While visiting Worcester on business I took a look in Robin Elt Shoes with no intention whatsoever of doing anything other than looking around the shop. It is a traditional shoe shop of the kind that sadly, has largely disappeared from the High Street. It had a broad range of quality shoes, including classic brogues and welted leather sole construction(highest quality) footwear. Noticeable were the helpful friendly staff. The quality of the products on display in Robin Elt were in such great contrast to the shoddily-made plastic items I see in many other' shoe shops' that 'I purchased a pair of 'Barkers' Northamptonshire-made gent's shoes. and at a fraction of the price that I would have had to pay at most other 'quality' outlets that sell Barkers/Loakes/ TecNic'/ Grenson footwear. They even had shoes in 'half' sizes - a rare thing today. In terms of the 'ease of purchase' (friendly knowledgeable shop staff who were not 'pushy' or overbearing) , the 'ambience' (the shop is traditional, no gimmicks), and excellence of the product sold: I give 'Robin Elt a 'five star' rating. They are as 'good as it gets' Thank you to the staff at the Worcester shop. read more
