing back. read more

Sent my college age child to see Dr Brody. My child is extremely polite and respectful and found Dr Brody to be nasty, impatient and condescending. She made her feel extremely uncomfortable and my child didn't do anything to deserve that. We will not be returning to this practice. read more

Dr. Robin M. Brody is a superb ENT at ENT and Allergy Associates in Hackensack, NJ. She is a superb physician who really cares about her patients. I have seen her several times a year for the past decade for vertigo and allergy issues, as well as with the occasional respiratory infection (bacterial/viral). She is almost always available on short notice, follows-up by phone whenever she promises to do so, responds to messages promptly and is always kind and caring when doing so. Ten years ago, I had a bout of dizziness and got an immediate appointment. She had me scheduled within two hours for an MRI of the brain to rule out anything significant (which, thank goodness, it did). Other doctors might have told me "you need to get an MRI" and left me to set it up, a process that can take days. I cannot recommend Dr. Brody highly enough. She is a pro's pro. read more

Dr Brody was amazing with my daughter after she fractured her nose during soccer practice. She is efficient, thorough and professional. Her direct approach is comforting in its own right. She answered our questions and informed us of potential outcomes. The outcome was quite beautiful and my daughter's nose was corrected very nicely. read more

This doctor has no bedside manner. I came in for a follow up for my ears. However, I was having a problem with something else that I found more important at the time. She rudely told me we will deal with your follow up first. It like she was concerned with my feelings at all. read more

I thought Dr. Brody was Excellent as was my entire visit. She was prompt, polite, courteous and thorough. She examined me and explained everything clearly as she proceeded.
