As I wake up while my teeth are being scraped and I'm feeling pain, I said "I am supposed to be asleep for this" and was told "yeah, but you were snoring". After repeating that, and being told again that I was snoring, they stopped cleaning and wheeled me out to my truck for my husband to drive me home. I paid an extra $141.00 for extra sleep time so my teeth would be totally cleaned. I did not get what I paid for! The total amount was over $1,100.00 and my teeth are not completely clean and I'm very upset over it and want to warn others.

i reached out to this dental office because it had good Google reviews. Shortly after meeting with…read moreDr. Meyers I began having sharp pains in my jaw, radiating out to my teeth and ear. I went in to see him again and asked what could be done. He said I had an abscess under an old root canal and the jaw pain was TMJ. He said that the antibiotic he was going to give me would have me feeling much better in a couple of days. As for the TMJ, I was told to get a mouth guard to wear at night, put heat on the jaw, massage the jaw and take Tylenol for the pain. I requested he give me something stronger for the pain since Tylenol doesn't do much for me. He reluctantly gave me a Rx for 8 tablets of Tylenol #3 which has codeine in it. This worked quite well at relieving the pain and I also expected relief when I had taken enough of the antibiotic. 5 days later the pain was not any better. I still had sharp pains radiating from my jaw to my ear with no relief using the heat or massage. and I was now out of the Tylenol #3. I could barely open my mouth and chewing anything was excruciating! I called into the office to ask what I should do and was told to use heat on the jaw, and take Tylenol for the pain. They said they would refer me to a physical therapist who specializes in TMJ to help with the pain. The next day I called to see if I could get a refill of the Tylenol #3 because the pain was so bad. They told me that they did not want to give me another prescription because it would just "mask the symptoms". Yes, that's what I wanted! Something to mask the symptoms of pain shooting through my right jaw! They said the only thing they could do was suggest heat, Tylenol , a mouth guard and to go to the physical therapist they referred me to. When I said that the physical therapist had not called me yet, they told me they were closed that day and perhaps they would get in touch with me the following day. So, even though I am doing everything they are telling me to do to get the problem under control (my mouth guard was on order and expected within the week), I had to live with this pain because they didn't want to give me another prescription for the Tylenol #3. I couldn't believe it. They would rather I deal with this pain until I could get my mouth guard and see a PT than give me the prescription. The first time I got the prescription, Dr. Meyers made references to how dangerous opioids were and seemed so hesitant to give me the prescription. I'm a 64 year old woman who has had pain medication prescribed to me for decades while never abusing it or becoming addicted to it. I couldn't believe that this doctor would withhold something from me that would relieve my pain until other means to relieve it became available. I was asking for 8 pills! Not 48. Just enough to get by until I could get in to see their PT and start wearing my mouth guard. It was truly unbelievable that a healthcare professional would treat a patient like this. Let me just say that if you have any dental pain at all for any reason I would NEVER go to this doctor because he would rather you suffer than give you pain medication that could help you. Honestly, I have never been treated so poorly by a healthcare professional in all my life. You've been warned... P.S. I would like to give them more stars because the dental staff was very efficient and helpful but I was too offended by Dr. Meyers' actions to consider the other members of his team.

I was diagnosed with a rare disease that went undiagnosed for years and unfortunately it rotted out my teeth. Because of such I have had to have alot of dental work. A few months ago I went to a chain place in town and they absolutely TORTURED me pulling out two of my teeth. Tortured to the point I still have nightmares due to the experience, so I went elsewhere and am so thankful that I did. From the get go Dr. Barney and his staff have been incredible. They are willing to work with me on everything and each and every member of the team is so very compassionate and understanding. I was actually shocked with how quick and painless my last extraction was. Dr. Barney was gentle, my tooth was out within minutes, in fact I didnt even realize he was pulling it I thoight he was still checking the numbing, I felt nothing. And besides about half a second of discomfort I didn't really feel the needles going in to numb the site. Dr. Barney and his asistants took great care with me, making sure I was comfortable, in as little pain as possible and didn't let me leave the office until my bleeding was under control. I highly reccomend Dr. Barneys office for all of your dental work, he has my patronage for life.

Other offices I called in the valley would only able to get me in a week from when I called. LC Smiles got me in the next morning to prevent the problem from getting worse. Huge plus. It was like going to a spa. They offered me drinks coffee, water, whatever I wanted. And then in the exam room they had a TV placed above so I could watch a movie while I was getting the filling repaired. It was placed so when I was fully leaned back, the TV faced me. It looks odd until I was in the seat. Then it made sense. Watching James Bond while having dental work done - a cool experience. They have hot facial towels, heat & massage chairs, quite an array of items. The bite rest was a huge thing for me. Although I like my other dental office, they never offered that. It made it so much easier to have the work done at LC Smiles instead of me having to kill my jaw to keep my mouth open to have the repair done. I loved that. The price is very reasonable an emergency repair job. The gift blanket was a nice touch, too. I don't have insurance here, so price was a big deal. But the price was right on point. They were very caring and told me everything that was going to happen. I have definitely found myself a new dentist super close to home. Yay!
